It's a trendy mp3 player. I'd never pay my own money for it, but I'll gladly take one as a gift. And I did. Edwin, I already use iTunes, but the iPod comes with software that allows you to download the program, which is handy, I guess, if you don't know how to go to the website and do it yourself.

As for the rest of this day, I was I gonna go see The Life Aquatic, but, since I only slept about five hours the night previous, I may just see it tomorrow. Today will be all about me playing with my iPod.

The suspense in Shaun was handled well enough, and there were a couple of touches I liked (the group's pretending to be zombies so as not to be noticed by the real zombies). However, much of the comedy was more than dumb and the people themselves were flat and uninteresting. I realize having fully-developed characters isn't a pre-requisite for a zombie movie, but, as Superstar was getting at, the film spent thirty fucking minutes setting up these characters with exposition that could've been handled with a couple of lines of dialogue. And one more thing, PLAGIARISM!, I've seen Withnail and I five or six times and watched all the episodes of The Young Ones many more times than that. British humour (note the 'u') isn't lost on me.

The comment about the record sequence was sarcasm. As for the rest, I've seen enough British movies to where nothing in Shaun was lost on me (a Yank); the movie wasn't that obscure.

I don't know what I missed; I caught the Stone Roses gag in the scene where they're throwing records at the zombies, after all. Anyway, the suspense was handled well, but the characters were just so achingly boring.

I just got back from my night out; earlier in the day, I promised my mother I'd be at her house at 10am. A decision I now regret. But this place I went to was having an 80s night, wherein they played Echo and the Bunnymen's "The Killing Moon," so it was worth it, really.

I watched Shaun of the Dead earlier, which was dull, and some of the Arrested Development season 1 DVD, which was very much not dull. Still waiting to get drunk.

I'm gonna go get hammered in about an hour.

The other day, bored, I turned on AIM on my phone for the first time. I quicky flipped it off, but now I have that stupid Mobile Device list on my buddylist. It's nice to know, however, that Edwin, godthedog, Flyboy and EricMM all have, at one point, used this horrible feature.

I'm too full of seasonal cheer to wanna turn this into another y2jailbait situation, so let's let this one slide.

This is true, but that's what I was listening to, and there's no real way to connect Will Oldham to Ashanti. When I saw him back in June, Oldham and his band did a fairly straight cover of "Ignition" (not the remix, though), so he does like him some mainstream R&B.
