  1. Yeah, but this is just the mods' playtoy. How will I, the average TSM boarder, benefit?
  2. I've been informed as to what you people are talking about, and LAME.
  3. What the fuck are you people talking about?
  4. If alfdogg is made mod of the Graphics folder I will lead an invasion of the Graphics folder.
  5. Quit being wrong, everyone.
  6. "Extended," not "overly long." The songwriting is strong enough on that album to justify many of the songs' epic running times. And if the prospect of lengthy jams still troubles you, I ask that you consider 1999 to be Kraftwerk Gone Funky. And if that doesn't appeal to you, I don't know what else to say. But enough of derailing this thread.
  7. 1999 Dirty Mind Purple Rain Sign o' the Times That's the top four.
  8. I won't argue with you about your basic point, but really, I didn't underrate "I'm Still Here" at all. It would've got a 10 had it not been so short. And why not Devo: Q: Are We Not Men?/A: We are Devo! (1978) Uncontrollable Urge - 7 (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction - 8 Praying Hands - 7 Space Junk - 7 Mongoloid - 10 Jocko Homo - 6 Too Much Paranoias - 7 Gut Feeling/Slap Your Mammy - 9 Come Back Jonee - 5 Sloppy (I Saw My Baby Gettin') - 8 Shrivel Up - 9
  9. And, in spite of what other people might say, Sign o' the Times, while fantastic, is only Prince's fourth best album.
  10. There's a couple of each of their albums that do, but the vox are usually buried low in the mix, so it's almost like it's not there at all.
  11. I thought only girls liked Muse, so that's neither here nor there.
  12. DJ Jeff's birthday was yesterday and no one said a damn thing, so try to show some respect, okay?
  13. Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. A couple of good-to-great songs, but mostly twee bullshit.
  14. Now, guys, you didn't have to ban CWM just to make me happy.
  15. Ya know, I was just thinking about how I really only come to TSM these days to see what CWM is saying in the Site Feedback folder.
  16. Today, I put on Zen Arcade with every intent of rating each song, but I stopped at "Hare Krsna." I was trying to view that particular track outside of the context of the album; I realized it just wouldn't score very high outside of the album, but, within the record itself it works perfectly. And for that reason, more so than with the aforementioned Spiderland and Pink Flag, I just cannot rate this album on a song-by-song basis. Everything about it—from the blistering hardcore to the fuzzy, catchy pop tunes to the experimental tape loops—is absolutely essential to the Zen Arcade experience. For what it's worth, the songs that would rate a 10 are "Never Talking to You Again," "Pink Turns to Blue," "Whatever" and "Turn On the News." Three of those Hart tunes, yeah, but I generally prefer Mould.
  17. Modern Lovers, if you want to be anal, and yeah, great song.
  18. You're never gonna like any indie rock, dude. It's okay.
  19. Shut the fuck up BifEverchad, you racist.
  20. Regale us with more stories of your encounters with internet wrestling celebrities, Banky.
  21. Hey, fuck you guys for not staying home on a Friday night.
  22. I just got back from the gym, and I'm now more confident than ever I can beat up Kinetic.
  23. I know. I'm just saying Agent probably wouldn't go for any of those bands.
  24. cellardoor was worth it for a few posts in that one thread.
  25. Also, you're in South Carolina. Anyway, I'm thinking of going to the gym, but I'm in a state where I have a lot of pent-up energy, though I don't feel like doing anything terribly physical.
