The Who had a lot of great songs, but the closest they came to making a great album was Live at Leeds, which itself was imperfect.

I was at a Five Guys earlier; whatever radio station they had it tuned to was playing the Traveling Wilburys' "Handle with Care." So there I was grooving along, having a grand ol' time, waiting for my burger and fries, only to have the moment ruined when the dj came on and said "That was Tom Petty & the Hearbreakers doing 'Handle with Care.'" If I had known what the hell station it was, I'd have called them up and given them what for.

I met a girl in a bar who liked 'You Better You Bet' by the Who. I should have taken things further. What an awful song.

I can't vouch for every state, but here, you can only get fined for not wearing a seatbelt if you were pulled over something unrelated (ie speeding or broken tail light). Anyway, specifically searching for drivers w/o seat belts seems not only a waste of time, but also slightly risky.

Rubin's been coasting on his reputation for years. As Edwin alluded to, he can still produce a great rap single now and then (ref. "99 Problems"), but outside of that, what? And don't throw Johnny Cash in my face; the string of Rubin-produced American recordings were little more than cashing in (pun not intended) on a man's legacy.

Paragon is like 15 so I can believe he's never heard any of those songs.

I made it through all of Orphans only once, and each individual disc maybe a couple of times each.

The Brain didn't come to TSM until after treble, bob barron and myself spent a couple of hours trolling the shit out of DDT. This was after Downhome was exiled from there and sought shelter here, by the way.

I, for one, am looking forward to a Downhome reign and hope this means we'll be seeing more of Ted (he's a Ted, right?) down here in the lower folders.

Guys, had the Replacements named the album Revolver and I started a poll asking which was better, Revolver by the Beatles or Revolver by the Replacements, I wouldn't fault anyone for voting Beatles, though I myself would still vote for the Replacements. But they didn't name the album that and I did not start a poll about it. They named it Let It Be and it's widely considered a classic by anyone who's well-versed in rock music. The Beatles' Let It Be is generally dismissed as the worst non-Magical Mystery Tour Beatles album. And no, the Beatles at their worst is not better than other bands at their best, so don't trot out that cliched argument.

I don't remember that. I do remember people here debating the merits of Tim vs. Pleased to Meet Me re: best Replacements album, while no one was mentioning Let It Be.

Nor I in the five I've been here. I haven't been so lucky at some of the satellite boards, however.

They're doing it to spite you. Perhaps they resented that I told them the correct answer in the first post. As for the Beatles album, "Two of Us" is good, but the rest is passably slight to overproduced dreck. The worst thing I can say about the Replacements album is "Tommy Gets His Tonsils Out" and "Gary's Got a Boner" are two sides of the same juvenile, if fun, coin.
