"George Bush never looked into Nick's eyes"
Vern Gagne replied to Downhome's topic in Current Events
marxist.com A sign on the Berg’s lawn read: ‘‘War is not the answer.’’ Berg said it belonged to an organization called ANSWER, which is an acronym for Act Now to Stop the War and End Racism. -
Kruk also said Jared Washburne should win the Cy Young because he has the most wins in the American League. Despite run support of like 7 per game, and an era barely under 5.00.

I really hate teams that can't play defense.

Are you Peter Gammons? Does he look like Andrew Jackson? Twins place Shannon Stewart on 15 Day DL. Called up Justin Morneau from Rochester.

You mean the Boston Globe isn't the only paper in the country? (sarcasm)

CBS News said yesterday. Chalabi was passing top secret information to Iran, and was interfering with the oil for food inquiry.

Actually I read that he belongs to a radical left group and has always hated Bush. I'm too lazy to look that up but I'm sure someone else will... Berg is a member of ANSWER. A marxist organization. -

What in god's name is wrong with Oswalt? These injuries suck for the Twins. Stewart, Dougie Alphabet, and Rivas all have day to day injuries so they aren't on the DL, but they aren't available stretching the bench rail thin.

News on the Expos ESPN.COM While I want the issued resolved. I hope it's somewhere other than Washington, D.C. They've had two franchises move already, why do they get another team?

Just a poll about what kind of baseball you prefer

Pitcher's duel all the way. Way too often slug fests are the result of bad pitching. -
This better not be a ploy to get more from Stanford on Montgomery's part.
-
It's bad pitching. Country got a hanger and knocked it out of the park. The Twins have a shitload of injuries. Mauer, Koskie, Dougie Alphabet, Stewart, Punto. That's the corner infield, catcher, LF and leadoff man, and utilityman.

If they have height restrictions, why was 7-foot-1 David Robinson allowed to go to/play for the Naval Academy? I know Robinson was deemed too tall to do some things military-wise, but he could still train to be an officer. David Robinson wasn't 7-1 when he entered the Naval Academy. He grew like 6 inches his first year there. No reason why Army and Navy shouldn't be on par with Air Force in football. Air Force isn't Miami, but their usually a 7-8 win team every year, and finish in the top half of the Mt. West.

Is this the first time since 1994, a Canadian team has made the Stanly Cup Finals? I'll be rooting for Calgary if they play the Flyers. I wouldn't mind either Tampa Bay or Calgary winning. If it does turn out to be Calgary/Tampa Bay that has to be the biggest suprise Stanly Cup finals ever.

Troy Hudson is on the IR. The series itself. Neither the Lakers or the Wolves have anyone who can stop Shaq, or KG. The Wolves will likely play hack-a-Shaq. The Lakers may allow KG to score his points, and make the others beat them. l

The person most responsible for the two terms is George Washington. No amendment or rule of law set a term limit for the President. It was Washington who did the 2 term 8 years. After that for more than 130 years, every President took that has the unwritten rule. Than Roosevelt ran 4 times. That's when the 22nd Amendment was added.

*Interesting how this happened right after Rummy visited the country.*

NBC has the US Open (aside from the British, the tournament I make sure to watch every year), as well as the Ryder Cup, Presidents Cup, Players Championship (the so-called fifth major) and Bay Hill Invitational, among others. They're doing all right at golf. They've also got one of the best analyst in any sport Johnny Miller.

Bryant will guard Sprewell. He's a good defender, so the Lakers shouldn't have to worry about that matchup. The Lakers win in 6. The Wolves haven't even played that great. Game 7... KG is huge, the Kings play like crap and they only win by 3. This is how I look at things. The Wolves have to beat the Lakers 4 times. Not one time. But 4 times.

Anyone have a site that ranks the best fastball pitchers, best curveball, and so on?
