  1. A speedy recovery to Mr. Moe. He let the players play basketball. The Nuggets were on of the most enjoyable teams to watch in the 80's.
  2. Why did ESPN have two women's team on the best list, and none on the worst list?
  3. This imo is what the Olympic team should look like from here on out. A majority of the players like 9 25 and under, and 3 spots reserved for veteran players.
  4. BoSox fans please tell me Pedro isn't pitching Thursday?
  5. Keep in mind though the first two rounds had perfect conditions. On the weekend, it became a true US open course. Sunday's average round was 79. The worst since the '72 US Open.
  6. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/3689615.stm Yes, because its only Muslims who are capable of these kinds of atrocities, isn't it? Of course not. Horrible people exist in every religion. Muslem murderers tend to commit these horrible acts in the name of their religion. More so than other religions.
  7. Interesting Bill James ranks Arky Vaughan the 2nd best SS behind Honus Wagner. At least that's what Rob Neyer said in his Book of Lineups. OT-Does anyone have a list of players who spent their entire careers with one team, and played at least 10 seasons?
  8. I know like 17 starters return, but since they've won the Rose Bowl we've heard the same thing and Wisconsin has been a failure. 13 conference wins the last 4 years. That's just too many mediocre seasons, too continue to be ranked in the Top 20. Which is were most publications have them listed.
  9. I love the US Open. It's the ultimate test and makes the very best golfers look like weekend hacks. Sure has hell beats Vijay Sing shoot -20.
  10. A note on the '82 Twins who made honorable mention. That was the first year for alot of the nucleus of the 87 championship.
  11. Once again more proof of the religion of peace.
  12. Timmy F'ing Chang has been nothing but hype for 4 years. Sure he throws alot of TD's, but that's too be expected in Hawaii's offense. He also throws too many Int's, and is injury prone. He has no business being the favorite for the Heisman.
  13. Scott is the biggest name dropper in sports. I was talking with Shaq, or I was talking with AI. Shut the hell up about who you were taking too. No one cares, and the only reason they talk too you is you're a little asskisser.
  14. Athlon does an outstanding job. All 117 team's projected starters and backups. A great magazine too get to know some of the lesser known players and teams. National Championship is usually a bitch to figure out. Last year neither LSU or USC were national championship contenders going into the season. Same goes for Tennessee, Oklahoma, and Ohio St. when they won it.
  15. Twins have Joe Nathan and possibly Lew Ford making the team. Speaking of the Twins. They need bullpen help. Terry Muholland has no business being in the game with the score tied in the 8th inning.
  16. Benedict Arnold Andrew Dice Clay Stone Phillips
  17. Edgar Alan Poe Dylan Thomas Laura Ingels Wilder
  18. What bothers me about the Stanly Cup, the US Open, SportsCenter or any appearance Flinstone makes we're supposed to be all exited and honored Flinstone could take time out of his busy schedule and grace us with his presence.
  19. Nice to see Ebert still isn't angry at Moore for beating him in the Cannes Hot Dog eating contest back in '98.
  20. Idiot Dusty doesn't have Moises Alou a RH hitter, face a LH Mark Redman in the 8th instead he has a weak hitting LH hitter in Tom Goodwin.
  21. Hi I'm Fred Flinstone. I'll grace the NHL with my presence in Tampa Bay, but no chance in hell I go to Canada.
  22. They've got an hour too waste. Gotta fill it with something. Anyone catch the unfunny Zack Selwyn fill in for Tony Reali on ATH last week. God was he terrible. Every question and comment he made just had to be followed by some cleavor and witty comment.
  23. 5.1985 Chicago Bears 4.2002-Women's UConn Hoops 3.1983-1984 Edmonton Oilers 2.1995-1996 Chicago Bulls 1.1998 New York Yankees
  24. Anyone have any news on Mike Williams appeal process? I have a feeling Georgia (Green, and Pollack) will be on the cover of the SI CFB preview addition. The Gophers might have their best team in 40 years. New QB in Culpito, but the O-Line is outstanding, and the running game is the best in the country. The D's very talented, and if they can play up to their potential. A Big 10 championship isn't out of the picture. At least making a New Year's Day Bowl would be nice.
  25. Is it SI or another magazine? Because, SI doesn't usually release their college football preview until August.
