Gee you think it would take two and a half years of convincing if it weren't for tradition? They were pissed off with the Orange Bowl last year when they stole Iowa away and prevented a traditional Pac-10/Big Ten match-up. Its no coincidence that last year was the first Rose Bowl to not sell out in nearly 60 years. It wasn't necessarily the fault of the Oklahoma fans as they sold out their 35,000 seats allotment and so did Washington State but the regular fan who goes the Rose Bowl every year wasn't buying tickets last year. Expect the same this year with Texas or the SEC champ. Here is quote from Rose Bowl CEO Mitch Dorger earlier this year on being in the BCS: Trust me there will be an interesting subplot to the renewal of the BCS contract in a couple of years will be if the Rose Bowl decides to opt out of it. I think when the new contract comes up the Rose Bowl will demand that they always get a Pac-10/Big Ten match-up and not be a host to a BCS title game. It could probably be done if they add a 5th bowl to the BCS. I'd nominate the Cotton Bowl since it used to be a big game and has a lot tradition which is it what its all about. I want a Big 10/Pac 10 match up for the Rose Bowl every year reguardless. It's just the conferences knew they'd risking losing that tradition if they joined the BCS. Hopefully they opt out and it goes back the way it used to be.

Jack Black said he'd like to do a remake of King of Comedy with Jim Carrey. Keep in mind this was just Black, and not the studio. Not a bad idea. I'm not a fan of remakes, but this could work if done right.

Oklahoma St. doesn't strike me has a team that would bring alot of fans. The Rose Bowl says they want Big 10-Pac 10. But I don't think they'll be crying if Texas or an SEC team makes. They travel much better than the Pac 10. The Big 10 champion is the one they really want.

Actually the LAPD said that the National Enquirer had some of best reporting in the O.J. Simpson case. Having stories before the LA Times. They can be b.s. rags, but they do have in-roads in the entertainment business. So I wouldn't immediatley dismiss this story has bogus.

San Diego St. is one of the most underachieving programs in college sports. Look where their located, compare that too the other teams in the Mountain West. They dominate that league.

USC can give OU a game. Hell. With a little from mother nature K-State can give OU a game.

No one's getting truly screwed this year or any year. 1 loss teams are at fault for losing not the BCS, so if the BCS puts another 1 loss team in that's tough.

It reads like nothing is set in stone at this point. Troops staying in Iraq after Iraqi's take over their gov't isn't that suprising. They'll need help stablizing the country. Running a democratic country. This will be new ground for most Iraqi's.
