  1. "No Quarter" says hello.
  2. I was just gonna say that I tried listening to "Loveless" over the weekend and I wasn't feeling it. At all. "I Only Said" especially made me want to kill babies or something because they repeat the same lick like forty-seven times. You could hack two minutes off the end of that. Also, the vocals are way too buried in the mix. I don't care for My Bloody Valentine.
  3. I haven't bothered altering the tracklist for anything I've listed, as—like with Amnesiac and Gold—I haven't listened to some of these albums in a very long time. Speaking of which, "Like Spinning Plates" might be a song I like, as couldn't remember whether it was that one or "Life..." I know I hate one of them. Spinning Plates is when he's singing backwards recorded backwards, Life In A Glass House has the brass section.
  4. I like "Pulk/Pull Revolving Doors" though. "Dollars and Cents" and "Hunting Bears" don't do it for me.
  5. I LOVED THE UPRIGHT MAN Two Tuff Toddy is not and has never been two tuff already.
  6. Does RobotJerk ever not oppose the majority on anything?
  7. I'd like to see Corey Patterson hand over the leadoff duties to Jerry Hairston, and concentrate more on hitting for power. Yeah it's all about healthy pitching. I think the Cubs made some changes to their training staff (the old guy wasn't licensed to practice in the state of Illinois or something), so that could be an invisible improvement of sorts. Still, the aces have gotta stay healthy. We're not winning the Central with a Zambrano-Maddux-Rusch-Mitre-??? rotation, that's for sure. I've just gotta trust the moves Hendry and MacPhail made with jettisoning Alou and Sosa. Surely they wouldn't consciously make the team worse.
  8. Nikolai Bonds. Never knew about Barry's Russian heritage.
  9. Roll the dice, take a chance
  10. I'd assume if they did we would have to know by now. You'd think all the dimensions would be marked in stone for the summer this close to Opening Day, and it would be made known to the public that the change was made.
  11. Okay but let's not lose sight of the fact that his ass is probably an anabolic pincushion. But hey, gotta support your brother
  12. What a night of basketball here. Illinois wins a close one in Rosemont, and the Bulls are cleaning up on the Pacers in Chicago. Miller and Carlisle didn't make it out of the half
  13. 1. That list is the drizzling shit 2. Guns n Roses isn't that great 3. Axl Rose is a fuckass
  14. I thought Matt Bullard was a Canadian talk show host.
  15. being exposed as a drug-addled fraud...
  16. Or worse yet, Bob Barron. Oh, I kid because I love. Guys, every time you quote "useless moron Scott Keith," it adds another "useless moron"
  17. Or perhaps it makes him a conservative Democrat. Not every Democrat is a commie, just like how not every Republican is a Bible-thumping Jesus freak... Smitty, what's your opinion of Lloyd Bentsen? Wasn't he sort of a misplaced Republican?
  18. We're only liberal with our TV, music, & movies. Otherwise, we're quite conservative. And not even so much that any more, because it seems like every week there's a new case of someone saying "dammit" in prime time, then you hear that ABC wrote a letter asking the FCC if what they aired was obscenity, and then the FCC tells them "no it wasn't" and ABC says "okay just making sure, guys! (pleasedon'tfineus)" and my God I wish the government would step off the airwaves
  19. Bush turned down an invitation to speak at an NAACP meeting. Bush opposes hate crime legislation. BWA HA HA HA! I am stunned that you're ACTUALLY seriously mentioning either of those. Bush doesn't meet with a corrupt special interest group? Well, damn him. He only has minorities in actual positions of power --- something the "pro-minority" party has never really felt much of a need for. And hate crime legislation? Yes, because if a guy murders you because of your race or sexual orientation, you're just that much more dead. ---------------- Feel free to reference the "anti-intellectualism". And then justify African-American studies. And Women's Studies. And the idiotic Middle Eastern Studies Departments. 1. I agree about hate crime legislation. I've said the same thing about how first-degree murder is first-degree murder and someone said "UM. What about motive, DUMBASS!" yeah 2. Fill me in on what actually goes down in Middle Eastern Studies. I'd have to imagine that there's SOMETHING useful going on, seeing as there's so much historical significance in that region, I'd figure that such a class or department would be chock full of research and important stuff. African-American Studies = basketball major though
  20. veruca salt, letters to cleo, sponge, our lady peace, the nixons, toad the wet sprocket, even spacehog were all better. I was thinking more along the lines of Matchbox 20, Dexter Freebish, Barenaked Ladies, Third Eye Blind, the Goo Goo Dolls, the Gin Blossoms, and Hootie & The Blowfish.
  21. I liked 1890s Raw better
  22. Can't one be educated on the works of Adam Smith rather than Karl Marx, though? I think you can be intelligent and educated and still refrain from lamenting the fall of the Soviet Union as the stereotype so goes.
  23. I hope YOU catch chronic diarrhea and crap yourself to death, CronoT. It'd be a welcome change, as disgusting shit would finally start going out your ass rather than out your fingers like it usually does
  24. Diarrhea, in BBCW's case
  25. They're certainly possible. Shit, I'm less and less eager to say I'm conservative with every passing day of this mess.
