  1. Tell me about the rabbits, Damaramu.
  2. David Bowie...and Tina Turner, so similar, they. ?
  3. I like ESPN's two NBA themes too, but they're not as good!
  4. "The Dazzling Venezuelans" I missed that
  5. I don't have NBATV, so do they still use it?
  6. no, mike, it's like this. Paul Shuey, what is he, like 40? I could hit him. Did you see the game last night? It sucked, didn't it? It sucked!
  7. Not really. I start off all the Smiths compilations I make for people with "This Charming Man."
  8. That's a good'n. Get Lumpy Gravy with that one as well if you don't have it. Weasels Ripped My Flesh continues on some of those themes. Those three, Absolutely Free, Hot Rats, and Freak Out is probably my favorite time period for Zappa. I might get Lumpy Gravy today indeed. I saw it at the record store yesterday. Weasels Ripped My Flesh is in fact great, as is [/i]Hot Rats[/i], but Freak Out! is definitely in contention for Zappa's best album. Great stuff all around. How do you feel about the Flo & Eddie years, Agent? Chunga's Revenge is rather good.
  9. The John Tesh theme music, right?
  10. Nope. I have never been made to read Grapes of Wrath. My junior year? Hmm.....they made me read: Huck Finn, The Great Gatsby, The Crucible, The Scarlet Letter, and Heart of Darkness. Senior year I read: Beowulf, Wuthering Heights(my fav book ever), Lord of the Flies, Crime and Punishment......and I think that was it. Funny b/c my Senior year I was in Advanced Placement English and I think I did less reading than any other year. Huck Finn, Great Gatsby, and Scarlet Letter were among my junior year American lit books as well. Curious that Grapes of Wrath wasn't on yours. I had a Steinbeck hat trick junior year: that one, Of Mice And Men, and East of Eden. He's a good author. I like him.
  11. You're from Oklahoma, you've gone through high school, you're in a journalism program so you should obviously have a deep English background, how can you not remember the family from The Grapes of Wrath? I was under the impression that it's required reading for juniors or seniors in high school, and that Tom Joad and his kin were significant figures in American literature. Never mind.
  12. Au contraire! http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/chc...s_chc&fext=.jsp ugly hat
  13. Deon, STOP posting stock message board pictures.
  14. So let's look at the Cubs Controversy Casualties. Sammy Sosa Moises Alou Kent Mercker Mark Grudzielanek Steve Stone Chip Caray
  15. I got your stupid point, I just had to get the obvious jab in, geez Have you been watching Napoleon Dynamite or something? maybe
  16. "The Division Of People Misled," that's a band name too
  17. I got your stupid point, I just had to get the obvious jab in, geez
  18. So who is the captain of the Cubs now? I'd assume Kerry Wood, if anyone.
  19. Don't shake your fist, that might be a technical foul
  20. So the Cubs now have Aramis Ramirez, Nomar Garciaparra, Todd Walker, and Derrek Lee, with Michael Barrett behind the plate and Jerry Hairston Jr somewhere. But man, it's lonely out there by the ivy.
  21. So you're saying Hairston could never don a Cubs uniform and go down to Tampa? interesting. Some things to address: 1)How much of S"O's"a's salary is Baltimore paying? 2)Whither Magglio Ordonez?
  22. I can't wait to hear this. Well not from Tim Kurkjian. His voice makes me cry.' But the news. I can't wait to hear the news.
  23. Sosa better make sure Sidney Ponson likes the music on his boombox or things could get ugly.
  24. Tomfoolery. Oh my. I must get high with Bill Walton
