  1. Well don't insurance companies charge high premiums to smokers? On commercials they always say "look how low these premiums can be ifyou'reingoodhealthanddonotsmoke!" or something. Some sort of disclaimer. So if you're more expensive for the company to take care of than someone who can do your job without smoking, I can see why the company does what it does.
  2. Roll the dice, take a chance
  3. I'm amused at ONGZ NO THEY DON'T LOVE BRADY
  4. Ahchoo!
  5. Okay am I like the only person that didn't shit his pants in fury and disbelief when HHH was handed the belt? I was just like "okay so they recognize him as champ now since he had the WCW belt last, fine" and didn't think it was a big deal. Maybe they should've had him win it proper against Flair an hour later but it wasn't the worst thing in the world.
  6. You're not the only one. By the way, I also quit around the Invasion and brand extension.
  7. The biggest losses were in the pitching staff. Millwood missed 7 starts, Wolf missed about 10, and Padilla missed about 12. That's almost 30 starts missed from the top of the rotation. 10 of those starts were filled by Paul Abbott (1-6). Take 30 starts away from your 6th and 7th best pitchers and replace them with better starters, and you can see an improvement fairly quickly in your club. If so, Sergio Mitre really hurt the Cubs early on
  8. Harley, dinette set, Harley, dinette set...
  9. I like the dog.
  10. If the Phillies didn't lose Pat Burrell they could've made it a closer race.
  11. Yeah. Never lose sight of the fact that any player can get injured. As for the Cubs pitching staff, I think EVERY player got injured.
  12. Of course. Always the case. I think a big factor will be Atlanta's Bobby Cox and Leo Mazzone. They work miracles. Jack "har har I like cigars" McKeon isn't so much great as he is just plain old.
  13. Well not with an attitude like THAT, mister!
  14. OMG HIS TEMPERTURE WAS AS HOT AS HIS BODY AND HIS GAME!!!! ESPNLOL2005!!!!
  15. at 12-7, I gotta say the Phillie-Killer thing about the Marlins was a tad overhyped. They fared better against the Mets.
  16. That or show the episode of Family Guy where Peter plays poker with Ted
  17. Quoted for future reference. Are you trying to humiliate me? I thought you were a Braves fan, bravesfan.
  18. I've liked CNN more and more lately.
  19. I want Magglio in left for the month that he lasts
  20. I'm not going to watch ESPN until after the Super Bowl.
  21. So the national league is going to adopt the DH by then? Think Mo Vaughn and what he gave the Mets at the end. Mo Vaughn gives anything? He seems like he just takes and takes and takes. Yep, it must be October again
  22. Yeah good point both times treble I think a lot of NL teams are looking much better than 2004, and it's gonna be competitive across the board, no doubt. But no, Delgado is not going to make the Marlins this unstoppable force. Al Leiter isn't getting any younger and if any one or two of Willis, Burnett, and Beckett go down, they're sunk. Nobody looks like they're going to win ANY division by 10 games right now. I think the Cubs look the best in the Central, but they're not gonna walk all over everyone like the Cardinals did. the California teams will be close, and it's a good 3-or-4 way race in the East.
  23. Don't worry, mocking Moises Alou is fair game. Yeah Loria is a jerk. Would "The Braves have amazing pitching, the Mets are improving, and the Phillies can never be counted out" be a sufficient reason for me to not hand the Marlins the NL East on a freaking platter? Shit.
  24. No seriously--the Marlins won't win the East
  25. I totally agree Frigid. Forgot to mention that, although that is an incredibly lame nickname. The Braves improved, Bob? Dan Kolb for Jose Capellan is a downgrade, in my opinion. They lost JD Drew, who was a key ingredient in last year's team. The only significant upgrade is adding Hudson, I admit that. There's no guarantee that John Smoltz still has what it takes to be a starter. I'm not dismissing the Braves, but I strongly believe the Marlins are the team to beat. Or maybe it's the Phillies, they did have a busy offseason! You sure are cocky for someone whose team will finish in fourth.
