  1. The real reason the ratings went up... Stevie Richards in the Main Event!

    Watchmen

Jones' run on "Incredible Hulk" was terrible. Lots of rambling on and confusing character changes.
  3. Maybe it's a "make good" project after the whole Captain Marvel/U Decide thing... Hopefully. Marville was propably the worst comic I ever read.
  4. I think he has photos of Quesada & Jemas......performing certain acts together. That said, this does sound like an interesting concept. Jemas is out of his position, but still in the company. A much less prominent position though. Maybe he has the missing scripts for that Kevin Smith project that has been put on indefinite hiatus?
  5. Kane's big question is which came first, the chicken or the egg.
  6. Worst twist of fate ever. Lita's taste in clothes gets worse every week.
  7. Since this is my fantasy promotion, I'm running it the way I think it should be. Part of that would be many special news updates on the CWF web page, giving announcements and such. CWF.com News Update • CWF wrestler John Cena has decided not to sign a new contract. He has decidede to explore interests outside of pro wrestling, specifically acting and music. Both parties were mutually satisfied with the decision. Cena would like to thank the fans for their support and CWF for the opportunities they presented him. CWF wishes him the best of luck in the future. • It is now official that at CWF Canadian Stampede, Eddie Guerrero wil defend his newly one United States championship in a rematch against DDP.
  8. Out of all the people who have been let go and asked about the lack of writer idea's, Kanyon answered the best. I don't think the writers are under contract, so you'd think they'd be more willing to shake up the writing team.
  9. This is so 1992ish. Why don't they just repackage Albert as the Shockmaster?
  10. who was given a title by Lance Storm, just like CARL OULETTE
  11. I remember that. Other than that, I don't ever remember Sabu saying anything.

    Watchmen

That's the same way I read it. Usually I'll stop reading a trade around an actual issue break, but Watchmen warranted one sitting. I do think part of it was all the hype/praise I heard before I got to reading it, but it was a story worthy of killing an afternoon over.
  13. Thanks for the vote of confidence. Good choice...
  14. Crazy Nights, Hot In The Shade and Revenge are all very good albums. I'm also a huge fan of Asylum (many fans I know aren't), as "Who Wants To Be Lonely" and "Tears Are Falling" are two of my all time favorite KISS songs. The only non make up album I really liked was Revenge. It's a shame that it got released once grunge/alternative became the rage.
  15. Thanks fuckrat, I just spat lemonade all over my computer screen reading that. That has to be the greatest thing I've heard in the WWE folder in months!
  16. Sitting on the bench as much as Fox has, I don't see him "owning" anyone.
  17. who tagged with JOHNNY KASHMERE
  18. Would you really like one

    Watchmen

I loved Watchmen. It was just awesome. I do believe that it definitely warrants a few rereads, as there are many subtle things that you may not pick up on the first reading.
  20. I'm wondering what it took David to convince Marvel to do this project.
  21. To me, the whole thing wreaks of suckiness. I'm going to stop bitching until I find out exactly what they are planning on doing.
  22. Hope you liked WM. I'm still trying to figure out the style that I will use to do the shows. THis is going to be a little more straight foward recapping/script style. CWF Weekly TV: Week 1 0f 4 before Canadian Stampede PPV live from Sacramento, CA your hosts are Joey Styles and Bobby Heenan OPENING PROMO: Chris Jericho is in the ring. He talks about how last night he destroyed a legend in the CWF. As Flair and HHH get in the limo, Orton wishes them good luck and hopes they get him. TAG TEAM MATCH: JEFF HARDY AND TOMMY DREAMER VS. DEAN MALENKO AND LANCE STORM THE MATCH: Styles shills the CWF web site's exclusive video coverage of WM. Basically, Malenko was super pissed that Hardy eliminated him in the Cruiser 6-man and attacked him in the back. Match is pretty much a style clash. Dreamer and Storm go to the outside. Malenko and Hardy are your legal men. Hardy hits a jawbreaker, and goes to the top rope for the Swanton. Storm runs back in the ring, AND DROP KICKS HARDY OFF THE TOP ROPE~!!!!! OMG~!!!!! Total spot of the night. Malenko gets up, and Hardy taps out to the Texas Clover leaf. WINNERS: Malenko and Storm BACKSTAGE PROMO: Sting is just getting into the locker room and starts congratulating DDP for winning last night. Kanyon is there as well. He runs into Lance Storm and they stare at each other. Credible tries to speak, and Lance cuts him off. Lance reminds him of where the both of them started--in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. 23. from newsarama.com PETER DAVID GETS HIS (MULTIPLE) MEN This weekend's Motor City Con provided one answer for those wondering what Peter David’s future holds. According to the writer, one of his upcoming Marvel projects will star Jamie Madrox, aka, the Multiple Man. In regard to David’s comments that the character was a mutant whith whom he’d had some familiarity, Madrox was a member of X-Factor while David was writing the book, circa 1991-1993. For those not familiar with the character, the name is the power. Madrox can create duplicates of himself when struck, turning him into a functioning one-man army. Having first appeared in Giant-Sized Fantastic Four #4, the character remained in the periphery of the X-Universe for years, and was a research assistant for Dr. Moria McTaggart, Professor X’s colleague in Scotland. The character moved to the X-Factor team when David took over the series, and David’s characterization of Madrox was fairly straightforward (well, as straightforward as a multiple man can be) during his tenure on X-Factor. However, after David’s departure from the series, things weren’t so pretty…or straightforward. The Legacy Virus, death of the “prime” Madrox and survival of a duplicate, the X-Corps, covert ops with Forge, and action on Genosha followed…and saying that the character could do with some streamlining is an understatement. According to David, speaking at a panel at noon on Saturday, the project will be a five-issue miniseries called Madrox, which will also include Strong Guy (Again, from David’s X-Factor tenure), and Rahne Sinclair (Wolfsbane from X-Force, New Mutants (old and new) as supporting characters. David described the feel of the series as being along the lines of a crime noir detective story in the ghettos of Mutant Town. If the five issue mini does well, David plans to lobby for an ongoing Madrox series. The artist on the series will be Pablo Raimond -------------- It seems like it could be interesting, but they'd be insane to do a regular series. I 'm more interested in the fact that Strong Guy is going to be in this!
  24. Kiss took music merchandising to new heights. All acts since can't even touch them in that area.
  25. Because my parents always belittled me for watching wrestling, they would be mean and tell me its fake and stupid since I started regularly watching it in 91. I personally started realizing it was fake when I'd see people getting gimmick/character changes. In 1996 or 1997, I went online the first time ever, read my first dirtsheet, realized what those mini shoot comments in ECW were and never looked back.
