"The Incredible Threadable Egg" has been a rousing success. Sadly, "The Hunt For Thread October" can never be. It's harder than I thought it would be to search for threads started in specific months.

How do you take your eggs? At restaraunts, I usually get them sunny-side up. At home, I usually scramble them. On special occassions, I'll boil a handful of eggs and then struggle peeling them for half an hour. It's worth it. Eggs rock.

Things have been a little slow around here lately, so I've been working on some thread ideas to spice things up a little. Okay, check this one out: A thread dedicated to the best ever TSM threads from the month of October. I'd call it "The Hunt for Thread October." We could list our favorites, discuss various long-forgotten posters, and so on. Then we could come up with puns for other months and that's like 12 new threads right there. What do you think?

I've risen to the lofty rank of 88th place in PFT's pick-em game, with a respectable record of 115-57. Potential prizes bring potential questions: Which Fathead should I go with? Who wants to attend the Super Bowl with me? Would anyone be willing to read and then summarize Jerome Bettis's book for me?

Members of the fraternity of former University of Miami players cast a wide net across our society. There was one very bad call, with the defensive holding at the end of the game. The Gaffney catch is debatable, but my feeling is that he had possession of the ball in-bounds, and the slight bobble didn't constitute lack of possession. I'm blanking on the name of Baltimore's second CB, but he claims he was verbally berated by one of the refs for much of the game...says he called him "boy," even.

Now that the college regular season is over and with the Bucs basically securing their division last week, my football focus is on two things only: Tampa Bay winning and New England losing. Pittsburgh seems like the perfect matchup to exploit all of New England's weaknesses. I just have this gut feeling that this is the week that someone's finally going to break Tom Brady's leg.

Is there a "Fire Kornheiser" petition out there anywhere? This guy is just the worst color commentator on any football broadcast anywhere. Worse than any of the meathead former linemen, even.

Count me in with the group that says that the Pats are going to be in for a Mike Vick-style dogfight every game for the rest of the season. Teams are not oblivious to media coverage and they've heard all of the talk about New England going undefeated, being the best team ever, etc. So they're all going to prepare for them like it's the Super Bowl. A team like Baltimore is going to go all out, because this is as close to a big game as they're going to get for the rest of the season. They're not good enough offensively to hang with New England, but I don't envision a 52-10 slaughter or anything.
