Well, if you really break it down, and I've thought about this probably more than I should, there are really only 3 or 4 basice horror archetypes. Name original horror movies from any period. They all basically fit into a few categories. There's still plenty of good stuff, I think. What we haven't had in a while, is a true, iconic horror classic. You can see some of the shifts in the industry happening now. They're starting to move away from trying to be cool, which is good. The horror genre was never really bad, but it's going to get better soon.
