I've never encountered a suitable definition of black metal. Black metal is like pop, in that I know it when I hear it, but it's too loose to define it. Did Venom invent the term, anyway? Also, you know who was good? Exodus.

The book and the manga are better than the movie (and I usually hate manga), but the movie's ok in kind of a Troma meets Rocky Horror sort of way.

That reminds me of a funny anecdote. When I briefly worked in a sporting goods store, they had a basketball hoop in a box which had been there god knows how long, but the thing looked like it was from the 50s. It had some old ass drawing of these Chip and Biff looking crewcut motherfuckers on there in their short shorts, doing those 50s sky hooks. The thing was manufactued by "Harvard Sports, Compton, CA". I should have bought it and passed it on to my children.

I'm starting to like Emma Bunton's solo albums more than I used to. I generally considered them high average, but after repeated listenings in the right mood, they're getting better. Also, I like the way she looks these days. She always looked kind of retro, physically, but now she's played it up, and comes off very early 70s. Better than her Spice days. I never much cared for Tool.

I don't find Lucky Strikes cool at all, they look country to me. But as X isn't white, he may be alright with them. I looked for those Black Deaths once and didn't find them. I don't play around much with cigarettes though, I smoke Marlboros and like it.

I recently traded in my old copy of Crunk Juice for the one with the bonus remixes. The remix of "Let's Go" was garbage, as that is one of my favorite songs ever, and they totally did it no justice. I can't really tell if the remix utilized the Halloween theme or if it was just similar, but the first time I heard it I thought I was about to have an orgasm as taking one of my favorite songs ever and putting it over the Halloween theme is just insane on the level of a peanut butter truck crashing into a chocolate truck, but it just didn't work out for some reason. Sad. The remix of "What You Gon' Do" with Elephant Man was really good though, and made me think Elephant Man was ok. I had previously found him a little irritating. Bringing in Bad Brains on "Roll Call" was good as well. I also like the remix of "Lean Back" about a million times better than the original. Eminem and Lil Jon together is fucking cool.

What a bunch of bullshit. The best special effect was the dude getting hit by the truck in Bride of Chucky.
