I went to Gamestop today with some friends so they could get Gears of War, and while I wandered around looking for DS games, I saw an open box on the floor. Inside it? Three perfectly white boxes with the Wii logo and system pictures. I had a plan to steal at least one, but apparently people are sensitive about pushing over a guy in a wheelchair. Hey, it's called "sleight of hand". Anyways, I'm thinking about trying to get a Wii on release just to see if I can get lucky. If not, I'll get one after Christmas or whenever available. But I do have a question. Question: I've never owned a system (other than the DS) that's capable of going online. In my dorm room, I have Ethernet and a phone extension that can be used to connect. Is there any way to get the Wii online without a wireless router? PS I am perfectly retarded when it comes to computers, so if the answer is obvious, my bad.

Go in to this one completely unprepared and get ready to laugh for pretty much 96% of the movie. I'll also try to answer any other questions anyone has, so yeah.

Ah yes, this was 1995 since that's when I got cable. Definitely on WCW Pro. DDP did a weekly arm wrestling challenge. If anyone could beat him, he could have a date w/ Kimberly and I think a trophy. 90% of the challengers were jobbers that DDP easily disposed of. Van Hammer came out one week and DDP feigned an injury and left. Several weeks later, Hammer comes out again . . . but this time blocks the entrance w/ the guardrail . . . although he never did lock it, so in theory, DDP could have easily moved the rail back and left again, but it was a Sat morning show so they hooked horns. I believe Max kicked Hammer's leg to cause him to lose. The angle came to a head at GAB95 when Dave Sullivan beat DDP. Weeks before on Pro, DDP asked Dave where he'd take Kimberly if they went out on a date which inspired Dusty on commentary to bellow out "Take her honky tonkin!" And, of course, DDP got his revenge by cooking Evad's pet rabbit and serving it to him and Kim. Beat the Bossman angle by years.

Yeah, I saw it back in July and thought about bumping this, but I could give a damn either way. My favorite part was seeing me get up to go to the meeting and then CUT TO: a completely new group of people. I agree with NYankees. You shoulda been at the real thing, my friend. It was even worse.

Then don't go see it. I have never seen Anger Management, but now that you mention it, the plots are kinda similar.

In case anyone doesn't know, this is a movie from Todd Phillips (Old School) starring Billy Bob Thornton and Jon Heder. I don't know if you guys were expecting much from this. I wasn't. Yet I was still disappointed. I'll go with a short, spoiler-free review and then put spoilers below. Basically, if you've seen the preview, you know the deal. Jon Heder, in a role he's certainly not accustomed to, plays a loser who enrolls in some kind of weird, underground self-help class taught by Billy Bob and Michael Clark Duncan. He goes after a girl in his building, only to find that his teacher is going after her to teach him his final lesson. It's pretty formulatic, and maybe it's because I really don't like Jon Heder in anything, but the movie got maybe two laughs out of me. Billy Bob Thornton is misused. We were rooting for him because Jon Heder is just a black hole here. No sympathy, and it's just hard to root against Billy Bob Thornton, especially considering the opposition. This is one of those movies where if you see the trailer, you can skip the whole movie. If this hadn't been free, we would have probably walked out. Oh, just in case you're wondering, we got our tickets to the screening from our friend that edits the entertainment section of the school's paper. Spoilers Follow To sum it up, I'll be honest. I've got different tastes in comparison to a lot of people, and some of the people there were laughing a lot. So if you think it looks good, check it out. But if you were like me and didn't think the previews looked that great, then save your money.

I am screaming already. Seriously, I kinda agree that there's an audience for this film, but it's not going to be huge.

I saw an ad for the new NOES DVD in the upcoming releases catalogue we got at the Blockbuster I worked at over the summer. The only listed extras were those that were on the original DVD, so I'm thinking they got some of the stuff off the original laser disc and added a new retrospective or something.

I don't understand what any of this means. I think you just might be taking this discussion a bit too personal, WP. And I always thought Rocky V bombed because it was perceived by the public as a bad movie, being the fifth Rocky movie and all. One thing's for sure, we can all agree that Rocky VII: Adrian's Revenge is going to kick ass, though.

I can't pimp Electroplankton enough, especially since it's getting re-released. Just a simple time killer for the DS. Some nights it's relaxing enough to put me to sleep.

I'm thinking Nintendo continues to copy Apple's marketing and goes for a surprise worldwide launch after Spaceworld next month. The tech is just updated Gamecube graphics, it doesn't need much more refining or work. The controller is operational. The only thing I'm unsure about is the Virtual Console, since Nintendo's never done anything like it. The other day, IGN had an article about Nintendo debuting some new games at another convention and said one would be particular pleasing for fans. Any speculation?

I really got into baseball games last year when a friend of mine had MVP 2005 AND ESPN 2K5 for his XBox. That's all we did the whole summer, and it really helped get me into baseball as a whole, when in the past, I had been barely-remotely interested. The same guy bought an XBox 360 just for 2K6, and I finally played it when I was visiting him at college a few weeks ago. [OPINION]That game is utter ass and the whole team needs to have fastballs lobbed at them like Barry Bonds in Turner Field on Hank Aaron Day. The whole swing stick thing, I mean, if I had the time, I could have learned it, but why would I? Since then, I've played two games of The Show and it smokes 2K6 in every category.[/OPINION]
