    NOES re-make casting updates

...the remake just got somewhat interesting. And seeing as how Englund is flat-out saying he approves of Thornton, no fan can really be mad. Here's to hoping they do the Carpenter route of remakes, and somehow make it creepier and gorier than the original.

Regarding holding doors, at least nod your fucking head if I hold the door for you. I'll do it anyway, but the fact that even the mentally/physically handicapped (who, in my eyes, are the only ones with a fucking right to not be polite about the ordeal) oftentimes say thank you, but the 20-year-old prissy cunt who's entering the mall behind me won't? That's fucked up. And they'd give you an attitude if you just let the door fly shut onto them, which is the complete hypocrisy of it all: they won't thank you for being polite to them, but they'll chastise you even if you just didn't see them. ...FUCK SALT!

    1. Milkhawk, you should check out Arnocorps. There a similar band, but they're dedicated 100% entirely to Schwarzenegger flicks. "Predator" was on the latest Fear Candy disc (which comes with Terrorizer), and it's not bad. More along the lines of Motörhead than Slayer, IIRC. The singer even dresses like Ahnuld from T2 with the battle damage in the plant. 2. January 18th...I'm taking the next day off of work. I'll sit through Machine Head, I don't fucking care.

Yay. You may find some 300-pound bleached-blonde piece of trailer trash who will suck your dick for meth. ...or you could just go to Wal-Mart and find the same thing.

    METALLICA

Listen the drum beat when it's by itself. Anthrax. "I'm the Man." That made me laugh. Eh, not bad. I like that they're using the palm muted down picking on an open string again (which, IIRC, has been lacking since right around Load), and the structure is interesting with a couple of good riffs. I can't wait to hear the album version, when it'll be a bit clearer.

Good pick. It always got me just how hot the chick with the shaved head is, and how basically unattractive Zellwegger is, even though she's supposed to be the sexpot slut of the group. And the poster is odd...no Joe, no Warren, but a dog that barely (if ever) is shown on-screen?

Ha! If you take advantage of the linked vid feature at the end of Patton's little rant (first vid), one of the headers is "JEALOUS PRICK DISRESPECT WOLFMOTHER." Jealous of...what? Of ripping off the Black Sabbath/Led Zeppelin sound, and making it sound worse now that it's been over 30 years? Of being involved with some of the more critically acclaimed projects of the last 15 years?

    Best Endings To Pay-Per-Views

I gotta second Heat Wave '98. When I think of amazing endings to a show, that's always the first one that comes to mind. Also: -Age of the Fall viciously destroying the Briscoes from RoH Man Up. Made all the better by the blood dripping from Jay (IIRC) onto Jacobs. -Heyman making a run for it to count the pinfall after RVD hit the 5-Star on Cena from ONS '06, and the subsequent emptying of the "ECW" locker room. -Guerrero/Benoit. -Raven debuting in TNA, stealing the NWA title from Jeff Jarrett after nailing him with a DDT, and then doing the crucifix pose on the ramp as a sign that reads "McMAHON FEARS RAVEN" in full view.

    Many guys released

Getting rid of Nick Patrick baffles me more than any of the others, if only because he's been in the business for so long, and is the closest thing WWE had to a "senior referee" since firing Hebner.

    Your favorite near fall spots/moves

The last few minutes of any of the Briscoes/Steenerico series. I love those matches more than I probably should.

Things that Amuse or Please You

I swear I saw a CL ad that was taken in my office's men's room. That made me happy, because there's only two other guys I work with, and neither of them use the bathroom that much, unlike the prez's son...

    The Concert Thread

So my band played a show this past Saturday and got FUCKED by the guy putting it on. The first band, Joint Damage (rapcore, more like when Anthrax and Public Enemy did "Bring The Noise" than, say, E-Town Concrete), got 45 minutes, and took full advantage of it. They also brought the biggest (and drunkest) crowd. We were on second. It took us 10 minutes to set up. We owned the show for the 20-25 minutes we played. Right before our fifth tune, "E.K.F.O.," the guy doing sound (who's a friend of my band's singer) was told to tell us that it was our last song. We blast it out, the promoter comes over to tell us we took too long setting up (it took 10 minutes, whereas every other band took at least 20), and to get the fuck off the stage. We had to practically hold our drummer back from throwing his entire kit at this guy (who is a fucking douche). Needless to say, we're never playing a gig this guy sets up again. Third band, Escape 2 Everything, are utter shit. Think Breaking Benjamin...and remove any semblance of talent. Yeah. Horrible, atrocious shit. They get...**drum roll**...CLOSE TO A FUCKING HOUR!!! 3 people showed up to see them. Everybody else was for us and Joint Damage (JD brought about 20 people, and we brought a dozen or so). Any word on their set taking too long? Nope. And they didn't even have the common courtesy to check out the other bands on the bill: they were all in their practice space before somebody had to find them to get them to set up. Crimson Bile closes, puts on a decent show. Similar to Joint Damage, but more like 311. They get...CLOSE TO A FUCKING HOUR!!! Yeah, they headlined, but to cut our set short when we were told we'd get 45 minutes, and not even tell us before we play? Completely fucking lame. So yeah...small rant. Playing KC's in Pawtucket again next weekend, looks to be a decent show.

    Desert Island Draft: Movie Edition

I think I have 2...? If not, then I'm calling my next round now, too. Phantasm II - Don Coscarelli (1988) The movie that got me interested in horror. It doesn't hold up too well now, but hot DAMN is the theme song amazing. Ginger Snaps - John Fawcett (2000) A cult favorite, and what made me look for modern indie horror. Plus, it has Katherine Isabelle...ohhhhh maaaaan...

    Rated PG Superstar?

If you're talking about the Nathan Tate (IIRC, that was his name) case, where a 12-year-old killed an 8-year-old (or younger, I can't remember) with "WWF wrestling moves" such as STOMPING, SLAMMING, AND THROWING HER DOWN THE FUCKING STAIRS (you things, people can do without ever having watched wrestling), then the outcome was the jury not believing the defense's strategy at all and convicting the bastard.

But Terrorizer also does the "Unsigned Bands" edition of Fear Candy, which has featured a couple of bands who ended up GETTING signed because of the hype via Terrorizer (namely Evile). Hahaha...true black metal indeed...

    Desert Island Draft: Movie Edition

Beyond The Mat - Blaustein (1999) This, Wrestling With Shadows, and the Rise & Fall of ECW are the three best wrestling documentaries made to date. Proof? This opened the floodgates to fans wanting to delve into the real lives of their on-screen icons. It opened the eyes of non-fans to just what being a pro wrestler is: the pain, the isolation, and the triumph. I have an alternate pick if I skipped over somebody else who took this, but I don't think anybody else has.

Yeah, it's by Kerrang. They fucking suck. Now, if Terrorizer put it out, it'd be worth listening to. I can just imagine them getting Turisas to play "Run to the Hills," or maybe Evile to cover some of the Di'ano (I never spell his name right) stuff.

Cats. It doesn't matter where I am, or in how bad a mood I'm in, if a kitty passes me by? I'm instantly happy.
