  1. Actually I was going to say it was due to my charm and proper social graces. Plus I take it up the BUTT...
  2. I'm not sure. I think so. Problem is not that much snow has fallen, it's just the roads aren't treated and people can't drive. My morning commute wasn't bad, but I get in at 6:30. I can't wait to leave this afternoon -- I'm guessing my commute home will be 2+ hours...
  3. It's not really graphics work, and you know the real reason why I have a "graphics" job and you don't...
  4. Bite me, hippie. I'm a little brainwashed Bush Administration supporting fuck, and I don't support the ban...
  5. Do you really need someone to answer that question. You still don't get a day off work though (you still at HP?)...
  6. And enviro-weenies shouldn't use computers because of all the electricity it wastes...
  7. Yeah, it's set up with the Ethernet and router and stuff, but for some reason it stopped working (at least on my end). And this is for the office, not home. I'm just connecting two computers...
  8. I have to reach across the aisle and join Tyler in bipartisan support regarding the "banning" or whatever happened to Frigid. I've read worse at this place, most of it coming from my keyboard. Perhaps with this new alliance between me and Tyler this could be the start of a beautiful, thoughtful relationship where issues will be discussed and opinions will be respected. Or maybe not. And regarding ol' Mikey, there's really nothing more I can add that hasn't been said already -- you guys make me so proud *sheds tear.* However, since it's my Mikey jokes that put butts in the seats, I'll do my best: Mikey wants to "boycott" the Inaugration, or whatever it is he wants to do (I didn't bother clicking on the link), because Dole fruits, Dannon yogurt and Del Monte veggies were the event's primary sponsors...
  9. Trust me, the white trash that arrived late, after buying orchestra-level seats, would not have the scrilla to pay off the ushers, who were all 80+ year-old ladies. I also think the trash were throwing a temper tantrum because I heard some yelling outside the doors when the show was 15 minutes in -- guess they thought there would be previews. That was the last time I go to an afternoon show. The evenings shows I've been to don't have this problem, or at least it seems that way. Damn under-class...
  10. Because I know you were all on the edge of your seat over this... I finally got a G5 with 60 gb space, a 1.8 processor thingy and 256 things of RAM (I think -- I'd have to double check the box it came in). Of course, I can't really play with it until the current publication I'm working on gets done. The computer I'm currently using is a piece of crap that's seven years old. God I can't wait, although here's another question: I will have to network my Mac with another. Any advice on this since I have no clue as to what I'll be doing?...
  11. You're saying that like it's a bad thing...
  12. Oh I hate that. A few days ago I had to deal with someone reading labels to a person over the phone. Although, I must admit, a short while ago I was in this store and had to call the better half in regards to what time I was going to pick her up. I pulled out the phone and thought "OMG, I'm one of those people." I then went outside and made my call...
  13. I can understand having a cell phone instead of a home phone -- my one friend does that and it's cheaper for him than getting a land-line. I heard that it's still up in the air, and I recently read that Verizon said they won't give their customer's numbers out. Good God will that get annoying if you're driving somewhere and almost wreck because some douche wants to sell you magazines...
  14. Well the better half's birthday is on the day MLK was born (1/15), and mine is on the day he died (4/4). Go figure that one out...
  15. Wonder if then we'll finally see the pics of him getting freaky with anyone not called his wife...
  16. But is it a running gag when nobody else cares about it? And running gags are lame -- Taking something someone said/did and running it into the ground until it is nothing more than a shell of its former self, annoying everyone and anyone who has the unfortunate luck of reading it. I never saw running gags as funny ever ... ever... (And change your sig, hippie...)
  17. Actually, if you want an interesting semi-contemporary account of one of the smaller French revolutions, you could do a lot worse than Victor Hugo's original novel. But get the uncut version, as all the abridged ones tend to just focus on the plot and cut out all his social commentary. Huh? I just went because that's what the better half wanted for her b-day. She bitched at me a while back because she didn't understand why I didn't know she wanted to go see this. Her strategy of having me notice what she wanted to do for her b-day was to put the newspaper ad for this performance out on the dining room table. Of course, the table is covered with other letters/papers/etc. of her shit so of course I didn't notice. Even if that ad was the only thing on the table I wouldn't have known, so c'est la vie. Oh yeah, fuck France, and fuck people who arrive late to these artsy events. I thought once the doors closed that was it -- guess I was wrong...
  18. Make sure to take pictures so we can share a laugh at D.C.'s finest beating you down with clubs...
  19. For the record, I like Dames, even though we rarely, if ever, talk at this place, and as long as he pays the bills he can do whatever he wants. *rubs face* Bob, did I get all that shit off my nose?...
  20. Well, put the discussion back on track, hippie...
  21. We may come from different folders, but we're all from the same TSM community in times of strife. And to boost Crono's self-esteem I have a few legit questions about his first post: Did the SUV driver fess up to the accident or drive off? Also, was there anyone in danger of getting run over?...
  22. Cell phones make me feel my age. For the longest time I never had one. About 5 years ago I was driving somewhere and used the better half's phone -- It took me 5 minutes to dial the number and I wondered how people could handle driving and using a cell phone at the same time. I got a pre-paid phone a year ago and it's good for what it is -- $20 to "top-off" every three months is much better than some hippie calling plan. I don't use it that often, and there are all these features on it I don't know how to access, nor do I really care...
  23. Ugh. That sig isn't too good. At least BigJigg's "Re-Defeat Bush in '04" avatar was funny...
  24. You could always read a book or volunteer at a nearby soup kitchen. *runs...*
  25. Didn't realize it was on. I pay attention to the women's division, and only then I'm watching hoping for a camel toe shot or something...
