My opinion is that they can understand you yelling back at them, thus being told to shut up. Years back when the better half and I were babysitting her niece and nephew, her niece wouldn't shut the fuck up -- she was a few months old and had a loud mouth. Everytime she started screaming, I'd just go "WAAAAAAAAH!" back at her and she usually screamed a little bit louder then tired herself out...

I love this -- no matter how much name-calling people do to each other (especially in CE), the video games folder can bring any two posters together...

I'm probably the last person in the world to give parenting advice but whenever I was in charge of babysitting and a brat was screaming, I just screamed back. Worked out pretty well, too...

Goddamn hippie. I had a friend that had something wrong with him -- we just thought he was dumb. Anyway, whenever it was time to take a test he'd get to go to some room for kids like him and basically get to look up answers in text books. It was called the "resource room," but we always dubbed it the "retard room." Also, when I worked at this one arcade, this mallrat caused a scene and I kicked him out. His mom came in and said he had ADD. I said I don't C-A-R-E and he was banished for a month. Happy now?...

OK 1) I saw that preview on FX, too. I was laughing so hard at how awful it was. Some killer can go on a rampage and slaughter 20 people, BUT DON'T KILL THE FAMILY DOG OR MOVIE-GOERS WILL BE PISSED. 3) Where was that Ebert "I hated this movie" quote from? It sounds familar. 4) I have determined that the President in ID4 was a Republican. a) Elenaor Clift was ragging on him at the start of the movie, b) the black lady told the first lady that she "voted for the other guy." Black women with kids OVERWHELMINGLY vote Democrat. So not all Republicans in the movies are bad -- some just allow millions to be killed by not evacuating the cities earlier and launch nukes...

Nah, these places of worship took place in Israel. But what happened in Turkey was VERY insensitive, too...
