Well somebody wasn't paying attention to our Wednesday meeting. Talk to Rant about this -- he's the chairman of our "Supressing the Black Post" committee...

Well I never saw Ripper as a black TSM poster ever ... ever...

You know, I used to like Smith, but over the past year or so he's been getting on my nerves. Oddly enough, my opinion of him really changed during the whole Rush resigns from ESPN fiasco. He was on O'Reilly's show talking about this and made sense, but then I read his column on the matter the next day and it was almost a complete contradiction of what he said the night before. I think a more important part of my feelings toward him now is that I wasn't exposed to him as much back in the day...

I doubt he will... -
Basically, the "ever ... ever" is making fun of Berman, who said "I never saw McNabb as a black quarterback ever ... ever." Whenever I or someone else (usually MikeSC) says this line, it is usually followed by "I was just asked by *insert name of group* if it would be OK for them to *insert what this group wants to do,*" which is making fun of Tom Jackson's "I was asked by little black kids if it was OK for them to be quarterbacks." This thread here is pretty much where all this started...

nl5xsk1 -- weird. I copied and pasted your name. I know I butchered Tyler's but I don't care. I'll be giving out my address to those not Pay-Pal-ing via PM. I am already expecting the little packages with white powder... -
Ha. Not sure if I believe this or not, but it's damn funny. I wonder why no games are being sold...

I hate theaters. Well, not the theater, but rather the people around me in the theater. I'm content with watching movies at home -- it'll be even better when I get a big-screen TV...

I never really cared for the Gumpster. And I say Pulp Fiction, although Shawshank is making me second-guess my decision quite a bit...

Good grief. Back in my day I LOVED playing High Impact Football in the arcade -- guess I have to now go out and rape some women and beat up some kids. I'm not buying my nice and nephew sports games -- I'll buy them some Medal of Honor titles instead...

My football pick 'em contest is returning for a second season, and this time there are some changes. Now for those that don't know what I'm talking about, here is a basic synopsis of how my league works: * 32 TSM'ers pick their own NFL team to represent and are placed in their respective divisions. * Each week during the NFL season every person submits their weekly picks as to which teams will win for that week. You make picks for all the games for that week. If your claimed team has a bye week, then you don't submit picks. * Your picks are matched up against the picks of the person your team is matched up against. Whoever has the most correct picks wins the matchup. (For example: In Week 1, Cincinnati plays the NY Jets. TSM poster Swift Terror has claimed the Bengals and TSM poster Gert T has claimed the Jets, so for Week 1 their picks go head to head. Swift Terror correctly picks the winners of 8 games and Gert T correctly picks 10 winners. Gert T wins the matchup to go 1-0 in the regular season. Swift Terror loses and goes 0-1.) * The rules will be just like the NFL -- Only division winners and two wild card teams from each conference will get to make the post-season, etc. * Not only will you submit your picks, but also, as a tie-breaker, you will predict how many points your team will score that week. If you and your opponent picked the same amount of games correctly for one week, the person who more accurately predicted how many points their team would score for that week wins the matchup. If both TSMers are tied after this, then the matchup is a tie. (For example: In Week 1, Arizona and St. Louis play each other. That means Vern Gagne and cerebus are matched up against one another. Both TSM'ers correctly picked 9 winners, so they are tied. Now it's time to go to the tie-breaker. Vern predicted the Cardinals would score 10 points and cerebus predicted the Rams would score 20 points. The actual score of the game was AZ 13, STL 26. Therefore, Vern wins the matchup because he had the more accurate tie-breaker: 3 points to cereb's 6.) Here is a link as to how this contest was generally handled last season. OK, now I have decided on some changes to this season. 1) Here's the big one: If you wish to claim a team you need to submit a $5 entry fee. With 32 teams, this amount adds up to $160. If you make the playoffs or lead your conference in one of several statistical categories you will get $5 back. With 12 postseason teams and 6 statistical categories (Each conference will have: most correct picks made in a season, lowest cumulative tie-breaker score, and highest number of correct picks made against a player during the course of a season), this will take up $90 of the $160 pot. The remaining $70 will go to this season's league champion. I will not make a dime off this contest, and since money will be involved I will not claim a team this year. I will be opening a Pay Pal account, but there will be other alternatives of payment as well. In addition, if there are any fees/charges that have to be paid (postage stamp for mailing an entry fee, Pal Pal service fee, etc.), this needs to be treated as an added cost not part of the $5 entry fee. 2) Instead of picking the outright winners of each NFL game, I will now be including a point spread with each NFL game. The reason I'm switching to this method is that one problem last season was too many matchups between TSMers contained picks that were identical except for a game or two. I'm hoping giving under-powered teams a few extra points might encourage some TSMers to pick them instead of going with a favored team. 3) The end-of-season tiebreakers will be the same as the NFL's (division record, conference record, etc.). Last season it was different. Now, I have already contacted TSM players that participated last year, plus a few others, just to see if I would have enough interest for my changes, and 3/4 of the slots have been filled, for the time being, which is more than I thought there would be. If anyone is interested in taking a team, claim it in this thread -- Don't worry about the money for now. If someone is on this list and wants off, let me know via PM. In addition I would be happy to answer any questions you may have via PM, too. I hope to have all the teams claimed by the end of June. Below is how the league is looking right now. I will update it as teams are claimed or if some TSM'ers decide to back out of the contest. Once again, don't worry about money right now. I want to make sure I have enough players before handling other people's cash... What I hated about that show was I would always miss the last few episodes and never saw how it ended, although I eventually did. There was another show that was like that -- I think it was called Spartacas or something... -
Ha -- I saw the preview for that segment but I had to leave and missed it. Were there any "ESPN" video games featured? And we've had this debate for YEARS now -- I remember people raising a stink over NHL 93 because in some fights the guy that lost fell onto the ice with blood spurting out. I never saw sports video games as violent ever ... ever...

I don't wonder. I pretty much know why those SUB-HUMAN MONKEYS strap boom-booms to them. OK, the Wednesday meeting of TSM RACISTS is under way. Mike, would you please read the minutes from our last meeting while Rant is out getting the refreshments?... -
Were the apes sub-human?...

Well I laughed at the thread's title. I guess I should mention that when the Anti-Christ was running for Senator of NY she had her travel expenses paid for because she was First Lady. Nah, I won't bother -- I hate the whole "Well the other side did it" tactic of posting...

Hmm, when I lived at Sappy Valley I would get the Sunday Pittsburgh Post-Gazette for the same price as I would if I lived in Pittsburgh. Of course, I didn't get a subscription, and the only reason I would get that edition was for the Sunday coupons...
