  1. Without LT Vs Bam Bam, WrestleMania 11 wouldn't have gotten 1/100th of the attention it did and it may have not even have sold out the fricking Hartford Civic Center. Besides, screw the haters, that is the Steamboat-Flair of matches involving celebrities. It's not that bad
  2. I like chocolate and I like soda but chocolate soda just seems wrong.
  3. I demand Demolition Man 2. Stallone's most underrated action flick.
  4. Like JHawk- I like to get the footlong cause I usually can get two meals of it. I rarely eat it in one sitting but I guess that's not the case for most people who order 'em.
  5. I may be biased but I always thought outside of New England, that the Patriots for the first two championships were well respected but everybody was kind of indifferent towards them. Kind of like the NFL's version of the San Antonio Spurs. And since no one's asking questions I'll ask one. What year do you see the Florida Marlins moving?
  6. Well, can we at least agree that making out with Fred Durst didn't help?
  7. As someone who grew up in the mid-late 90s, everybody in my age group loved the Bulls. They were easily the most popular team at my elementary school and I grew up in Maine. Hell, I was usually the only Celtics fan in my class (Even then the Bulls were a close 2nd). In fact, I don't remember running across a Celtics fan my own age until they made the huge playoff run to the Eastern Conference Finals in '02. But I digress. Speaking of the mid 90s Boston Celtics, what was the worst season you've experienced as a fan for your favorite team(s)?
  8. A lot of Thora Birch's appeal went away for me when she made out with Fred Durst in a Limp Bizkit video. In the same year, Durst got to make out with Halle Barry in another Limp Bizkit video. Durst must have realized his band's popularity was fleeting and decided to make it with as many hot female celebrities as he could while he was still popular.
  9. Walter McCarty. He kind of sucked but I can think of at least three or four cases where hit a huge shot in the fourth quarter during his stint with The Celtics. He's the homeless man's Robert Horry.
  10. Just a wild guess but I'll say Alex Rodriguez. I know he's not the most reputable source but Jose Canseco claims he has stuff on him that's in his second book. As for NFL attendance, I'm not sure what redbaron is getting at. With the exception of The Cardinals before they got their new stadium and maybe some of this year's Falcons games at The Georgia Dome, most NFL games I've watched (even ones featuring crappy teams at home), the stadiums appear to be full or nearly full. What's the coolest thing you've seen at a minor league sporting event?
  11. I don't say it often but Marvin and Bob Barron were right! I didn't even know Over Her Dead Body was coming out this week. I thought it was coming out next weekend for some reason. And I guess I may be the only guy mildly surprised to see Strange Wilderness do so poorly. I didn't think it'd get #1 or anything but I was expecting the stoner demographic to get it to #6 or #7
  12. ^Apparently has a problem with white people liking faux-reggae.
  13. It never ends well for posters with "YOU'RE ALL A BUNCH OF IDIOTS! THIS IS A TERRIBLE BOARD!" schtick. It never does. Just ask Jearan! Do we have shit posters? Oh god do we have lots of them but overall this is better than 90% of forums I've come across.
  14. Nobody can convince me JN News is a gimmick. The guy just seems to be a legit nerd. He just really likes EWR and efeds.
  15. Blind Faith- Can't Find My Way Home
  16. That James Brown thing was baffling as his appearence was the blowoff for a feud that no one cared about between The Cat and The Maestro. The two never even wrestled, they just argued about whether The Cat really knew James Brown. That's WCW for ya.
  17. Kinetic is reading too much Stomp and Stammer. And yes I realize me and him may be the only ones to get that reference.
  18. I always thought that Ryan Reynolds was our generation's Chevy Chase. The smug, quick witted, good looking guy who finds himself in wacky situations. Difference being Chevy made three or four good movies back in the day while Reynolds has made none (Looked on his IMDB profile, the only exception I saw was Dick and I don't even remember Reynolds being in that). Jason Lee was also kind of a poor man's Chevy Chase before My Name Is Earl
  19. I've never been to Applebees, TGI Friday's or Chilli's and I plan on continuing that streak. I was trying to engage in a discussion with a guy from another board from Portland about local restaurants and he said his favorite place to go was Chilli's. We have one of the highest numbers of restaurants per capita in Portland and the guy's favorite place is Chilli's. It was then I realzied there are millions of JN News' across this far nation.
  20. Uh...have you looked at some of the box office grosses for movies starring Ryan Reynolds? It's pretty obvious, you're one of many. I don't hate the guy but I'm shocked he's gotten a chance to star in so many movies because damn near everyone I can think of that he starred in has flopped. He must be blowin' somebody. Unless he's inexplicably popular in the U.K.
  21. Dude played at the Fryeburg Fair here (The biggest fair in the State of Maine) last year but I opted to go on the night, John Cafferty and The Beaver Brown Band were playing. Unfortunately, he cancelled at the last minute so the Kamala clan decided to grab another fried vegetable platter and head home early.
  22. Wow, I didn't even know Justin Credible was in TNA (Assuming he was PJ Polaco). Doesn't surprise me. The dude has wrestled for pretty much every semi- major promotion in the past fifteen years outside of Smokey Mountain and WCW. Despite saying it was the worst of the old school WrestleManias, I don't really hate WrestleMania IV. I definitely hold some nostalgia for it as it was the first wrestling tape I "owned". I won Part 1 of the VHS as part of some cheapass raffle at a campground I used to stay at. Oddly enough, I didn't see Part 2 until about two years ago. It's not a terrible show (I'd definitely rank it ahead of IX, XI, XI, XIII and XV) but it's a chore to sit through in one sitting. Steamboat/Valentine, the Tag Team title match and the tourney final are all ***-***1/2 matches. And I'm a battle royal mark so the opener was a lot of fun for me.
  23. Hell, WrestleMania I through VIII seemed to do that. But most of the matches were somewhat short so I don't have too much against them. Off the top of my head I can think of; WrestleMania I Tito Santana Vs The Executioner David Sammartino Vs Brutus Beefcake WrestleMania II The Fabulous Moolah Vs Velvet McIntyire Uncle Elmer Vs Adrian Adonis WrestleMania III Butch Reed Vs Koko B.Ware WrestleMania IV Hmmm...even though this is the worst out of the "old school" era Wrestlemanias, every match seemed to serve some kind of a purpose even if the purpose was "Let's just throw every guy who doesn't have a feud into a battle royal" WrestleMania V The aforementioned Hacksaw Vs Bad News Brown match Brutus Beefcake Vs Ted DiBiase WrestleMania VI Koko Vs Rick Martel WrestleMania VII Kerry Von Erich Vs Dino Bravo Tenyru and uh...the other guy Vs Demolition WrestleMania VIII Owen Hart Vs Skinner
  24. Thought of another one Marc Mero Vs Leif Cassidy from In Your House: Final Four And for that matter, The Nation of Domination Vs Goldust, Flash Funk, and Bart Gunn (Talk about an odd trio) from the same PPV.
  25. Sorry, I'm a Gravel man.
