1000 Reasons why Late Night with Conan O'Brien
King Kamala replied to The Mandarin's topic in Television & Film
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MUODrv3XQAU&NR 315. A classic Conan clip. Andy Richter interviews pro wrestling legends about the '96 Presidential Election (From the YouTube thread on the general wrestling board). Jimmy Snuka's non sensical rant and Lou Albano flipping out at the end make the clip. -
Most forgettable stint in a promotion

Looking at the card of the first TNA show, there were a bunch of guys that fit this category; the aforementioned Lash LeRoux and Prince Justice (Aka Abyss sans the mask), Rick Steiner, Gangrel, etc. How about Emory Hale? He was the king of WCW Saturday Night (He got a Goldberg-esque push on the show towards the end of its run) but I don't remember him ever appearing on Nitro and Thunder. He did second Jimmy Hart in one of his matches against Mancow *shudder* Then he was set to get a monster push in XWF and then XWF folded and he died a couple years later. -

If the question is has Nash ever wrestled a good match against Goldberg? If so, the answer is probably eh. I wouldn't call any of their matches good but (and call me crazy for this) I thought their match at Starcade '98 was watchable until the crap finish. Besides, Goldberg totally walked out on their triple threat match with Scott Steiner at New Blood Rising and Nash and Steiner had to improvise a finish! Speaking of Nash, I'm surprised at how well behaved he has been recently in TNA. I haven't heard much backstage hubub about him at all in like six months. -

I didn't think it was that forgettable personally. I remember him having a pretty lengthy feud with A.J. Styles in the early days of TNA. -

Has Nash ever actually wrestled competently? Against someone not named Bret Hart or Shawn Michaels? No -

I remember reading somewhere, he was doing less wrestling and working more on his art. Good that he has something to fall back on, I guess. It seems that he got lazy towards the end of WCW. I remember once they "punished" him for getting lazy and out of shape by having him squashed by Rick Steiner on an episode of Nitro in '01. It was just brutal, I don't even think Lash got in an offensive move. Speaking of forgettable, has anybody mentioned Curt Hennig in TNA? -
Yeah he's also huge into psychadelics (LSD, DMT, etc.). I was listening to an interview with him on some radio show where he was talking about how he has some kind of chamber in his basement where he locks himself in and takes LSD and whatnot.

Thanks for sharing man. This is fuckin' great.

And in the same vein, Tommy Rogers' brief and uneventful run in WCW in early '00 (During the brief period when Kevin Sullivan was booking). IIRC, he only appeared on WCW Saturday Night. He showed up and won two or three matches against guys like Shark Boy and The Villanos and then on one of the last episodes of Saturday Night before it became a recap show, he had a surprisingly competitve (and decent) match with Lash LeRoux that went a good 8-9 minutes. I thought Tommy was going to pull off the minor upset but Lash eventually beat him. Then that was the last I saw of him in that stint. Speaking of Lash LeRoux, he had two forgettable stints in NWA: TNA, one in 2002, where he basically appeared in the Gauntlet for The Gold match at the first pay per view and second in 2004, where he jobbed a couple of times on Xplosion. I vaugely recall him being in the Gauntlet for the Gold but don't remember his stint in '04 at all. I can't be the only Lash LeRoux mark on this board. For some reason, I've always liked the guy. -
I didn't think their was much of a difference between 2nd rate and 6th rate. Either way they suck. I always thought of Creed as a Pearl Jam ripoff. Just because I say Creed is a poor man's Pearl Jam doesn't mean that Creed is almost as good as Pearl Jam. In summary, Creed sucks and it spawned a bunch of even suckier Creed knockoffs.
-
I didn't think it would win, but I thought Pick of Destiny was going to be int he top 5 at least and probably the top 3. I bet the execs place the blame on Kyle Gass.

Hinder is a subpar Nickelback. And Nickelback is a fourth rate Creed, who were in itself a second rate Pearl Jam.

Refute this statement and I'll tear you a new asshole

Not really a statement; more so a question but what do you guys think is the most underrated series of all time? I'm going to say Homicide: Life On The Street. I've only seen the first two seasons, but it's really incredible for a network series and it was a bit of a precursor to The Wire (Should be since it came from the same creator). Some of the cases themselves could get a bit hackneyed once in a great while but their wasn't a remotely weak character and the cast, IMO, is one of the best of all time. I mean Yaphett Kotto was in it damn it! I heard it sort of went down hill later on though. I know it gets a bit of critical acclaim but that show should be getting a bit more love IMO. -

Rent them. Most of the shows' season sets are available to rent at pretty much every video store. I haven't seen a video store that doesn't have The Sopranos and Entourage and most have Deadwood, The Wire, some seasons of Oz, etc. And if you have NetFlix, that's even better. -
Supposidely, Hinder was offered the opening slot for the tour but they rejected it cause they thought Axl was going to be too flakey. Ponder that one for a moment. Probably for the better, that shit band (Hinder) doesn't need any more exposure than it already has.

Yeah, I bet Josh Homme is just devastated that he won't have to spend another month and half on tour with Axl Rose and Sebastian Bach

I'm partial to "Christmas Time (Don't Let The Bells End)" By The Darkness, "Fairy Tale of New York" by The Pogues and "Bizarre Christmas Incident" by Ben Folds Five "Do They Know It's Christmas?" is also a huge guilty pleasure of mine.

As evidenced by the turnout for New Cars shows and his solo shows.... very few.

Mickie Vs Lita : Mickie Chavo Vs Chris Benoit: Chavo Mr. Kennedy Vs The Undertaker: I'm leaning towards The Undertaker but if Kennedy does win, he's going to win in a really screwy fashion that doesn't get anybody over. Team Spirit Squad Vs Legends Team: Legends Team (Unlike the others, I think it won't be a clean sweep though. I bet Slaughter and Farooq will get eliminated in a screw job fashion but Flair and Dusty will survive) Team Cena Vs Team Big Show: Team Cena (Soul Survivor: John Cena) Team DX Vs Team RKO: Team RKO (Soul survivor: Randy Orton) Batista Vs King Booker: Batista (Though I hope King Booker will win. Really though, who does he have to feud with if he beats Batista in the blowoff? The Undertaker. It's pretty obvious Batista is going over unfortunately)

I really shouldn't criticize anybody's DVD collection really. I have Jaws: The Revenge on DVD for christ's sake and House Party 3!

Well, they went on to play in Cleveland two nights later. So I guess Ric just temporarily disabled Todd. I don't see why the other guys in The New Cars just go on tour with Ric Ocasek. I saw Ric Ocasek give an interview on VH1 Classics where he said he wouldn't mind going on a small 10-15 date tour with the rest of The Cars. I guess you could argue that the other guys want the chance to make more money by going on longer tours. But seriously they'd make more money doing a 10-15 date arena tour than doing a 40-50 date tour of half filled theaters. The New Cars just don't make any sense to me but damn it I wanted to see them!

309. The Schizophrenic Cartoon Characters network (Something along those lines) Spongebob Squarepants: I can control the weather with my penis! -
Yeah, I figured as much. Still, the guy needs to hire a better agent. Everytime I go to the video store (Which is getting more rare these days since I got NetFlix), I see at least one new direct to DVD movie starring him. Maybe he just really likes working, regardless of the potential merit of the project. I think he's fairly talented but some of his movies you couldn't pay me to watch.

"Roadhouse" should never be remade. It's perfectly good as it is in it's stupidity. I think he was referring to Ghost with John Cena in the Patrick Swayze role and Mickie James in The Demi Moore role. I think Booker T would be excellent in the Whoopi Goldberg role, of course there'd have to be a few tweaks in the script.
