I've been waiting for this set for years and now I've finally got it.

He was a huge muscleman (powerlifter or body builder can't remember), they were hyping him to be the next big thing and I don't even think he wrestled more than a match or two. He also had a very forgettable stint in ECW as well.

I was watching Live 8 on DVD last night and man are the Kaiser Chefs out of place in Philadelphia. The audience just bounces beach balls or looks at the stage with a confused reaction They should have traded spots with Snoop Dogg and been in London.

I loved it when Disco somehow won a battle royal filled with fellow jobbers before the first World War 3 pay per view and everybody got mad at him. I remember before the World War 3 battle royal, they interviewed everyone and asked them who they wanted to eliminate and everybody except Sting said Disco Inferno! Before this thread turns into a Disco Inferno appreciation thread. I'll give my say and say I think WCW 2000 was more entertaining but WWE 2005 is probably better from a wrestling standpoint. YES! The Disqo Duck! Bring that thing back! Didn't they have a ladder match on Nitro between The Boogie Knights and The Filthy Animals where the duck was on the top of the ladder instead of a belt? In fact I might have that match on tape!

Harvey managed Sid for a brief time in 92 before Sid left. I guess you could say that was the closest he got to managing an over heel but even Sid left after a month or two under Harvey's tutelage. I don't think Fred Durst should count, he didn't even sit ringside at an ECW show IIRC. It was supposed to be a one off celebrity cameo. If you count that than you can count Ben Stiller's appearence on Raw getting hit in the head with a guitar by Jeff Jarrett or Gary Coleman's appearence in WCW. All it was was Steve Corino walked on stage during a Limp Bizkit concert and started talking trash. BTW, if that was supposed to get Corino over as a heel, it failed for me. Cause trash talking Limp Bizkit only makes me like someone more.

Yeah, I saw Bruce Almighty in a packed movie theater and everyone was laughing their ass off except for me....I was like what is with these people? I usually can at least tolerate Jim Carrey movies (I find him a bit overrated but he's still decent) but that movie was a preachy piece of shit.

It's worth noting that Mike Enos was in the ring when Scott Hall first appeared in the crowd in May 1996, kicking off the biggest angle in WCW history. Another wrestler in a forgettable stint with a company was Enos' opponent that night. Who was his opponent you ask? Steve Doll, formerly known as Steve Dunn of Well Dunn (non) fame.

How about the Rock and Roll Express in WCW in 96? I watched back WCW almost religiously at that point and even I didn't remember there stint there. The only way I found out about it was cause I was reading some WCW House Show results and I saw they were on a few of them curtain jerking.

Let's not forget Mike Enos and Wayne Bloom (Aka The Beverly Brothers using their real names) in WCW. They teamed up on a few Thunders and WCW Saturday Nights but nothing really ever came of it. Although Enos was in WCW as a singles wrestler for a while from 96ish to 99 and he did get a pay per view match against Chris Benoit at Souled Out 99. Another one even though it lasted two or three years, Barry Horowitz's WCW career. People remember him as a WWF jobber, not a WCW jobber. I vaguely remember Barry Horowitz had a brief WCW Saturday Night only angle with Alan Funk in 2000 but the show was cancelled before anything came of it. I think the feud was based on Alan Funk making fun of Barry never winning a match. Two other WWF lower-midcarders/jobbers in WCW, Jim Powers and Pat Tanaka. For some reason, I thought Jim Powers was going places as he was managed by Teddy Long (anybody with a manager can't be a jobber!) and won a few squashes on Saturday Night and Pro. But he was basically used in the same role as JTTS as he was in WWF. Pat Tanaka was in WCW for like six months in 98, he wrestled mostly against cruiserweights and I thought that division could have used him but alas it was not to be.

How about Sabu in WCW in 96? That was way out of place.

Yeah, that was really bizarre. I think he only wrestled three matches, one he teamed up with Jerry Lynn against Justin Credible and someone else, then I think he fought Credible in a one on one match and then he jobbed to Big Sal in a match so Heyman could see that Hall would put people over. \ Here's another one, Greg Valentine in WCW in 96-97 as a babyface. He won most of his matches, but they were mostly on WCW Saturday Night or Worldwide against jobbers. I remember he fought The Giant on Nitro once and got squashed. How about Ahmed Johnson as Big T in WCW in 2000. I mean he did have a feud with Booker T in the epic "Battle over the T". After that though, he teamed up with Stevie Ray as Harlem Heat 2000 and lost a lot of matches in April/May of 2000. I remember his nickname on the net at the time was Big (gu)T

It wasn't nearly as bad as 1992 when your fatass got shoved in that casket... But it wasn't as good as 1993 when the good Reverand Slick taught me that "I WAS A MAN!" and he taught me how to bowl.

I had a pretty good but uneventful first half of the year and a great second half of the year. Nothing really traumatic happened to me personally. I had a good 2k4 and a meh 2k3, so I think each year keeps getting better and better for ol' King Kamala.

Which major wrestler had the most forgettable stint in a major promotion? One shot appearences don't count, unless they weren't meant to be one shot appearences but they ended up being one shot appearences. I'm going to start this thread off by mentioning Marty Jannetty's stint in WCW. Completely and utterly forgettable. Won a few matches during the beginning of his stint against guys like Lenny Lane and Louis Spicolli but then basically became a JTTS. I vaguely remember them beginning a feud between Jannetty and Raven's Flock but never really going through with it except for matches between Jannetty and guys like Sick Boy. I don't know if it was drugs that ruined it (In fact it probably WAS the drugs that ruined it) or the way too big roster but Jannetty didn't do anything. I still thought Jannetty had something to offer and could have been a decent mid carder in the TV title hunt or something. I'll also mention both of Jim Neidhart's WCW stints (One in 92 and one in 98). I don't even remember Neidhart being in WCW back in 92 but I've heard it mentioned on the net that he wrestled a couple of matches for them. In the 98 stint, he teamed up with Davey Boy Smith and I thought they would be in the WCW Tag Team titles scene but the only thing they did was face lower tier tag teams like Public Enemy. They did have a match at Fall Brawl 98 (one of the worst PPVs of all time) against The Boogie Knights but I'm not sure if there was a feud before or what. At least, Davey Boy had a brief feud with Steve "Mongo" McMichael (A bad one but at least he had something to do) and the nWo B-Team, Neidhart did nothing except for be in Davey Boy's corner for said feuds. His stints in WCW really prove that Jim Neidhart was really nothing without Bret Hart. There are more that I have in mind and I'll mention them later in this thread.

That's a worthwhile match to watch just to hear the crowd heat alone. It's unbelievable. Everytime Piper or Hogan get any sort of offensive move, the crowd goes ballistic. No exaggeration.

I only went to five concerts this year but they were all at least decent. So here's the ranking of them; 5. Better Than Ezra, opening act;Asyln. Monument Square, Portland, Maine. July 28th, 2005.It was a free concert so I got what I paid for. Everyone on the bill was decent but forgettable. The place was jam packed with people, none of them moving or showing any form of excitement. I know this is a free concert, but jeez I've been to free concerts before and the crowd hasn't been as dead as the one I saw at this one. 4. Ben Folds, opening act;Corn Mo. UNH Fieldhouse, Durham, New Hampshire. May 9th, 2005. Ben Folds is a great live performer, the only thing is he played a bit too much from the new album (Easy to understand since it came out like a week before the concert), the new songs weren't bad songs, just not very good live songs. Still he played everything I wanted him to play and the opening act, Corn Mo was wildly entertaining. 3. G.Love and Special Sauce/Blackalicious. The Orpheum Theater, Boston, Massachusetts. November 26th, 2005. Both bands put on great sets that had the crowd on their feets. The crowd was a little confused during the beginning of Blackalicious' set but by the end, everyone was cheering wildly when they did "Alphabet Aerobics". G. Love put on a great, ecclectic set and even did a snippet of "Gold Digger". The encore was awesome,first G.Love did acoustic covers of "Blackbird" and "The Times They Are A Changin" by himself and then Special Sauce and Blackalicious came out and they did a collaboration together that was awesome. 2. Weezer, opening act;The Fray. The Colisee, Lewiston, Maine. July 12th, 2005. A quintessential summer concert, I was in the second row of people and it was so god damn hot. I had heard mixed reviews of Weezer as a live act, so I came in with relatively low expectations and they blew me away. Maine is so starved for entertainment, everyone went crazy throughout Weezer's set, even for the songs off the new album. It was so weird seeing everybody sweating their ass off in the crowd and seeing Rivers Cuomo on stage wearing a vest with a striped shirt underneath and jeans. Rivers even seemed to enjoy himself during this show, taking time to look out at the audience after the show. This show is also notable because former bassist of Weezer, Matt Sharp was in attendance for some reason. 1. U2, opening act;Keane. TD BankNorth Garden, Boston, Massachusetts. October 3rd, 2005. A perfect Indian Summer day, hanging out in Boston. Ended perfectly by being right outside of the Elipse for U2. I was so close to Bono and Larry Mullen Jr. during "Love and Peace or Else". Everything people say about U2 being one of the best live bands is true. Cool notable; John Kerry and Tom Brady were both in attendance during this concert. Just a flat out awesome concert, it's tied with the Prince concert I saw last year for Best Concert I've ever seen.
