Hey next week for ESPN: The Headlines they're doing the worst single season team of the past 25 years. I find it incredibly weird in the commercials they mention the 53-109 1996 Detroit Tigers but not the 43-119 2003 Detroit Tigers. Last year's Tigers really had no positives except for "they might be decent two or three years down the line". I'd have to put the 03 Tigers as the worst, followed by the 1993 Dallas Mavericks (11-71) and the 1990 New England Patriots (1-15).

A lot of people really don't like the Audioslave album. And true, it isn't as good as Soundgarden or Rage Against The Machine. But there are 4 or 5 good songs on there and nothing's too horrible. I used to have the Lit album with My Own Worst Enemy on it(On cassette for some reason) and honestly, it was pretty good. I'd check it out again, if I didn't lose it.

LA isn't that bad of a sports town. The Dodgers get great attendance considering they haven't made the playoffs since 1996, The Lakers have always been popular even during the post Magic, Pre-Shaq era. The LA Kings are a lot more popular then a hockey team in LA should be. USC and UCLA football are huge and when it's decent UCLA basketball is. And I'm not even factoring in the Anaheim Angels. Overall, I'd say LA is a good sports town but not a great one. To explain the Clippers, would anyone buy a ticket to see a team who's been consistently bad for almost 25 years (I know the board's Clipper fan is going to raise his hand here)?

What about Tampa/St.Petersberg/Orlando? That could be a candidate. The D Rays have had two sellout games in their six years history (The inaugaral game and this year's season opener), albeit they haven't had much to work with. Nobody gave two shits about the Lightning until last year's playoff run. The Magic have won jack and shit and by the looks of things might lose one of the NBAs best players. And the Bucs were terrible until about six or seven years ago. Their teams aren't terrible for the most part, but the fans are bandwagon hoppers to put it nicely.

Pittsburgh could be a great sports city if the GMs built decent teams as the Steelers and Pirates did in the 70s and Penguins in the 90's (Also the Steelers have had a decent run the last seven or eight years, last year not included.) The Braves were 7th and 8th in the NL in attendance the last two years, rather poor considering they were eventual NL East champions the last two years. Cleveland is pretty horrible too, about two dozen people went to Cavs games up until LeBron's debut. The Browns aren't looking too good for the future. Everyone's talking about how great the Indians will be but, when will they finally "arrive"

Which city do you guys think is the worst out of all, in terms of fans and team performance. I got to go with Atlanta, sure the Braves had good attendance for a while but everybody's hopping off the bandwagon (Except Bob Barron). The Hawks haven't drawn big crowds since the heyday of Spud Webb and Dominique Wilkens. And the Hawks are probably not winning any more then 20 games next year. The Thrashers have potential but it's anyone guess if Kolvachuk and Heatley will live it out in Atlanta. So, what do you think is the worst Major League sports city

What happenes to the Lakers next year? My very early prediction (This will change), Kobe leaves (Either The Clippers or Memphis), Malone retires, and Payton re-signs (Where else will he go). The Lakers make the playoffs for the next two or three years, but don't get past the 2nd round. Or at least that's what I'd like to happen.

And another question, seeing how your the biggest KISS fan on the board. Can you name any redeemable qualities about the Peter Criss solo album? Totally unrelated but two other albums I enjoyed that most on this board wouldn't like, are the Backstreet Boys and N' Sync's first albums. I still love the production on these two, Max Martin is the MAN! I heard Andrew WK wants to work with Max Martin for his next album. Max Martin+Andrew WK=Best album ever.

E! is the worst at picking comedians for their specials. Absolute shitsville. Every stand up they get up there, I've never seen except maybe getting rejected early on in Last Comic Standing. The best(Which is an oxymoron) of those E! countdowns might have two mildly amusing people.

My God Emma is such an annoying bitch. Most of the females on the show are and none of them are any more then somewhat hot. DAMMIT! There's gotta be more hot Canuck chicks up there! I saw the Breakfast Club episode and man was it bad.

Another album that's disliked that I just remembered (Coincidentally also KISS related) are the KISS solo albums. Gene Simmons is quite ecclectic and features several great songs. Ace Frehley's is a pretty good hard rock record, Paul Stanley's album is fairly innoffesnive. The only one that's bad is Peter Criss', which features a boatload of Beth ripoffs and is a soft rock album. I mean he is deemed the soft, sensitive member of KISS (after all he's a cat) but come on Peter put a few rockers on there!

I got one that's pretty bad. KISS-Alive III. Now outside of maybe some of the hardcore KISS fans on the board, I don't think anyone likes this one. But come on, I'm no man to resist a rock version of I Was Made For Loving You. I think the only reason I like this one is because it's the first KISS Alive I heard. And off topic but are people really demanding an Alive IV. I also use to frequently listen to the Sabrina the Teenage Witch Soundtrack four or five years back, particularly Sugar Ray's cover of Abracadabra. There I said it and I feel better for doing so.

Yep I think so, unless they made an appearence or something. What about Jean Pierre Laffiette? He got one big match on a PPV and never showed up at another unless it was a Royal Rumble or something.

My town(Portland, Maine) doesn't have any major league sports, but we're so into the Boston teams. So I'll rank them, 1. Red Sox 2. Patriots 3. High School Football (On a good night 7-8,000 people attend a game between crosstown rivals. Despite Maine never having even a college football star.) 4. Sea Dogs (Local Double A affliate of the Red Sox. Wouldn't be this high if they weren't associated with the Red Sox) 5. Tie, Bruins and Celtics. Probably both could go higher or lower depending on the quality of that year's team. 6. High School basketball. Could be higher then Bruins and Celtics, if one of them aren't doing so well. 7. Pirates (Local AHL affliate of the Washington Capitals) 8. Yankees (Fairly big Yankees contingent in Portland) 9. MLS (About 12,000 people attended a preseason MLS game here two years ago. That's like 3x bigger then the yearly Capitals preseason games that come here.) 10. High School baseball

Shaft Goes To Africa($4) House on Haunted Hill (The shitty remake But it was only $4) One of the two disc sets of Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers ($9) That video store I bought these DVDs at had the worst most obscure B movies. They didn't even have a great selection of "big A-list movies" but they had one of the most spectacular collections of B movies. I almost bought a direct to DVD movie called Sassquatch, where Lance Henriksen battles Sassquatch. It was only $4 too, how could I have past it up?

Looks like I might have a whole section to myself when I go to Olympic Stadium in August. The Expos this year are truly pathetic, offensive wise. Maybe even worse then dare I say, last year's Tigers. I'm not saying they'll be nearly as bad as the Tigers last year, but with this offense they're a sure fire bet to lose 100 games.

I dig the summer of 96, WCW was just clicking on all cylinders at that time. Sure the main events were bleh, but those storylines for them were excellent and most of the undercard was excellent.

I'm totally surprised at the lack of publicity the Dodgers-Giants series has recieved. Sure it's no Yankees- Red Sox but I'd expect it to get a little more publicity then the average series.
