It would have been funny to see HHH fighting to keep his bitch Ric, and I believe most people on the board actually expected HHH to be kicked out, not Randy.

I have no problems with this statement for a new guy who may not be making much progress right away, or has had a string of poor matches, if he's just going to be a midcarder. However, not for a guy WWE wants to be a main eventer ready for the spotlight *right now*. He should get better first, not later. I can't see Orton ever being half as good as the Rock. When Rocky still really, really sucked, he was only as high as the Intercontinental Title. Orton is a lot better than Rock was then, but Rock was consistently a hell of a lot more entertaining by the time he'd won his first WWF Title than Orton had been. Whether or not you agree with it, you're trying to use Rock as the one exception while ignoring all the other failures. However, the reason Orton's career resembles Rock's so much is that they *deliberately* tried to follow the same course as Rock, thinking that it was their own brilliant booking that got Rock over, and excepted that same accident to occur again. I'll agree with that. Whoever says he has "the look" makes me question WTF "the look" is actually supposed to be. Is "the look" just a way of saying "tall white male"? The guy doesn't look like a star to me, and he still looks a scrawny, if well-toned, jobber AFAIC.

You would be correct. I'm shocked. SC2 and T5 are literally the only recent arcade fighters available for play to me within about a 40 mile radius. It should be easy to find a T5 machine if you aren't totally in the boonies.

Just like the "organic webshooters" and having Mary Jane as the very first girl Parker had a thing for (but still doing the bridge conundrum)? I don't really remember those being complained about too much. I think that comic fans are mostly sensible enough to accept changes being made that make sense and are done well. For example, the costumes in the X movies (except for Damu's complaints), or some of the changes made for the Batman Animated Series.

Actually Anya, I could *swear* that before I gave the issue of GI to a friend, T5 got an 8.75. So you were close. It should have had online play and multi-tiered arenas, damnit! Anyone pick up a Gamepro lately for their T5 review? I wonder if the little cartoon guy thought it was worth bright red, fully-blown and ripped 5.0 cocaine highs across the board. However, SC was the first time they broke away from Sony for a major title. SC2 gave hope of them delivering on other consoles... Now this. Well, at least there's Klonoa Dream Champ Tournament. Jer: Ah yes, Gamepro. Always there to remind you "yeah, Game Informer seems like the drizzling shits, but it could be worse!" SC2 got a 5.0 for Fun Factor too, right? The "create a character" will probably just be an expanded form of the T5 customization. Although it would be funny if they had special movesets you could assign that happened to be Heihachi, Spawn, and Link's.

Actually..and don't quote me on this, because it might not have been you, but 'people' were saying that only some girls in the audience were cheering for him. And that's it. And to my knowledge thats not 'a midcard reaction'. One person said that. For some reason you agreed with it. But time and time again I've heard people comment that Randy's getting midcard heat, not "zero reaction" (like he *was* getting until perhaps as late as just before he won the IC title). I honestly can't tell how much of the crowd cheering for him is male versus female, but a midcard reaction is the very most that he's getting right now. I'm not trying to shortchange him. However, I'm not listening intently at the reactions he gets because his very presence on my TV annoys the fuck out of me. I'd dispute this point you made: I'm sorry, but Batista (up until his recent, awful, kiss-ass promos that you know HHH helped script) was just so calm, natural, and bad-ass the way he cut his promos, I can't see Orton doing the same job nearly half as well. Plus, Orton being booked as a monster simply would not work like it has with Batista. Orton still looks like he doesn't belong, IMO.
