  1. That would be horrible, because Vince would think he's a massively over heel, that the push worked, and he'd put the belt on Bradshaw.
  2. I snatched up a cheap tape of Appleseed. If it's not that great, eh, it was only 3 bucks.
  3. "Some people flew out from other continents and spent well over $1000, to see this," *laughs at the shameless, foolish, money-wasting geeks*
  4. You don't. You play "Universal Mini Discs" in it.
  5. They hint at it, saying that when Drac was originally killed when he was "struck down" by the "left hand of God," and Drac mentions VH training in various parts of the world. However, when Drac is about to actually explain the whole thing, VH interrupts him, saying "some pasts are best left forgotten" and then they begin fighting. So maybe yes, maybe no, but he still he seems human. So if you're looking for a clear explanation, join the club. I suppose if it were actually explained it would beat the now-cliche half-human/half-vampire hunters we usually see.
  6. Even gimmick aside, no. Dinsmore doesn't have "the look." Whatever the hell that means exactly, Dinsmore isn't it.
  7. He cleared that up in a previous column. It seems we use "nerd computers." That seems to imply he uses a big honkin' macho computer with bull horns mounted on top off the screen and a built-in beer caddy, and a picture-in-picture that shows football games 24/7. Vince: He's one of our most marketable up-and-coming stars!
  8. I think a little of both. He did columns like this back when he was a face in a midcard tag team, but they weren't as pointed as this.
  9. "As for Halle Berry returning, Donner said the actress does return." Whoopie. *imagines Berry bitching about playing superheroes yet again as she stars in the spiritual successor to Batman and Robin*
  10. I've heard about this one for a while, and while only the interest in Bruce initially drew me, I'm all about the cheesy b-flicks, so either way I win. Naturally, the legions of geeky Bruce Campbell fans will be on this mutha the first chance they get.
  11. He ain't no Alice Cooper or Ozzy, to be sure. Satire implies sharp wit. Something I doubt you'll see here unless Romero shoves it in there.
  12. Can't be any worse than the steaming pile of shit known as Van Helsing.. It's not Hugh's fault it sucked.
  13. Hey, there's one. So he'll get injured and then replaced by Paul London? HAHAHAH! Translation: Please give me heat. Please buy the PPV or come see and boo me. I'm begging you. Is checkers Bradshaw's idea of a what nerds do for fun? I've done plenty more athletic things, I'm just not good at it, though. So Bradshaw admits he's nobody? Anyway, how out of touch. The internet isn't taboo and nerds rule the world, so get over yourself already. I'm sure the financial wizards in school were never picked on, oh no. Come on, John, get your schtick and stereotypes consistent already. Why bother? The sagging ratings and disasterous buyrate will be enough influence. A financial wizard, folks. You do. If it was 1984, maybe he'd be over.

That's being said as if I was one of the most outspoken critics of the gimmick when it was first announced. I didn't like the idea and thought it would bomb, but I don't think I bothered even making more than a post or two concerning it at the time. Shouldn't Banky be showing up here for his crow? Which is what my point was.
  15. Don't worry, Taker will draw some buyrates...then in return he'll be rewarded with a title reign.
  16. Which was itself a real measure of a screenwriter's talent, being a novel and all. However, I'm getting the feeling this one's going to be far from a movie adaption of the novel. Noticing Akiva's profile on IMDb, I see two more book adaptions coming and an Opie movie. I forgot Akiva was responsible for the Lost in Space movie.
  17. I was curious what good roles he's had period. They'd certainly be outweighed by his bad ones: Independence Day, Bad Boys, Wild Wild West, etc. It seems like a string of utter garbage. Any time Will Smith is in any way associated with a good movie, it's utter coincidence, it seems. Enemy of the State: Massively overrated due to the ludicrous premise and wasted talent. Although they were at least wise enough to give Smith a much more talented actor to play off of. Bagger Vance: Eh, alright. Seriously, the MIB flicks are probably his best work, and that doesn't mean he's cut out for any serious, dramatic roles. They just worked with his strengths. He's decent in a well-written comedy role. That doesn't mean he's much more than a pop star who whores his latest project constantly and enthusiastically. "Oh, and it may not be a true adaption, meaning, 100%, it is based on the book, and it will use alot of ideas from the book, which makes it worth while for now." I'm thinking a superficial connection to the book. I wonder if they'll proudly tout "from the screenwriter that brought you Batman and Robin" in the TV trailers.
  18. Agreed.
  19. "John Cena vs. One of those stupid guys that hung out with Tajiri right before he transfered..sorry don't pay attention to nobodies' names. (Mordecai also had a titantron during the entrances here)" Man, feel the credibility. Looks like another steaming pile for this week's Smackdown.
  20. And all those masses of people who were on the fence at this point about the PS2 are rejoicing, I'd imagine.... Well, not really. Just those people whose poorly-made original PS2s just conked out.
  21. If it's going to be primarily used for 3D games, I'm not sold on it.
  22. Conspicuous by its absense--the price.
  23. The movie has nothing to do with the book from what I've gathered, and this one'll likely suck majorly. "I know many don't like Will Smith, but when put into good roles, he does a very good job." ?????
  24. Correct. Also Fable was demoed when the XBox came out. At least, shown a trailer. You obviously didn't get the subtle sarcastic hint there. Eh, I'm a new X-Boxer, so I haven't been paying that much attention. Plus it seemed like Malice was rather quietly killed--I saw a few lines in a magazine about it, but I didn't hear a big deal made of it.
  25. It's a SOUL-DESTROYING DRUG, that Marihuana. Signs point to...
