  1. It's not like the O's are a bad team, either. With good pitching, they could contend for a WC spot in the AL. So at least the Yanks are having a tough time putting down teams the caliber of say, the Pirates.
  2. So you don't have chronic arm problems. See Prior, Mark.
  3. I wish people would get over him giving Van Helsing three stars. Everytime his name is brought up, there's at least one person who mentions this, and the comments don't ever add anything more than the last ones about it did.
  4. Nothing quite stings like coming back and then losing to your old second string catcher.
  5. Yeah, but Gonzalez could've given them the lead since Lo Duca was on third. I give credit to the Marlins, though. Most teams would've folded after that play at the plate went against them.
  6. Was Bret sick and they allowed Aaron to fill in for him?
  7. Considering his appearance, I'd say she got the short end of the stick on this one. I'm not one to slam on the guy for no reason, but I don't want to envision the Bonzo Gonzo that goes on in that bedroom.
  8. She looked like Bertha Faye.
  9. Jeff Suppan looks like he'll add to the madness, as he's almost through eight and hasn't thrown 100 pitches yet. Blanking the Brew Crew right now.
  10. Good thing we bolstered down that bullpen during the offseason! I guess if you're having trouble scoring runs, play the Cubs. They'll do everything they can to change that.
  11. Only the Cubs could make games against the struggling Pirates epics. When the hell is Nomar and A-Ram gonna show up? The window for the slow start excuse is starting to close, and for someone like Nomar, who had a fantastic ST, there's no reason why that shouldn't have carried over to the games that actually matter.
  12. Yeah, well...he struck out with a runner in scoring position. So there! Speaking of choking with RISP, the Cubs loaded the bases with one out for Ramirez and Lee. Ramirez K'd after getting a 3-1 count, and Lee grounded out. I'm trying to tell myself it's fine since it is Oliver Perez, but they should've been able to squeeze one out that situation.
  13. Why in the world is Jose Hernandez batting third against Johan Santana?
  14. It's called a Snacker. What do you expect? I'd suggest getting the combo. You get two of those, a side, and a drink. If that doesn't fill you up, then look elsewhere, fatass.
  15. The things you can get done with some coke.
  16. Man, the Dodgers' pen better not blow this thing. I'm surprised Perez got pulled. Pitched excellently and only had thrown 79 pitches.
  17. Good thing they clarified. I wasn't sure which Edge they were talking about until reading that.
  18. He's probably just trying to get his scrubs in. At least Hairston's at second. And man, what a finish for the Reds/Cards game. Graves gave up a run to make it 6-5; had runners at second and third with only one out. They walk Walker intentionally to get to Pujols. And he grounded into the game-ending doubleplay. Incredible.
  19. No way Dusty gets the boot this season; unless things absolutely fall apart. Didn't the Marlins' rotation start out real hot last season, too? I remember Beckett and Willis specifically being right on the first couple weeks, but then Dontrelle had a snap where he'd be lights out or embarrassing.
  20. The Cubs' rotation is so sad to watched compared to the Marlins'. They both were dubbed two of the best rotations in baseball, but whereas the Marlins are living up to it, the Cubs are injury-ridden, inconsistent guys that can't get the job done. It's funny, though, that even with the wind blowing straight in, they still insist on swinging like it's a homerun derby. Would I be crazy in suggesting that if the Cubs don't make the postseason this year, Baker will be out? Or are we doomed to watch more years of Dusty's Boys?
  21. Very little. My girl can tear it up in the kitchen, though. I'd be tearing my hair out if we lived together, but I'd be too fat to continue it for long periods of time. I'll post some of her recipes later.
  22. Rain.
  23. Getting Neifi Perez a cup of Gatorade.
  24. 1-0 losses hurt, but moreso when the one run was unearned. I question Neifi Perez batting second. Why did we get Hairston again? And a day after being a hero, Burnitz shoulda just stayed in bed, since his error led to the single run and he struck out on terrible pitches with the tying run in scoring position. Twice!
  25. I wish Dusty Baker would pull a Major League and fine certain players who hit the ball in the air. I'm looking at you Jose Macias.
