What movies are coming out Superbowl weekend?

The '03 ones can't hold a matchstick to cracking Jimmy Snuka with a coconut and the one at Wrestlemania IV (or V, I can't remember) with Brother Love's killer Piper impersonation and Piper spraying Morton Downey Jr. with a fire extinguisher. Sure, that one was filler, but it was entertaining filler.

So the Rams feasted on their piss-poor division while going 3-7 against everyone else? Pathetic. I move that the Bills be temporarily moved to the NFC for the playoffs. In the AFC, I'll go with Indy moving on to Foxboro, while the Chargers go to Pittsburgh, which would be one HELL of a weekend for football. In the NFC, the Rams and Seahawks play to a 2-2 tie after 20 OTs, giving the Eagles a bye into the title game, while The Packers go to Atlanta.

I think they specialize in 1-hour photo finishing.

What an absolutely pathetic first half at Gillette. They should keep the starters in for the start of the 3rd because they didn't DESERVE sitting out the rest of the game. Still gotta show up for the last game, guys.

Going against Wrestlemania V will hurt things, and the Superdome is a hard place for a wrestling show to sell out.

Well, I learned something from that: Steamboat's real name. He's always been well regarded. Sure, he didn't cut the best promos and people weaned on the "Attitude" era can't warm to his "shake hands and kiss babies" babyface persona, but get him in the ring and he delivers. I haven't run across many who don't rate him among the greats.

Yankees still have zero bench depth (Dave Roberts was "just a bench player" too), so injuries will murder them, and they have nothing to put up if they have to replace a Sheffield or even a Jeter or A-Rod.

Man, L&O just isn't the same with Billy Batts as one of the detectives. RIP Jerry. Guy's actually had a really distinguished career, I see.

The special was on ESPN Classic tonight. Can't remember the whole order offhand, but the whole ALCS was #1 (the July 1st Yanks/Sox game was there as well), Mickelson's Masters win was #2, and the Superbowl was #3. Events I can't remember the ranking: Duke/Maryland ACC tourney final, Andy Roddick's nearly three hour loss in the Australian Open final (that was #10), UConn/Duke (where the UConn women's win streak was snapped), Lightning/Flames game 6, Pistons/Nets game 5, and Georgia/Purdue Capital One Bowl.

The last really effective "evil foreigner" gimmick was Yokozuna, but that was mostly because the guy was gigantic and had Mr. Fuji and Jim Cornette to talk for him. You could argue Ludvig Borga, but that didn't really get off the ground.

Just three games: Burnout 3: Takedown (I now cannot speak ill of EA Games, since this game is too fucking fun) Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando (had no Up Your Arsenals, sez mother) Madden 2005 for X-Box, thanks to my thoughtful but mistaken sis. I'll go with her to return it and grab UYA, or maybe a few DVDs.

And you don't even see titties until you spend a lot of time with the game. The reviews I read said at first the game's logo covers the good stuff, then after a while they are blurred, and THEN there is nudity. Talk about artificially extending the gameplay. The Playboy game actually doesn't sound bad. It's pretty much like the console version of the Sims, with goal-oriented gameplay, and being able to shoot your own pictorals sounds decent.

Milwaukee or Colorado? Screw players, just send them enough beer to drop the price at the park a few bucks and/or provide a constant beer IV for David Wells every fifth day. I don't know if that was a good or bad trade, since Kim really didn't do much, but it opened the door for Bill Mueller and David Ortiz to get more playing time.

That's a lot of statuettes to carry home.

You don't need it driving there, so I can't see why you'd need it flying. Probably just your ID to get through customs.

Actually, I'd keep Wake in there and put Miller in the pen until it is clear that he can stay in the rotation instead of yanking Wake around (he's fine at the 4 or 5 spot, IMO).
