Davey has settled down nicely, tossing two TDs and breaking off some pretty good runs, including picking up a 1st on 3rd and 15. Me likey.

It's on the Boston ABC affiliate, who air all of the Patriots pre-season games. I'll bet it's on a local Philly station as well. Guess you have to settle for the nationally televised games. Davey isn't exactly showing his NFL Europe self tonight, but he's going to be in for the rest of this game, and he'll have a lot of opportunities to make the backup job his.

I think the Pats should give Mike Cloud a bit more to do. He might not have hands as good as Kevin Faulk, but I think he could be useful in goal line situations, and he runs somewhat better than Faulk and can shed tackles well.

Nice to see the Pats finally signed a punter. And Dillon gets a standing O after a 14 yard run. Looks like Brady hasn't missed a step after his surgery.

I think Conan would rather jump up an hour than take yet another 12:30 show, which would be more of a lateral move than anything else (unless they do it to groom Conan as the heir to Letterman's throne, then that's another story). I also can't really think of someone else who would be a good replacement. Jon Stewart, since CBS already took one Daily Show host?

Yeah, I heard that Reid is going to have the Eagles starters in for a quarter to a quarter and a half. That really isn't smart for the first game. Especially since everyone is hoping Rodney Harrison has a "meeting" with TO on the 40 yard line. Plus, I think it's going to rain up here tonight, so that just makes things worse. At least we're going to see Rosey Colvin back on the field a little, or so I hear.

I play with custom sliders that are pretty close to the ones for Legend. Turning on Performance EQ helps as well; it balances the teams to make for a more competitive game. It's 2006 in my franchise, and the Cardinals are the kings of the NFC at 7-2, they came back from a 24-7 deficit to beat me, with Ty Law (who I traded to them in 2005) grabbing the clinching INT.

I've caught bits and pieces of the first few eps., but this is the first one I've actually sat down to watch all the way, and this is now in the rotation for me, especially since Wednesday is usually dead TV wise.

I actually liked that reveal (the whole finale, actually) a lot more than the first one. Bryce spilling the beans was probably the best way to do it, and Tim's reaction after he sees everyone's hands go up was gold. And if you just found out that, after getting rejected moments earlier, that the girl you were falling for wasn't who she said she was, and that everyone was deceiving you, wouldn't YOU be less than jolly? I also hope for a Tim/Valerie pairing. She seemed genuinely worried that Tim would hate her for this.

What the hell? It's pretty much 411 with a new name. Isn't the point of creating a new site providing something......new?

I grabbed a kicker in the draft, and he's got an 81 overall rating, and my scouts say he was pretty clutch in college (and he has a high composure rating) so I'll take it. No one picked Adam up in free agency and he's still there one week into the season, so I think it would be wise of him to lower his demands. I tried to give him something like 3 years, 11M (with a 60% bonus), almost zero interest from him, and I had other guys to sign, so he loses out.

I re-structured Brady's contract, since I didn't want to have to deal with him in the offseason, so I was able to sign him for 5yrs/31M, freeing up some cap room for this year in the process, which I'll probably need since I lost Troy Brown for the season with a fractured leg. Has anyone tried to bring a guy like that back with rehab? Should I put him under the knife and hope for the best? It happened in week 1, so I only want to cut down the injury time so I can get him back by week 15-17 (or the playoffs). And I had to cut ties with Vinatieri. The guy wanted 5M for one year! Dude, your a kicker, no matter how clutch you are, you're still a small white man with a good leg.
