The Pacino version is by far the most beloved Scarface movie. The original Scarface film is one of those old-school movies that only die-hard, old school movie fans love.....

They should just ship Kurt Angle to Raw for HHH and be done with it. Kurt can rebuild Raw's workrate and carry Austin's sorry gimp ass in the promo department as well as give them someone to build around who isn't damaged goods. PLUS he'll have better selection of oppenents (Jericho, RVD, Christian, Kane, Booker T, HBK) on Raw than on SD, where it's the same old Angle, Brock, Big Show, UT jack-off contest every week.... HHH goes to SD where he can have Steph and the post-production crew pipe in cheers for him for his inevitable face run (which will bomb instantly on the live show that is Raw) as well as give us an actual reason for him to go face (save the ex from her daddy). FURTHERMORE he can work matches on SD with Brock Lesner, Edge, Benoit, and Eddy G and regain his workrate street cred as well as have fresh new opponents after scorch-earthing Raw. So, send Kurt off to go fuck around with the Raw midcard. ...No. Has it ever occured to you that Angle will be much more usefull in the midcard of Raw than he is right now on SD, where he's getting ready to jack off with John Cena in a pointless feud designed simply because UT has decided he wants to be main eventing again? ESPECIALLY since Angle would HELP Raw. As I said, he's doing jack shit now and I'd rather have him on Raw, in the midcard where he can contributed instead of doing jack shit on SD like he's done since this stupid ass roster split came into effect.....

I have to think that if Orton/HHH is the plan for WM 20, then SD title match will most definately headline WM. ESPECIALLY since HHH will be struggling like crazy to get any sort of heat for his face turn.....

Reguarding Jaws, the third one killed it off especially given how the original treatment of the film (which was going to be a parody piece writen by National Lampoon) was rejected by the studio in favor of a straight out horror film....

Highlander 2 killed the Christopher Lambert version of the franchise... They had to basically hire a new actor to play a brand new main character in order to salvage and revive the franchise after the Highlander 2 debacle... As for Highlander: Raven, it was bad but not that bad. ESPECIALLY given the fact that Amanda was not the first pick by TPTB to be the main character in the spin-off (which was one of the reasons why the last season of Highlander had so many episodes featuring brand new femlae characters, as TPTB were hoping to produce a spin-off character for the show....

Except Patty's lesbianism has been well documented throughout the show's run and has never been explored by the writers. Moe being gay would indeed be a tremendous cop-out and seem as just another example of the show twisting the cores of their characters in order to fit the wacky nature of the plot....
-
Alverez is a classic example of a character who stayed around long after his usefullness was used up. Miguel should have died during the HMO storyline when he attempted to hang himself after he blinded that guard and went insane from the guilt he felt and the claustrophobia induced insanity. Would have been a better and much satisfying way have the character go out on....

Skinner is straight and has Mrs K. and the writers have recently stated that they have no plans to make Skinner gay Lenny and Karl are a good pick, especially given the rising amount of subtext that they are in love these last couple of seasons Smithers might work, but unless it's Mr Burns on the receiving end it will come off as being anti-climatix Another guess no one has brought up: Marge's sister Patty. She's gay and it would be an easy way to work the Simpsons into the storyline....

If the religious right never threw a fuss all of these years when Smithers was openly pinning for Mr Burn's affection or after last season's episode where Homer kissed another man, I doubt they will not raise an eyebrow at this happeneing......

Kenan of "All That" joining SNL as featured player
JasonX replied to DerangedHermit's topic in Television & Film
<What's up with the Jimmy Fallon hate? He's just another dumb jock humour kind of guy, sort of like Adam Sandler back when he did the show.> Jimmy Fallon is nothing more than a corporate and non-threatening rip-off of Adam Sandler. He's only funny when he plays straight man and that he gets WAY too much air-time.... <I also never knew Tina was originally the co-head writer of the show. Unfortunately she had to actually get in front of the camera too.> IIRC Tina only became an on-camera talent when Colin Quinn quit the show and they desperately needed a new WU team. And she sticks to WU mainly, which plays to her strengths and makes her appearances mean something... <I admittedly don't watch it regularly though, and haven't caught a full episode in a long time. I miss the days of Will Ferrell. Anybody check out the DVD he has out, Best of SNL?> The Will Ferrell DVD was shit. Out of all of his skits they picked a rather sad selection for the dvd.... -
You are at the end of the second half of Season 4 (Season 4 was 16 episodes long and was split into two totally seperate eight episode arcs). You have two seasons (16 episodes in all) left of the series.

TV Tome has posted spoilers for season three of The Shield Spoiler Space . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . When we last saw “The Shield,” the Strike Team led by Vic Mackey (Michael Chiklis) had finally hit the Armenian money train and had acquired a large sum of cash. According to FilmJerk.com sources, the good news is that filming for the third season begins on September 12, less than a scant week away, for the first two episodes; the bad news is that fans have to wait until 2004 for the new season to debut on the FX network. According to our sources, the first two episodes will both be directed by Clark Johnson (who directed the pilot and has since gone on to direct this summer’s “S.W.A.T.”). In the first episode, which bears the title “Playing Tight” (#301), viewers will find that new restrictions force Vic to let the streets go wild, jeopardizing the money train stash. Also, several of the lead cast members get love interests. Among the new recurring characters we’ll be seeing are: Mara Sewell: The attractive new girlfriend of Shane (Walton Goggins), she's in her late 20s. Described as very charming and ambitious in a “wanting -to-make-up-for-a-bad-child hood way,” Sewell is very affectionate towards Shane. About to get her real estate license, she has secured Shane's promise to give her the down payment for a pre-owned Lexus, which she believes is a necessary status symbol for her job. She's angry when he goes back on his word for reasons of his own, but is all smiles and kisses when he winds up buying her the car. Listed as a Caucasian or mixed ethnicity character, there is the possibility that there may be some nudity necessary for the part. Tommy Hisk: An old school cop who's partnered with Julien (Michael Jace), he has been hearing some of the bad gossip that has been circulating on his new partner. Disgusted with Julien's performance with him on a routine domestic disturbance, Hisk makes no secret of his contempt for Shane and is outwardly dismissive of him. Producers are looking for someone who has some comedic ability and “authentically feel like a cop.” Owen Thigpen: Artsy and serious, he's a behavioral therapist who's working (very successfully) with Vic's son Matthew (Joel Rosenthal). He seems very dedicated to his job, chatting with both Vic and his estranged wife Corrine (Cathy Cahlin Ryan).after each session. They’re casting this mid-30s Caucasian character as the polar opposite of Vic Mackey and have eyed this character as a potential love interest for Corrine. Willem Quigley: In his 30s, Quigley is a Young Turk on the rise. He's with the Treasury Department, and been following the Armenian money laundering scam. Made aware that Dutch and Claudette are working on the same case, he’s what comes when the pair request Federal help. Bright, articulate and “very willing to be helpful” (obviously, since it will benefit him as well to solve this case), Quigley eventually finds that his hands are tied when none of the principals in the case – including the Greek government – will cooperate. This character is described as “offbeat for a Fed guy,” finding creativity in his job, and should be a credible threat to the Strike Team. The character is also supposed to be “fun at the same time.” Jesse: This Latino character has been knocked unconscious when a truck he's driving full of ammunition is sideswiped in a chase and the bullets start firing after his lit cigarette ignites them. Later, under questioning, it's revealed that Jesse, an out of work concrete mixer in his 40s, is the father of a notorious gang leader, though he denies his son had anything to do with a van full of stolen ammunition. The producers are looking for someone who can speak fluent Spanish. Diagur: In his late teens, Jesse's son is a street punk and one of the leaders of a local gang called the Byz Lats. Full of attitude, he refuses to cooperate with Vic when questioned about arming his crew. He’s thrust into a leadership position early on and should be a major part of the third season. In the second episode of the season, “Blood & Water” (#302), a new character named Garza has hustled himself a shipment of 36 MP5 army rifles, ready to sell them to the highest bidder -- or so he claims. Willing to cut a deal with Vic, who's posing as an Aryan skinhead, Garza pulls a fast double-cross and waltzes off with both the guns and $100,000 of Vic's buy money. Having gven a kick in the balls to both Vic and Shane, Garza is the target of Vic's highly focused sense of revenge, and he has no idea that Vic has coaxed Diagur, his second in command, into setting him up. In the end, he winds up getting his balls kicked up into his throat, courtesy of Vic Mackey's rough justice.

It's a series of parodies of "Behind the Music" done by the same guys who did all of those "Metallica Vs Napster web-shorts. They aired on the internet before Much Music USA, about two years ago, made a deal with the creators to package the webtoons into a 30 Minute block of programming called "The Big Suck Weekend". They are pretty funny and disturbing (with the N'Sync episode being extremely disturbing do to the Johnny Got His Gun homage they do, complete with them using the movie dialogue from when the doctors realise that Timothy Bottoms is using morse code to try and communicate with them in their homage)....

Not to mention him telling people they can't live without him and that they need his sorry sack of shit pressence on the show, which was a clear sign IMHO that HHH isn't too happy with his hiatus and knows that everyone will be living it up until the day he comes back and fucks everything up again like he did in Jan 2002....

It appears that this past Monday's RAW was the last appearance Triple H will make for awhile. He has decided to take time off from WWE to film his role in Blade: Trinity and prepare for his wedding with Stephanie McMahon. Interestingly enough, Triple H is advertised for many upcoming house shows, meaning WWE will likely have to pull the man they have built up for so long as RAW's biggest star.

The thing about Black Sabbath's cover art for "Paranoid" is that it was designed under the idea that the album would be called "War Pigs". The title was changed at the 11th hour do to the recording of Paranoid, which was made the title of the album at the last minute...

Taken from the Micah Wright Forum, the number #1 message board for comic talk and radical left-wing politics on Delphi: http://forums.delphiforums.com/micahwright...ges/?msg=2769.1 The following information was taken from an "Ain't it Cool News" talkback regarding the rumored release of the original Star Wars Trilogy on DVD. This information should definitely be considered only a rumor, as it's source is rather suspect. Nevertheless, it does make for an interesting read as some of the changes do make a lot of sense. Either the author is legit or has a lot of time on his hands. Whatever the case, it will be interesting to see what further changes, if any, will be made to the Original Trilogy once it finally comes to DVD. quote: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Episode IV: A New Hope 01. The Imperial March has been added to Darth Vader's first appearance on Princess Leia's ship. 02. When Obi-Wan is talking to Luke about his father Anakin's Theme plays in the background and then it turns into the Imperial March as he talks about Vader. 03. The lightsaber effects have been redone and the frame jumps of lightsabers being turned on has been removed. 04. There's a new scene which has been shot during the filming of Episode III in which the Emperor dissolves the Senate. 05. In the Cantina, the Duros(green aliens guys) have been replaced with Neimoidians and some aliens from the prequels have been added. 06. The bleeding arm on the floor in the Cantina has been replaced with a non-bleeding arm because it's now canon that lightsabers cauterize wounds. 07. The original shooting scene between Han and Greedo has been restored. 08. Jabba the Hutt has been given a makeover and Han no longer steps on his tale. 09. In place of R2 wobbling down the stairs to the Falcon's hangar, a CG R2 navigating the stairs like he does in Attack of the Clones was added. 10. The white boxes around space ships have been removed and new CG shots have been added. 11. The scene of the Falcon being chased by the two Star Destroyers was modified. The Falcon now does spinning moves, avoiding the Star Destroyers' fire. 12. When the Death Star destroys Alderaan there's a new scene of Yoda's reaction to the disturbance in the Force that is created by all those deaths and then it cuts to Obi-Wan reacting to it as well. 13. The Dianoga has gotten a CG makeover and were are now able to see more of the creature. 14. The Death Star's paneling and computers have been slightly altered to show similar displays to those in the prequels. 15. The words "Tractor Beam" with Aurebesh lettering. 16. More stormtroopers have been added to the Death Star. 17. Use Temuera Morrison's voice is being recorded for use with all the stormtroopers. 18. The Obi-Wan/Vader duel has been spruced up. It is much more epic and there is much more movement. A modified version of Duel of the Fates is being considered for the scene. 19. The Death Star plans that are taken from R2 have been updated. When the Rebels are reviewing the Death Star plans they look similar to the plans we see in Attack of the Clones. 20. The Death Star battle is much more epic with more Tie Fighters and more Rebels being blown to bits. We get to see old Naboo starfighters being used by the Rebels. 21. There's a new scene(shot during Episode III) where Darth Vader goes to Coruscant and lands his ship in the same building Count Dooku does at the end of Attack of the Clones. Except now the building is all fixed up and it is now Palpatine's palace. He meets with Palpatine to ask for forgiveness for his failure and inform him of a new potential who is strong in the Force. 22. Chewbacca now gets a medal. Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back 01. The taun-tauns are now CG. 02. The battle of Hoth is much more epic. We see the Imperial ships land on Hoth and release AT-ATs. The AT-ATs have been sped up a bit. There's a ground battle between the Rebel soldiers and stormtroopers featuring new ships and vechicles. 03. Temuera Morrison's voice is being recorded for the older Boba Fett and all the stormtroopers. 04. The white boxes around space ships have been removed. 05. The slug monster is CG. 06. Ian McDiarmid has refilmed scenes as the Emperor. The conversations between Vader and Palpatine is now longer and features a few connections to the prequels. 07. Yoda's face is now animated in CG allowing more _expression of emotions yet his movements remain the same. Also two deleted scenes featuring Yoda instructing Luke have been restored. 08. A new scene was shot in which the stormtroopers, after they capture Han, Leia and Chewie, bring Vader the box containing C-3PO in pieces. Vader orders the stormtroopers to bring the broken droid to Chewbacca's cell so that he can fix him. 09. The lightsaber effects have been redone in certain parts. 10. Luke's fall from Cloud City has been reshot against bluescreen using a stuntman. Episode VI: Return of the Jedi 01. Jabba the Hutt is now a combination of the puppet and CG. 02. The Rancor is CG and looks disgusting as ever. 03. Yoda is CG. Yoda disappears leaving his clothes behind like Obi-Wan now. 04. The ewoks are now mostly CG and there are a lot more of them. 05. The plan is to insert the love theme Across the Stars when Luke is talking with Leia about their mother. 06. Temuera Morrison's like before is now the voice for Boba Fett and all the stormtroopers. 07. In the battle of Endor there are thousands of Ewoks and they are more vicious than there midgets-in-suits counterparts. More bit the dust now. 08. White boxes around ships removed. 09. The black blotches around Palpatine's face are gone. 10. Some of the lightsaber effects have been redone. The shadows that the lightsabers made on the floor are gone. 11. During Anakin's death scene it starts with a sad rendition of the Imperial March and slowly evolves into Anakin's Theme. 12. Sebastion Shaw who played Anakin when he was unmasked has been replaced with Hayden Christenson in make-up to make him look older. Anakin has much more dialogue. He apologizes for the destruction he caused, he thanks his son for turning him back to the light, he tells his son to rebuild the Jedi and he says he loves him and his sister. Just before he dies he says, "It is finished...". 13. We see more planets celebrating at the end of the movie. We see an aged Jar Jar, who is now the leader of the Gungans, on Naboo celebrating with the people of Naboo and the Gungans. We see an old Watto, who is now unable to fly, sitting in a hover chair cheering on Tatooine. During these scenes Across the Stars plays transitioning to the victory celebration music at the Ewok tree village. 14. Anakin's spirit is now played by Hayden Christenson with make-up to make him look his age. He looks on proudly at his son Luke with the spirit of Padme by his side.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=1621690 If it was a regular player and not one of the league's crown jewels, Kobe would be suspended indefinately and kicked off his team. But since it's Kobe fucking Bryant he gets treated like a prized poodle and gets special treatment.....

HHH is more of a "You won't have Nixon to kick around anymore" speech type person personally....
-
Given tonight's promo by HHH about him leaving out of spite do to how how everyone hates him and doesn't want him around, how long will it be until WWE actually have him go away? Or should we expect weekly promos by HHH where he promises to punish everyone by going away and making people realize how much they need him to kill off the Raw roster every week but never really going away?
-
You think Vince might make HHH job to Rock in order to make Rock happy and more willing to return to wrestling for a longer period of time than usual?
-
CJ was introduced as a heel but was treated like a face upon his debut by the fans, not the WWE braintrust. It would not be until the first couple of months of 2000 that the WWE decided to listen to the fans and turn Jericho face. And this is evidenced by...? HHH has long been jealous of Rock and Austin and their successes and honestly feels that they stole the God-Push to ICON-Level Superstar that should have been his. So by the time that he was able to get Vince to make him his personal pet project, CJ comes along and without putting much effort into it, gets a bigger reaction than HHH ever got in his life. So naturally HHH is paranoid that he's going to be usurped again and this time decides to engage in a pre-emptive strike against CJ and bury him dead before CJ has any momentum that would let him leapfrog over HHH in the WWE pecking order....
-
Jericho probably won't do it because it will end with him jobbing and he'll be wiser after the debacle that was the build-up to his '02 WM feud with HHH. Rock is a possibility and I can see him using it as a way to fuck over HHH and get back at him for the Booker T/Hurricane incident from earlier this year and demand that HHH job, which HHH will never agree to....
