  1. Gee, ignoring it worked so well that our planes were hijacked and used to murder 3,000 plus people and cause mass chaos. Moral obligations as world superpower aside, they struck US first. Staying out doesn't work. As you said, they hate us and will continue to kill us, so we need to get them first, terrorists and those that harbor them alike...

    WWE 24/7

Right, but on Comcast and many others, not only do we have the regular "real time" premium channels (and their many varieties), but On Demand in a addition. Basically you get free HBO on Demand with an HBO subscription, free Showtime on demand with Showtime subscription, etc., etc. There are also several categories of free On Demand programming mostly educational and BBC programming that is free to all digital cable customers. Hopefully your system will be updated soon. Where is Mr. "Comcast" Rant when you need him anyway?

For those that don't have On Demand with digital cable, let me explain how it works, because I do. You subscribe on a monthly basis, say HBO. You pay 9.99 a month. Every week new programming is added and categorized into sections (movies/specials/series/etc.) and are accessed from an on screen menu. You can then choose to play any program you choose and in fact can pause it and rewind it and fast forward it just like a video (or Tivo). You can view the show as many times as you want (eventually they're taken out to rotate new shows in, hence the 20 hours of new programming a week). You can tape anything you want to your VCR though, so you can keep any show you want before they take it off. So, basically you'd pay a fee per month which gives you access to the progamming which can be accessed as an on screen video library (like PPV only you wouldn't have to pay per show), and you can choose to watch and rewatch whatever you like as long as you're a subscriber. It's really cool, and probably the best reason to get digital cable right now. Does that make it clear?

  6. from http://www.us-israel.org/jsource/myths/index.html Just go to the site, pretty much every argument against Israel is refuted with facts, history and common sense. http://www.us-israel.org/jsource/myths/index.html
  7. Orton: Hey, Hunter, he's doing the impression of you kissing Mcmahon's ass again... HHH: Just ignore him and he'll stop. Flair: smooch, smooch
  8. All I can say is I am SHOCKED that John Cena was not moved to RAW. I was pretty sure they would use this to get him on the live show which would work better for his gimmick and they could get him off network TV and not worry about cencoring him. Maybe a trade of Cena for Orton is worked out...then Orton could join HHH and the IC/US titles would switch shows...
  9. He caught the guy doing it, and he's rotting in jail. That's not effective? Again he treated it like a law enforcement issue, the actual perpetrator was jailed but the larger group of those just like him remained at large and planning larger attacks. We need to stay on offense and destroy the whole infrastructure of terroism, not just cherry pick after the fact. As opposed to Bush's plan of attacking a country that is not responsible for the attacks against the U.S.? I'd rather attack first than sit back and wait for it, yes.
  10. And incredibly incompetent. And the country agreed too. Regan crushed him in the 80 election despite Carter being an incumbent. I guess insane inflation, gas shortages and American hostages were too much to take. But, yeah he's a nice guy who builds houses for poor people, but that doesn't excuse the fact that he's possibly the most incompetent and ineffective president of all time.
  11. Its hard to keep a job or maintain a strong economy when terrorist attacks are being plotted and implemented...
  12. Good news, Hamas and their "spiritual leaders" can rot in hell. And to those who don't agree that Hamas and the vast majority of Palestinians want nothing less than the murder of Jews and the destruction of Israel are just naive. The only bad part about this is these monkeys (thanks Mike!) take a targeted assasination of a terrorist leader and use it to kill dozens upon dozens of citizens, usually children on school busses, cafes and other public places and then usually plant secondary bombs to kill off the rescue workers after the fact. As mentioned earlier in the thread, Israel releases hundreds of convicted Palestinians so they could get 2 live Israeli captive and 2 bodies of dead ones returned. Many of those released will now be part of the inevitable forthcoming wave of suicide/homicide attacks. What a hopeless situation. Get that wall built...

  14. Thanks for the headsup! Its on ESPN2 actually, and it looks like its a marathon. This is my first time watching K-1. It's a little boring compared to UFC/Pride, because they get knocked down and then they get back up, its not much different than boxing. Anyone want to give me a quick summary of the rules? Seems like there's a point system... EDIT: Sapp vs. Hoost is definitely NOT boring! Holy Crap, these 2 are just beating the shit out of each other. Sapp is indeed a scary, scary man. Sapp just won by stoppage. What event am I watching anyway? Does ESPN2 show K-1 often?
  15. I kind of like how every 4 weeks TNA just throws out these unknown names. It's like watching an indy show. Anybody have info on these guys?
  16. Well, they did sign exclusive contracts to TNA which means they are bound to TNA and are only able to work for ROH with TNA's blessing. It doesn't sound like anything will be made of it now, but if the FSN TV deal does go down, I expect the order will go down (and again it's within the company's rights since the talent signed contracts.) Maybe TNA would give them all pay raises as a result of the TV deal...
  17. Osama Bin Laden deserves a fair trial before we convict him...
  18. The funny thing about Flair's title reigns, is the real total, according to matches documented by www.wrestling-titles.com is 20. Now, 1 is unrecognized, so that bumps it down to 19, and one was kind of a phantom reign during WCW under Russo, so if you don't count that, it's down to 18. To get 16, WWE would actually be ignoring their own title, as Flair's 2 reigns as WWF champion added to his 16 "recognized: NWA/WCW reigns makes 18. 20 total. You would think they would call him a 20 time champion since thats so much more prolific sounding that 16. Anyway, here is the proof: NWA Dusty Rhodes [2] 81/06/21 Atlanta, GA Ric Flair 81/09/17 Kansas City, MO Wrestles to a double count-out against WWF Heavyweight champion Bob Backlund on 82/07/04 in Atlanta, GA; around 82 in DOMINICAN REPUBLIC, Flair allows himself to be pinned by Jack Veneno to avoid the riot from the audience, but the title is returned to Flair; Midnight Rider (Dusty Rhodes under mask) defeats Flair on 83/02/09 in Miami, FL but returns the belt when asked to indentify himself by NWA president Bob Geigel. Carlos Colon # 83/01/06 San Juan, PR Ric Flair # 83/01/23 # Unofficial or disputable claims. These are usually matches that certainly took place, but where there is doubt that the wrestler shown should be recognized as a true title holder. 19. Did I miss something, or is Stephanie no longer head of creative? He was being facetious, hence the sarcastic comment "remember when that happened?"
  20. Here's Meltzer's complete post (I've bolded my favorite part): There are two very different types of title reigns and to lump them together is not understanding belts. First off, all the belts except the two big ones are mid-card belts. Is Undertaker going to win the U.S. title this year? When HHH was slated to win the IC title, he turned it down and got a second world title made. Saying Jericho is getting pushed and citing his IC title reigns, or that Benoit was pushed for the same reason, means nothing. There are different types of world champions. When Jericho had the undisputed title, there were no plans for him as champion except losing to HHH at Mania. Plans for a year were HHH wins title at Mania. Jericho, for better or worse, was as much as champion as Ron Garvin, not Ric Flair, and there is a gigantic difference. Billy Graham was the perfect example of a super successful Ron Garvin, in that he did incredible business as a guy set up to lose from the start to Backlund. The business didn't matter because Vince Sr. only viewed babyfaces as real champs, but Bruno wanted out and Backlund wasn't ready, so he needed 10 months out of Graham to get Backlund ready. Graham's long run didn't come because he was drawing well. It was because it was Sr.'s time frame of when he'd have Backlund ready. Jericho was a good wrestler to put over the guy being groomed. Him getting the belt was never like when Austin beat Michaels, which really was a changing of the guard. When Brock Lesnar won the title, they pushed him as champion and there was no plan to take it from him. His loss to Show came only because Hogan walked out of a scheduled program and they panicked and turned Lesnar face, and felt as a face, they needed to take the belt from him. Before he lost it, he knew he was getting it back at Mania. Neither Show nor Angle were going to have long reigns no matter how business was. When he lost it to Guerrero, it was completely different, and he didn't handle it well. There is no set plan that on this day Guerrero loses the belt. He's being groomed to be a real champion, which is more of an issue the fans forced than a decision the company made. When Bill Goldberg won the title, the decision had already been made HHH gets it back on the day he wants it back. If business caught on fire, it wouldn't have mattered, not that it was going to because the damage had been done. HHH didn't put Goldberg or Benoit over out of selflessness. His goal is to break Flair's record, and he wasn't sacrificing the belt, he was lengthening his tenure on top. To break Flair's record, he has to lose the title at least 16 times. He's doing a movie soon so there is no point in him keeping it right now. The point is, if Benoit was really winning the title as the top star, they wouldn't have already decided the date and person he was losing it to before he ever won it. It's great for him he got his moment. It's not a business mistake because of Benoit's flaws, because Benoit is not in the position of the guy they are grooming to carry anything. That's still HHH's spot. If HHH had done that job and then known he was moving to the mid-cards, he'd have done something selflessness. He was just adding another number to his eventual record and doing his job the best way possible, which was doing his part to keep the belt over (by losing instead of Shawn, which would have sabotaged Benoit) and having a great match. This isn't a knock on him or praising him other than he had a great match at Wrestlemania working with two of the best wrestlers in history, and he carried his end. I think he's at times been a great wrestler and he's very smart, although if he was as smart as he thinks, he'd have figured out why business was down. He's buried people with Vince constantly and the reason they had to bring Benoit is was because he'd buried everyone else to where they couldn't mean anything challenging him. The idea that he does what is told is funny, because the ideas for him, come from him. Who gives the head writer ideas for HHH, the guy who thinks about HHH 24 hours a day and that she's married to, or some writer in a revolving door staff? And what writer, knowing it's a revolving door, is going to even suggest it's time, when it was, for HHH to be moved out of the top spot or not have so much promo time? The idea Vince will put business in front of family is best exemplified by, when creative went to hell, he got rid of the head of creative even though it was his daughter. Remember when that happened? Business and family to him are the same. It's a business that defines his family and is a business of and for his family. HHH is his family.
  21. I'd rather see Rock as president. State of the Union addresses would NEVER be boring again. And now, the 2008 State of The Union... Finally....The Rock has come BACK...to Congress! You know, the people, they've been asking The President< President Johnson, what do you think about Iraq's weapons of mass destruction? Well, the President says this, Saddam Hussein, you can take your weapons of mass destruction, shine them up real nice and stick 'em straight up your candy ass! Congress applauds starts chanting "Johnson, Johnson..." Oh, yeah, oh yeah! Nancy Pelosi! President Johnson sees you staring at the people's strudel! No no no! See, because I'm the fund raising, trail blazin, tax cuttin, never bicker, signed more laws than Ted Kennedy's downed liquor! Congree roars with laughter .....If you smelllllllll what The President of The United States....isssss cooking! raises eyebrow, remixed "Hail to the Chief" with "The Rock Says" mixed in plays
  22. I agree, it makes it seem as if he's been possesed again instead of changing his clothes and wearing makeup. It's actually much more creepy in a way that he's dressed like bikerTaker yet acts like the old Undertaker...
  23. Gotta love Heyman screaming "HELP! HELP!"
