  1. Even Christy Hemme will get more time than the cruiserweights... Well better find a new hobby. You'll be lucky if any crusiers GET a match on Mania, let alone how long it lasts...
  2. They'll have it up on the website with the others soon enough...
  3. Intense. These commercials have been great. I wonder how many more they've got? Hope they'll be on the DVD...
  4. Piper is SO taking a stunner as his receipt for his comments in 03. And he'll do it too!
  5. Oh yeah!
  6. That would seem perfect if they wanted to do the celebrity thing every year. They'd have the entire WMI crew...
  7. Did anyone notice that it's HULK Hogan again? Did they work out a deal with Marvel Comics?
  8. See, this is why it's best to try to get everyone together at one time, so it can all get done in one night, but I guess if not everyone is avaliable it's tough...
  9. Not to hijack this, but I can't believe someone didn't keep Beltran as a keeper. Shocked.
  10. Just watched it. Decent show with some fun knockouts and squashes but nothing too important. Skippable but fun if you're an MMA fan. What a sickening example of politics the Rampage/Ninja decision was. The announcers were as speechless as I was. Rampage didn't even want the trophy, and Rua was in tears. They could have put him in the tournament too if they wanted to, but Rampage was just sluggish that fight and was basically controlled by Ninja the whole fight (I mean who else has Slammed Rampage before!?). Just ridiculous. Rogerio/Overheem was kind of boring to me, but Im sure to those who like long technical fights, they'll find it interesting. Cro Cop scored a decisive knockout over Coleman and showed some mad skills with the takedown defense. Just really good sprawl. Bring on Fedor! Otherwise, Vovchanchyn's knockout was sick and he looked in ripped shape, Leko is still Pride's most hilarious jobber just getting pounded to death. The Tamura/Machmud fight was hilarious. The dude gets kicked in the balls, collpases in pain, is out for like minutes, comes back out, keeps going back and forth between quitting and staying in and then finally his corner turns in the towel. Kharitonov has to be next on the list for Fedor/Cro Cop. Great knockout on Choi Mu Bae. He's the real deal. And Shogun was like a video game version of Wanderlei Silva jumping and stomping around like that. I want to see him again (and it looks like it will be vs. Rampage).
  11. Ok, who posted the exploding head after the "it's not real" explanation? I fell out of my chair laughing...
  12. Im trying to get someone to bring up Jeff's drug problems as the reason for his firing.
  13. lol Hardyz4Life wrote: What's going on? They're not breaking up are they? I don't know what I'd do if that were to happen. I think I might kill myself! Shocked I'm sure they don't want anyone doing that. Last thing they need is more grief. Just calm down lol. I said before, No one really knows. It's all really speculation at this point. Don't believe too much of what you read. Unless it comes from Matt or Amy, I'm not believing any of it. _________________ EDIT: Oh, and love me suggesting Matt should be in a 3 way dance with Batista and HHH in the main event at Mania and getting serious responses about how its a great idea and would be awesome!
  14. Ok, Im Hardyz4Life. I love my stupid card sig.
  15. lol, I love your posts, Nocal. I think I might sign up too, but to go a different route, will act like a total Hardy/Lita fanboy who is totally ignorant and buys the BS as true. Let me set up an account and find some stupid pictures for a sig...
  16. Well, let's hope he lives up to the hype. Penn was one of the prospects the O's refused to deal to Oakland for Tim Hudson...
  17. Jesus, we're going to have 30 different topics?! About 2/3 for teams none of us really follow. Well, ok I'll play along and try to contribute to each thread too by posting projected starters with help from CBS sportsline! PROJECTED LINEUP 1. Jose Cruz Jr. CF 2. Craig Counsell 2B 3. Luis Gonzalez LF 4. Troy Glaus 3B 5. Shawn Green RF 6. Chad Tracy 1B 7. Koyie Hill C 8. Royce Clayton SS Rotation 1. R. Ortiz 2. B. Webb 3. J. Vazquez 4. S. Estes 5. M. Gosling Troy Glaus's contract was a big risk, and I look for him to have an injury. Otherwise, it's a decent lineup with Shawn Green and Luis Gonzalez (aging) and a good prospect in Koyie Hill. I don't know about Cruz as a leadoff guy though. Vazquez is good, and I'm surpised they didn't try to trade him (to Baltimore, preferably!) but he isn't Randy Johnson. Russ Ortiz and his inflated ERA aren't going to do them that good either. I don't know, it doesn't look like a bad team and they're not in a paticularly tough division but I don't see that big a turnaround from their disastorous 2004. I'll predict 4th place.
  18. Ehem, my post above... I don't think it's as good as the old one, but I remember getting the link from somewhere, and bookmarked it, so there you go...

  20. Of course! He was mainly a centerfielder for his whole career. In the mid 90s they shifted him to left field and then he sort of shifted between all 3 outfield positions before being shifted to an awful DH and being released...
  21. It's a real shame that Pittsburgh has such a horrible team and apathetic fans (go hand in hand?) because I visited their stadium last year and it was easily the nicest major league stadium I have ever seen. Just beautiful in every way and a wonderful place to watch a baseball game (and this is from someone who has attended Camden Yards for the past 13 years!). On the Nats uniforms, I thought the home jerseys look too much like Anaheims and the roads like San Fransisco. The cursive W hats are ok, it's a nod to all the old Senators fans. The team logo is just awful though and will have to be changed in a year or 2 with new ownership. It looks like one of those major league baseball all star game logos or something. I agree I like the spring training/warmup uniforms and hats. Hopefully they use them as alternates too. Hey, I still bleed black and orange, but baseball is baseball, the more the better, and I'm excited to have a National League team close by to follow too!
  22. Ok, 12 hours sounds good, although this could go on for weeks! Anyway, please change my team name to Rockbirds, so there's no confusion as that's what it is in the league now. Ok, thanks.
  23. Pittsburgh, Florida and Milwaukee in the NL and Kansas City, Toronto, Tampa Bay, Cleveland and Detroit in the AL are all easy picks. The Nats will have packed houses almost every night. I'm not saying it won't wear off after a year or 2 of losing, but there is genuine excitment and a rush to get season tickets around here....

    Fozzy

From what I've heard, the first album is a fun collection of (mostly) cover songs, that's just fun to listen to. It's Jericho and his friends blasting out some 80s classics in all their excess and glory. The second album is really excellent I think. They put on more original songs to go with the covers, polished their sound and wrote songs in the same "metal style" and they sound really good. I agree, To Kill A Stranger is an EXCELLENT song. With the Fire is good too. That's not to say anything about the awesome covers like Balls to the Wall or Where Eagles Dare. But on the 3rd album, its like they decided they wanted to be a "real" band and get MTV and pop radio play and totally compromised their sound and style. They went from a metal band to a radio rock/nu metal kind of band. I mean, all the "metal" structure that made the band so much fun was gone in order to accomodate the same homogenous radio friendly rock style that sounds like every other nameless band WWE uses for their PPV themes! Which is a shame, because the album apparently bombed big time. I hope this doesn't mean they don't put out another album, but at least grounds Jericho, Ward, etc. to realise they had a niche sound and audience that they were suited for, but are mediocre as a regular pop band trying to get airtime. By your one post, and screen name, I can venture to guess you're affiliated with Fozzy in some way and trying to spread promotion for the record, so if you do know Jericho or any of the band, please pass along that critique.
  25. Czech, as someone from the area, I can tell you, you will be wrong, at least for the first few years. The DC metropolitan area IS excited about having a baseball team they can call their "own", and they sold huge amounts of season ticket packages from the start of their sale. Merchandise is flying off the shelves too. They will not finish last in attendence at all. I agree though, once everyone realises how bad the team is, they'll either go back to the O's or just stop caring at all (with the exception of the Allmighty Holy Redskins who get 24/7 news covergae whenever the coach brushes his teeth, with the Wizards and Caps, the fans are really fair weather. When the team does well, the fans come out, if not, they stay home). Here's a nice little article from the Washington Post:
