  1. It's because he doesn't get it.
  2. Um, I think you're missing the point (which is not uncommon from you). The whole point is a rebuttle to all the people that like to scream BUSH RUSHED TO WAR, IRAQ WAS BUSHES AGENDA FROM THE START, BLAH BLAH BLAH, to show that, hey, Bill Clinton had the EXACT same policy against Iraq, had the same intellgience, etc. Bush just took the initiative after 9/11 to do something about it.
  3. Yikes, after reading some of those highlights, if that's true, O'reilly is a dirty man, and it would really kill his credibility, especially as a guy he claims kids should look up to for appropriate behavior or whatever. I hope it's not true. The fact that she tried to extort money from him to keep it quiet, and he called her bluff is very interesting. Tonight's Oreilly factor should be VERY interesting. Now Al Franken will never shutup...
  4. I will now celebrate with a short collage of Miggy greatness... Ok, carry on!
  5. You're welcome to PM me!
  6. Ok, that makes sense. So is there anything I can do about it? I tried emailing the site once and got no response. Am I basically SOL?
  7. Ok, I figure someone around here would know what the problem is, and maybe even how to correct it. The site is www.realgm.com/boards where I would often read the Wizards message board. I very rarely posted, certainly nothing that would get me banned. Whenever I try to access any of the boards, I get this message: Now, I am currently on a high speed network connection at my college. I'm sure that has something to do with it, because when I am at home on my own connection, I have no problem signing in, accesing the board, etc. like usual, but when I try from school, I get the banned message. So, can anyone clue me in on why this is happening, and for bonus points how I can correct it?
  8. Maybe he's Jewish... -=Mike Dayton?
  9. MELVIN > AROD. 'Nuff said.
  10. So I guess we can put this one up there with the "I'm sure you love your gay daughter" comment to Dick Cheney on the ever growing list of patronizingly brazen and obnoxious trial lawyer quotes made by John Edwards during this campaign.
  11. Well, I emailed Comcast: And here's the response I got: What a bunch of bullshit....
  12. When will Comcast in the DC area get this?
  13. I really hope Vlad doesn't win the MVP for real or else I might go into further depression thinking about what could have been in Baltimore. My picks: AL MVP - Manny Ramirez NL MVP - Barry Bonds AL Cy - Johan Santana NL Cy - Roger Clemens AL RoY - Bobby Crosby NL RoY - Jason Bay AL MoY - Buck Showalter NL MoY - Bobby Cox
  14. My Orioles analysis so far: It's nice to see Javy up there at #2 (no doubt Irod is tops), as no one expected him to belt 40+ again but his average was above .300 all year long and he seemed to always deliver big hits in RBI situations. Plus he was asked to catch the most he has in his entire career and stayed healthy the whole year and never went into a deep slump. Very happy with him. I agree with Palmeiro being low down on the 1B list. To put it nicely, he bombed this year, until the very last month, when he realized "hmmm...I want to sign a new contract next year" and started belting the ball again and actually brought his numbers up to respectability, but for the majority of the year he looked a step slow and went through an almost 2 month period where he seemed to not a hit a homerun. Brian Roberts is right in the middle of the list, but I would advocate him being higher, as he really broke out this year as an elite leadoff hitter. He set the team record with 50 doubles, had numerous multihit games, and was amongst the leaders in the first half in stolen bases in the league. His defense was also superb, as him and Miguel Tejada turned numerous smooth double plays. Anxiously awaiting your shortstop rankings for obvious reasons!
  15. So if Kerry and Mini Me get elected, when they're up for re-election can the Republicans use Edwards' words as a broken campaign promise, if in fact cripples DON'T walk again in the next 4 years? I guess, you can call it a false claim anyway, on the account of Reeves being dead and all, but we've covered that. Maybe, Kerry could promise to bring back the dead, and run with John Edwards. No, the other John Edwards:
  16. So this Weapons Expector, is he like The Weapons Fairy or something, he goes around planting missiles under the pillows of naughty dictators at night?
  17. I don't know if this has been posted elsewhere yet, if it has don't blame me because I only really check this folder. Otherwise, from the people who brought you "This Land" is "It's Good To Be In DC". I think the liberal weiners and right wing nutjobs of this folder can enjoy it equally: http://jibjab.com/
  18. So, wait, is this actually avaliable anywhere yet? Does anyone actually have it as an option on their digital cable?
  19. Friendly reminder to those in the Philadelphia area that IMPACT! airs tonight at 2am.
  20. Ironically they're all jewish. Afghanis, for the most part, have migrated Israelites in their lineage. No...they're Muslim, actually. That's their religion. Thanks for playing.

Yeah they added the second Philly show after the first one sold out so quickly. I thougt going to 3 shows in 4 days might be stretching it a bit And you call yourself a Metallica fan. Right now, Lars would be weaping...OPENINGLY CRYING if he saw you type that! I give enough of my money to Lars, I'm sure he'll manage. Hell I can tell him sorry personally when I meet him in DC!

    Metallica Live

OK, bumping this, because I just received some very exciting news. I've been a Metallica Club member for several years now because I'm a big fan and I've gotten some cool stuff but in my email box arrived this today: WHOA, I did not expect to ever win one, but here it is. So, I will be going backstage before the show to meet the band and get a couple things autographed. I guess I'm basically bragging but I'm seriously excited about this.
  24. So...is Gallup still biased?
  25. Great debate. The format was a lot more comfortable, and Bush especially seemed to be feeling it a lot more. It's another close one, but I give the edge to Bush who was agressive, assetive and decisive in his answers which is exactly what he needs to be. Kerry did well, but he had some of the same problems as Bush had in the first debate with the stumbling and indecisevness especially towards the end. Biggest suprise was I think Bush won the part on Domestic issues. Bush did a tremendous job dodging loaded questions like the Patriot Act, Supreme Court Nominations and His Biggest Mistakes by spinning them to his strengths, Kerry took his tough questions like on Abortion, Stem Cells, etc. and didn't seem to know how to answet them because its like he didn't want to offend anybody. The fact that Bush is not afraid to stick to his guns, and take a stand while Kerry tries to please everyone is going to help Bush I think...
