But when does that ever work? I've always seen that as the ultimate admission of failure (creatively) when two former tag team members get back together. I don't see Bart as anything more than Velocity main event material, personally, and the same thing goes for Mideon over on Heat.
-
Those training videos are not what I had in mind. I would dig Rock-Orton, but they must harp on the fact that both are 3rd generation superstars and the parallels between each of their careers once Orton finally does break away from Evolution.

From WWE.com ... If only for a nostalgiac trip, I wouldn't mind seeing Mideon and Bart Gunn return. Hell, with the Rumble coming up, they could always use them to bring back the "Royal Rumble Return" teasers for this year. Although, maybe it would be best to make those more tongue-in-cheek since, to me, Mideon and Bart Gunn are not on the same level as Goldust, Val Venis, or Curt Hennig.

This plot development makes the most sense, so I hope this is the route they are going. I would add a JR sitdown interview with Foley, possibly at home with his wife and kids. Also, I would air some segments of Foley training for the match ala Vince-Shane (although these should be much more serious in nature). My only question is who wins? I'd personally book Foley to win - especially if this is going to happen at Wrestlemania. I realize WWE is high on Orton, and needs to build new stars, but just being involved in the feud will elevate him enormously. Go ahead and feed Orton some more "legends" that work backstage in the weeks leading up to it, but Foley is the perfect guy to put an end to the streak. At the risk of stating the obvious, he's not your typical professional wrestler. He is a scruffy, out of shape, aging man that wrestles in his street clothes ... which makes him the perfect guy for the average joe to get behind and take interest in seeing the arrogant pretty boy that is Randy Orton go down. If they are not going to let Foley end the streak, they damn well better have a better choice in mind. I am not talking about Triple H either.

I disagree. From a TV perspective, the Foley/Orton segment was well placed. The last image we see as fans is crucial because, theoretically, that is what we will remember when deciding whether to tune in the next week (or in two weeks, in this case). If you put that segment in the middle of the show, then that would suggest RAW goes off the air with the Christian/Jericho saga. While that angle is admittedly pretty good, I still have a greater emotional attachment to Foley, and thus want to see what happens to him first and foremost. I'd like to think the majority of the viewing audience would agree. I hope that made some sense. I do see the other side, but as long as they sent out some live entertainment after the cameras stopped rolling, I don't think the crowd would be all that upset.

As a matter of fact, yes. Thesmokinggun.com has it.

That actually sounds pretty fun. I'm assuming only one man has to be pinned in order for the team to be eliminated. Is that correct?

I would prefer The Rock wrestle full time rather than make movies, but I'll still take what I can get. Besides, these one shot deals go a long way in giving RAW a little bit of that "anything can happen" feeling it once had. I suppose that is what keeps I, and the rest of the board, from writing off the program completely. I think he and Foley made La Resistance look like a million bucks last night too. Dupree and Conway went toe-to-toe with them and only managed to lose the fight when their backs were turned. I was more emotionally involved in their segment last night than anything else they've done since their debut. It's up to the WWE now to capitalize.

I quit reading after this line: There is more to life outside our little wrestling world.

I guess I just assumed it would be Orton vs. Flair at Wrestlemania. I'd like to see The Rock in something a bit more high profile.

Huge ammounts of police swarming "Neverland"...
iamsherm replied to Downhome's topic in Current Events
From Yahoo: That certainly doesn't match up with the previous stories about Michael demanding to be flown to South America. -
Good rittens to bad rubbish. I don't even think he is musically talented, but for those who do, you cannot excuse his behavior. What behavior? He hasn't been convicted of anything. Until then, save it.

Can Barry Bonds ever be liked by main stream fans?
iamsherm replied to Steve J. Rogers's topic in Sports
I don't despise Barry Bonds for ignoring the media. In fact, I don't blame him. However, I DO despise Barry Bonds for dogging it and showing off for the better part of his career. I will ALWAYS remember Bonds technique for catching fly balls, in which he would flap his glove 2 or 3 times before the ball even got to him like people actually gave a shit about some lazy fly to left. I can't stand how he watches his home runs either. You would think a guy who has hit almost 700 home runs would know what they look like. I'll admit that I'm a little biased when it comes to Bonds, because I was, and always will be, a huge fan of McGwire, but at least he earned fans respect by being a geniune, humble human being as well as one of the greatest people to ever play baseball. I can't say the same for Bonds. -
I have noticed HHH's hair thinning out for a long time now so I wouldn't be surprised to see him come out on the short end of a hair vs. hair match sometime soon. As for the weight, maybe the role he's playing in his movie called for it? Who knows. I would love to see a picture, though, seeing as I didn't order Survivor Series.

My thoughts exactly. This is the same company that had Triple H fall 50 feet in a car and portrayed Kane's car crashing straight into the side of a semi, not to mention the man also being tossed into a flaming dumpster. Neither man came away with much more than a few cuts and bruises and were back wrestling a couple weeks later. That said, I'm not too concerned for Taker's well-being.

He was complaining about his superiors at AOL-TW seeing the wrestling product as more of a cancer than something to be proud of. Yeah, I know, but I find Bischoff complaining about his superiors a little hard to swallow knowing his track record.

Eric Bischoff talking about what hell the management was like? He WAS management.

I'm guessing the page was designed for computers using the 640x480 resolution. Mine is running on 800x600 and there's a little empty space off to the right - not that big of a deal to me. My only complaint is with the ads you have to bypass every so often before you get to the content. That's annoying as hell. I did like the ad up in the right hand corner for RAW and Smackdown. You can choose which one you want to look at ... which gave me an idea. On NCAA College Football 2004 (and probably other EA games) you can choose your favorite team so that the background is of your team's logo while their fight song is played. I think, along these same lines, it would be a nice touch if the WWE could set up the site so you can choose a front page customized for the RAW or Smackdown brand that appears every time you go to the site. Just a thought. Anyways, the design looks fresh to me, which is more than I can say for their television programs these days.

You know who Randy Orton reminds me of? Mike Sanders. Why did that guy get high marks from the internet community, yet Orton can't seem to catch a break?
-
This is exactly what I was thinking. Don't forget Mark Henry on the RAW side of things, too. I just sit there thinking, where did this come from? I'm not buying it.

That reminds me. Make sure you're drinking plenty of water - as in at least 8 glasses a day. It will speed up the process. That's not to say you can't drink other, less healthier things on special occasions (i.e. alcohol, pop), but keep consumption of that to a minimum. The same goes for the foods you eat. There is no quick fix. If you want to keep the weight off, these suggestions must be implemented into your everyday routine. Because of this, it's easy to look at exercise and eating healthy as some form of punishment, but if you focus on the positive aspects (i.e. improvements in mental, emotional, and physical health as well as appearance), it's not so bad.

Starving yourself plus working out is not a good combination. Just eat healthy, balanced meals and continue to work out. Try increasing the cardio time to 20 minutes and eventually 30 minutes. Supposedly, that's when the stored fat begins to be burnt. I also read that ab exercises such as situps and crunches won't do much to get rid of the excess fat. It will strengthen your muscles underneath the fat, but you still need to do cardio to get rid of the gut.

That whole segment was weird to me. I think it had potential to be something interesting when Kane was flatlining and Shane was still babbling on and on with no remorse. I kept thinking "what an asshole" at this point and then Kane went and sat up and ruined it all. I hope Survivor Series is the end of this feud. These car crashes, flaming dumpsters, and hospital scenes are too over the top.

I've highlighted my only beef with your letter. Please don't generalize the entire WWE fanbase by saying "nobody" wants to see this or "people" don't want to watch this. Just insert "I" in there and let the ratings and attendance do the rest of the talking.
