John Cena injury / Raven lawsuit: This is a summary of items that have already been discussed, so me summarizing them further would seem pointless. Kane vs. Batista: The technical masterpiece last week reminded Mr. Alvarez of Big Show and Kane trying to have a technical match a few years ago. Apparently the reason the previous technical match between two giants happened was that Vince McMahon declared he was sick of the usual giant versus giant bullshit. He said he wanted to know "what two big monsters would do if one challenges the others technical limits". MVP: He's listed as wrestling HHH on the Mexico tour, so he MAY walk out of Unforgiven with the WWE title (or HHH might retain), but then again he might not as these line-ups always change. As was noted previously on the board due, MVP has some heat right now "for several reasons", but one of them is they're not high on his work and want him to be more like Shelton Benjamin.

Cogeco officially changed the menu name of 24/7 to "WWE Classics" today (with the channel name showing up on the guide as "WWE 24/7 Classics On Demand"). Threw me for a loop for a second.

That fall reminded of the Lita Bump from the end of 2004. I rewound this many times to confirm this, but I'm 99% sure Adamle referred to the ECW match this Sunday as the "Scrabble Match". I laughed. I also think Santino said "Honky Donkey Man", but it might have been Tonky. How can you not the love the Honk-A-Meter?

A few things with that poster: - No logos - No date - Linked from some random forum instead of wikipedia or WWEAffiliates (I list wikipedia because very often whoever uploaded the poster got it from WWEAffiliates). - Not at all in the WWEAffiliates image database. So, for now, I'm going to say it's not the actual poster. At the very least, not the final poster.

I was going to post that in the VC thread earlier, but apparently that hasn't been used since May and I didn't want to be a thread bumper. The significance of Mario RPG's VC release it that it's North American VC title #250.

I am absolutely fine with people discussing random notes about WWE's past or comparing old events to relevance in the modern day (like the Undertaker/Mania discussion that broke out in the August CTDWAT thread). Coming up with some sort of properly named thread with well defined parameters was (still is, I guess) something I had brewing in my mind. Might as well mention another new idea (which is basically an old idea re-visited): WON notes are coming back tomorrow. Often times, especially now that it's online, I'll see someone randomly copy a news tidbit from F4W or WON and, because they don't think it's worth a thread, discuss it here. The new plan is to summarize some news bits from both newsletters (but no C&P theft jobs here) in a thread, titled something like "Weekly F4W and WON Notes - September 1, 2008". Ditto TNA folder. Someone who isn't me can feel free to do so for the Indy scene (or even WWE and TNA if I'm slow to get it). General Wrestling will get summarized notes from the historical WON series.

Some quick research shows he won back to back matches against Masters on September 4 and 11, 2006, and on the 25th Carlito and Super Crazy defeated Orton and Masters in a tag match. However, there was a 6 person IC title match on the 18th that he didn't win (but didn't lose), so the streak may be in question!

Lest we forget his 3 in a row streak against Chris Masters! I think it was 3 matches, anyway.
