I mean, I want it to go 6 games and all to give the Tigers a home game win, but I wish they didn't need to start the series like this. Side note: I've seen it many times previously, but it has to be said the Star Trek DirecTV commercial is excellent.
-
I just hope DX vs Edge/Orton doesn't become the usual Buried Alive affair, killing off Edge's WM ME potential.
-
So I hear the DS doubles as a controller for some Pokemon game. Interesting.

Sadly, it's still the best Superman game to date, although I seem to recall playing a co-op arcade game when I was a kid that seemed decent enough.
-
Also note that November 2nd is the next episode scheduled, meaning no episode this Thursday.

http://www.wwe.com/play/sweepstakes/guessthematch11/ If you can't figure it out, it's McMahon vs Gowan from Vengeance 03. Also on WWE.com Heat, Rock vs Hurricane from 2003.

Superman is in the game. By video game law, it has to suck.

Awesome that The Soup still exists. It seems to have been dropped off of Star! here in Canada, which is a shame since I thought it was great.

I MIGHT be going to this show... but probably not. It's amazing how powerful hype is since on paper, this is (to me) one of the least interesting TNA PPV line-ups in some time (not counting the fact they basically threw the September show out there while all their eggs were in the BFG basket). Sting vs Jarrett is not interesting as a match. Angle is a cool factor, but that doesn't make the in-ring match any better. A battle royal to bury the X-Division under Nash's comedy is not interesting to me (although I'm a mark for bad wrestling comedy... but I have another company to watch for that). Anytime I have to see the James Gang, AMW, and Team 3D near each other, I am not interested. Saying all this, I found myself trying to find a bar that would be showing the PPV and Game 2 of the World Series in the same room. Normally I would go to D'amore's bar here in Windsor, but I've been under the impression the people involved will all be in Michigan. This was somewhat confirmed when a friend called today to tell me he ended upgetting a free ticket from his friend (someone involved with BCW). I told him I wanted to go, since him having a ticket must mean he has transportation (yeah, we don't have cars... weak) to Michigan and I would pay at the door for a ticket. Unfortunatley it looks like the car is already overloaded (6 people for a five seater and I would be 7), but in the off chance someone else in that group drives and splits the party up, I'm in. I'm not holding my breath, and really, I think I'd rather just watch Game 2, but it would be a fun expeirence to go to a TNA show - especially if I can get the Michigan crowd to chant "Orlando sucks". Sue me, I hate those bastards at times.

Good stuff in that episode. Dwight admitting Michael hurts his feelings was a nie touch. Though I highly doubt there is any relation, Ryan sitting in the farmhouse while Dwight was talking about fear (complete with casket!) reminded me of the Jake Roberts / Ultimate Warrior deal. I'm not quite sure I caught the end of Michael's story with Pam's comment about the contracts and the huge sale - did all his time wasting Cosby impersonating that Pam (and I guess Jan) assumed was him doing nothing result in a huge sale, or did the sugar crash result in him not signing the documents and pretty much wasting his day? I recall him taking the contract with him on the way out, so I assume he redeemed himself.

The only result I question is Punk vs. Orton, the rest seem fine based on the match-up. None of it is relevant anyway, though.

ECW VS. RAW INTER-PROMOTIONAL MATCHES: 10/19 WWE RESULTS FROM BUDOKAN HALL by Mike from Yokota Air Base, Japan @ 10:50:00 AM on 10/19/2006 Quick Results: IC Champ Jeff Hardy vs. Kevin Thorne (Minus Ariel.....Dammit) Hardy wins with the Swanton Bomb. 8 Man Tag Team Match: The Spirit Squad vs. The Highlanders, Tommy Dreamer & Sandman Highlanders, Dreamer, and Sandman get the duke. Umaga vs. Balls Mahoney Umaga wins with the Samoan Spike. Mixed Tag Team Match: Carlito & Maria vs. Mike Knox & Kelly Kelly Carlito & Maria win when Carlito hits the backcracker on Knox. Post match: Knox starts to abuse Kelly by pulling her hair and yelling at her, then Carlito makes the save by spitting an apple into his face. He then proceeds to lay a kiss on Kelly before he exits. Extreme Rules Match: Johnny Nitro w/ Melina vs. Sabu Sabu wins w/ the Atomic Ariabian Facebuster through a table. Post match: In an unusual for WWE moment, the two shake hands in a show of good sportsmanship......Just like the old ECW. Randy Orton vs. CM Punk Orton wins via the RKO thus ending Punk's undefeated streak....Somehow I don't see Joey Styles mentioning that on TV Three Way Dance: Edge vs. Test vs. RVD Edge wins after RVD hits the 5 Star on Test (Edge used the spear to lay out RVD to then pin a prone Test). Post match: RVD leaves to a huge ovation accompanied by his music. Main Event Tag Team Match: DX vs. Hardcore Holly & The Big Show Pre-Match: DX does their bit, and in the middle, Big Show pokes his head out and says "Hurry Up", then HHH says "Hold On Big Show I'm cuttin' a promo here, you'll get your chance". I thought it was pretty funny. DX wins with the Sweet Chin Music/Pedigree combo on Holly Quick Notes: Biggest Pops: DX RVD Randy Orton Sabu Sandman and Dreamer Jeff Hardy Biggest Heat: Edge Kevin Thorne The Japanese fans like just about everyone Really fun show. The Japanese fans were really animated during the show. From my experience that is really unusual but it made for a fun show.

WWE.com has an interview with Curtis Granderson (from the Tigers) - apparently he's a big King Booker fan.

I'm not sure this is always true, but with Supershow tapings backstage stuff is often not shown to the audience to help move things along quicker. That doesn't mean a lot, but some of the people that don't appear on the show based on what you've read in spoilers may get 3 points for showing up backstage. Yippie.

Dude that all there was a joke - the other stuff was just me being nitpicky and asking questions because, well, I had them. I'm also naturally suspicious of posters who are here 2 months and rack up more posts than I did in 2 years, mostly because this place is generaly so unaccomodating to new posters. Outside of your sometimes thread derailment to tell someone to F off or call them gay, I gots no problems with you. Relax, Butters. We're good. Office is #1.

Oh, so then this is not a publicity stunt send-off for k thx. Take care, Greatest Poster Tournament moderator. Those were good times.

So the assumptions were true and Mole really is Andy O? Is this why Leena hasn't been here in days?

While bored, I decided to read the kayfabe breaking Corporate section of WWE.com: "WWE's two flagship programs, RAW and SmackDown are action/adventure soap operas. The action in these programs is generally performed in a “slapstick” manner, and is scripted and carefully choreographed. Our stunts are carried out in a safe environment and are executed by highly trained professionals. The activities performed on our programs are not meant to be emulated by our viewers, and do not represent socially responsible methods for resolving conflicts." Here is an explanation of what the rating means in the context of WWE television programming: L -- coarse language Characters may use slang and make sophomoric rude gestures typical of language and actions used by high school and young adults (some older adults, too). V -- violence Typical actions that do occur within WWE programming are as follows: * Characters may "hit" opponents with objects, such as metal chairs, sledgehammers, shiny new trashcans, baking sheets, metal stop signs or kendo sticks. * Characters may "slam" opponents through folding tables, announcer booths, ring barricades and turnbuckles. * Male characters may body-slam female opponents in the ring, and vice-versa. D -- suggestive dialogue Television announcers and characters may comment on female characters that wear revealing clothing, or use sexual innuendo or double entendre. S -- sexual situations Characters may use sexually suggestive language and gestures alluding to sexual situations. "Undertaking aggressive "backyard wrestling" activities that could result in serious injury is the way to the hospital and permanent disability, not to WWE Superstardom."

Didn't this sucka already ask for the k thx account to be deleted because Sterling Tit "had all his stuff"?

And, if true, decided he likes The Office. I ain't buyin it yet. If anything, one should bring up the fact that Hotbutter Spoontoaster and Andy O briefly shared the same sig and avatar image (they still both have that blue apple, I think) and HBST seems to have a good knowledge of the forum, its posters, and the history of both despite joining in May of 2006 (or at least acts like his 5 month membership and constant posting gives him the right to act like someone that's been here for years)... an odd quirk shared by Andy O, as well. Bottom line, America? HBST is the flamewar gimmick account of Andy O.

Controversy Creates Cash - Eric Bischoff
DrVenkman PhD replied to Downhome's topic in The WWE Folder
From WWE.com (Chavo's is my favourite): Superstars shoot on Eric Bischoff and Controversy Creates Cash... October 16, 2006 William Regal on Bischoff and Controversy Creates Cash… “Bischoff was always good to me personally. I worked with him for a long time. He looked after me and took good care of me…” “If Eric is willing to be honest and talk about his own mistakes, I think it will be a good book. I think he knows a lot of things he did were wrong, so hopefully he will confront it. He had unlimited amounts of money to spend every week, and that helped him buy controversy, which is something people want to read about. I think the book should be very interesting.” Chavo Guerrero on Bischoff and Controversy Creates Cash… “Controversy creates an a**hole. That’s what he is. He kissed all the top guys asses in WCW, while all the workhorses, guys like Chris Benoit, Eddie Guerrero, Dean Malenko, Rey Mysterio and myself were treated like s***. We were the ones busting our asses and having the best matches in WCW while the top guys couldn’t have a good match to save their lives… Basically, what Eric did was steal all the top guys from WWE and make another WWE. The difference was, in WWE, all their top guys could go for 45 minutes and have great matches on every night, but in WCW none of the top guys could go. On the book… “Bischoff did a lot of bad things while he was on top. He was on a power trip and I don’t think he has the balls to come clean and admit it in the book.” King Booker on Bischoff and Controversy Creates Cash… “I always had a good business relationship with Eric Bischoff. When I was there he always kept me in a great position, and treated and my abilities with respect…Eric’s always been very controversial so I would expect the same from his book.” ECW World Champion Big Show on Bischoff and Controversy Creates Cash… “Eric was a brilliant man. I think he did a lot for WCW, and played a big role in making them as successful as they were. He was a smart businessman as well, very creative… I know when I first arrived at WCW I was very young and ignorant to the business. I didn’t understand the concept of how much money was being spent or how much I was going to make. Eric spent a lot of WCW money to compete with WWE. They had a history, and a reputation and we didn’t, but Eric was very bold in letting people know that WCW was second to none. He created a lot of controversy, like when he challenged Vince McMahon to a fist-fight. I’m looking forward to the book, I can’t wait to read it.” Finlay on Bischoff and Controversy Creates Cash… “I’m sure there will be a lot of things in this book that make people angry, and a lot that will make people laugh. A lot of the things in this book probably should’ve been left behind and never spoken of again, but that’s Bischoff for you. Every single minute of every day in WCW was controversial. I think the book will be very informative so I can’t wait to read it.” Cruiserweight Champion Gregory Helms on Bischoff and Controversy Creates Cash… “I’m definitely interested in reading this book. I’d like to hear about some of Eric’s philosophies, some of the gambles he took, and how he felt about some of the decisions that didn’t go his way.” Torrie Wilson on Bischoff and Controversy Creates Cash… I’d definitely like to read this book. I was part of WCW during its downfall so I experienced a lot of it first hand. I’d love to hear more about the stories of Eric and WCW blowing money, some of which was on me, which by the way I enjoyed every minute of" -
He left shortly after you. Apparently Sandman9000 has called something and I have no idea what.

Can we pull a teddy bear and change "the pit" into something else? If I really cared what people say or do over there, I probably would have stayed after receiving an invite.
