  1. Got it Monday afternoon, finished today (not counting 5 episodes I need to re-watch for commentary and some of the features on Disc 3, like Andy Dick's trailer and the table read, etc.). What exactly was the point of slipping in "Injury" as a 25th episode (much like they did with Seasons 1+2) if they weren't going to get the unedited version? Pointless. Other then that, good times.
  2. Rudo - I know who this is and he talked about the Colbert report, so double ups. Who is Richard? Curry - Could have voted either way. Was leaning towards VX because he once told me he enjoyed my columns, but then he didn't vote for me. Matt Young - A bit of a weird and sometimes annoying, but he gets a vote because I know who he is and he is on my (rarely used) Xbox Live buddy list. admin - No strong opinion either way but admin was the person I talked to about getting a writers credit. Spaceman Spiff - A tough call, but NewsRadio fandom wins this battle. FFMS - Invited me to a forum because I like The Real Ghostbusters. Agnes - I don't know who this is and I don't really know who popick is either, or maybe I do but the current name throws me off. The Czech Republic - Someone I've heard a lot about vs. someone I know nothing about. Czech is ok in my books, for the most part. Kotzenjunge - Is no longer known as "Fluffy Delorean McRichdale" or whatever and therefore gets a vote. KingPK - Voting against a Canadian hurts, but Pete has seniority, used to write, mentioned me in a column, and ran the TSM Babe contests back in the day. Mole - Hate the lottery number kissy face signatures but voted anyway. KOAB - Was trying to be nice and get over the past with a Leena vote but I'm still a "HTQ Clone Assclown", so KOAB gets an edited vote. Banky - Heard good things. Also don't know a thing about WCW. Canadian Chick - Is Canadian, and a chick. Also was a fan of Edge when 95% of the board said he sucked (I don't see that sentiment that muc hthese days, but maybe I'm not looking). The Amazing Rando - Is amazing. Hoff is good but his name doesn't reference MST3K. DrVenkman - Because I'm losing badly and was trying to make it less of a blowout. alfdogg - Why not? CWM - Can't pronounce the other one, also not familiar with them. abowen33 - I was confused with another poster with my first vote. StylesMark - No real thought went into this one. NYU - Nominated me. Deep Thought - No real thought went into this one. AndrewTS - Video game guy. I nominated him. Anglesault - Why not, for old times sake? Also have no idea who the opponent is. HTQ - Smart guy. Anya - Video game girl. I nominated her. Would like to meet a chick that is that much into games someday. Amazing Rondo - Close enough to Rondo, I guess. Damaramu - No real thought went into this one. Ortonsault - Fellow WWE Fantasy TSM leaguer. MisawaGQ - Barron would get the vote for being a NewsRadio fan, but I nominated GQ and know him from elsewhere. Чэв - Is running this. Murmuring Beast - I don't approve of the KKK.
  3. Hey Orville Redenbocker won an Oscar.
  4. CTV in Canada cut the announcer off after Reese finisher her speech. That was kind of odd. All I heard was something about Screenaplay then bam, car commercial.
  5. Anglesault takes it from Leena in the finals. Also, thanks NYU.
  6. What did I miss? I changed the channel during that musical number.
  7. I think it was "jump ship", but I also thought that was what I heard at first.
  8. Colbert again!
  9. Rikishi was injured. But I was answering a question I read that was actually from 2 months ago and happened to be quoted in a more recent reply, so if someone on another page already gave that answer, sorry.
  10. Leena found something I said in January when I was angry and just replied to it recently. I tried to retroactively apologize but I guess being on ignore made that pointless. Ignore lists are the cowards way out. Just scroll down.
  11. From what I know, the best versions of the early years of WrestleMania are indeed from "The Collection". Hell, when I watched WrestleMania 1 today (getting close to 22, time for the countdown) they even have an ad telling people to go to the lobby and buy stuff. They also kept Eye of the Tiger, Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, and the "Axel F" credits. Actually, in all the lists of things left off the DVDs, I don't recall anyone mentioning whether or not the Axel F credits remained. Anyone?
  12. AndrewTS MisawaGQ Anya HTQ
  13. I assumed that was Colbert and marked out accordingly.
  14. I generally don't watch this show (I don't think I really have since it got delayed about 50 times in 2002) but I remembered today that they make funny jokes sometimes. So far I'm happy with what John has been saying (White Ray, "Two talented brothers, a statement that could also be about the Baldwin family", and more). Sadly I'm quite uncultured when it comes to technical movie making aspects and, as such, am confused why Batman Begins isn't nominated for best picture of 2005 and don't really care who wins what.
  15. Steve Carrell will take the stage! Yes!
  16. The next WWE novel coming out is called "The Big Apple Takedown". World Wrestling Entertainment’s second foray into fictional novels starring their wrestlers will be titled “The Big Apple Takedown” and will be released this May in the United States and June in Great Britain. The premise for the novel features the United States Government recruiting WWE to provide their wrestlers as spies for the government. The synopsis sent out for the novel reads: December 2001: Vince McMahon steps out of a snowy night into a diner in upstate New York for a meeting with old friend Phil Thomson, now a highly placed government official. Thomson has a strange proposition: creating a new covert black-ops group using the Superstars of World Wrestling Entertainment. The WWE's talented men and women are perfect. Highly skilled athletes with the ideal cover, they travel all across the country and the globe; no one would find it unusual to find them in a town one day and gone the next. The government would train and support the wrestlers in every way possible except one: no one must know the truth. March 2006: The Superstars have been handed their latest assignment - take down a commercial-grade methyl-amphetamine plant that is bankrolling terrorist activities in Europe. Their mission seems simple and straightforward, until a member of their team is taken prisoner. Now all that they've worked so hard for is in jeopardy, and one of their own might be killed..... The novel is written by Robert Caprio, who also wrote WWE’s Are We There Yet? Paperback focusing on road stories told by various WWE wrestlers. The cover to “The Big Apple Takedown” features Torrie Wilson brandishing a pistol. Warrants a thread?
  17. Still didn't get it from Amazon (it shipped on Monday, hoped it would have arrived by today). Thanks to no Saturday mail in Canada, it will be at least Monday until I get it. I was looking forward to watching it this weekend, too.
  18. Because, according to cabbageboy's logic, the sales pitch for last year's event was that WWE stars would be there, and therefore the WWE title would need to be defended this year. Yeah, I don't get it either.
  19. Dwight tackling Ryan was a hilarious way to start a hilarious episode. Watching this (and Earl) on tape when I got home from work really made up for a so-so episode of The Colbert Report (especially compared to Wednesday's).
  20. Alverez was the first name that popped into my head because of the style it was written, but the fact that Meltz would just credit him if it was did make me re-think that. Cornette or Heyman were my other guesses.
  21. Damn you Global! They kept advertising that Earl was airing on a special night with no mention of the Office and I didn't know what was happening. I checked NBC's website and it said they were airing the shows on Thursday, so I figured I'd set my VCR for that day so I could watch both shows at once. Had I known I could have just done that last night, I would have.
  22. Some of those items (Sid, Rey, and Christian/Juvi) I don't recall seeing... maybe I skimmed over it. This is all from the same issue and not news from this weeks two issues combined, right? My subscription ended on the first one. The funniest thing in the Feb 27th issue was the satirical piece about the talent hunt. Meltz said it should be obvious who wrote it for him but for me it's not, though I'm assuming it was Alverez.
  23. In fairness to the GM thing, they were likely planning on just making it Dusty, but Vince was having too much fun being on TV again so the whole thing was dropped until after Mania (according to Meltz).
  24. True, but I thought at some investors conference about three years ago, Linda said they were going through all the footage and taking care of that. As such, I have been under the belief WWE is able to pull up a piece of scratch logo era footage anytime they want, but they would prefer to showcase matches that aren't heavily blurred.
  25. This is booth a good and bad month. Bad for me, because I already own all of these matches, but good for people who don't collect PPVs and would like to re-watch some WM matches. It's worth noting that this marks the first time matches where the scratch logo had to be blurred have been posted (not counting last month's official "Attitude Era" match debut, which while it had some blurring, had the turnbuckles covered anyway), giving me hope that some Raw stuff from 2000-2001 will make it there someday.
