  1. OT, I do enjoy the fictional character myspaces that mix real life with character traits that have been popping up (as in, the ones the cast/characters from The Office have - not to be confused with someone making an account for Steve Urkel, but those are good too).
  2. For the billionth time, WWE only wants to induct one dead person at most and that person is Eddie, so the Road Warriors will wait. "It makes sense since the bulk of Perry's NFL career (pun intended)" *Hilarious*, PWI. And this is from someone who thought using his last name to make a column title was gold.
  3. It is. John Cena, Gregory Helms, Kristal Marshall, and The Hardy BoyZ have real accounts, too. As do some TNA people. And Ashley writes better than Cena. Are you calling Helms a liar? "Only me, Steven Richards, and ring announcer Justin Roberts are real WWEers". Then he mentions something about The Blue Meanie as an ex-WWEer. Edit: Guess Helms is a liar / doesn't know Ashley had an account / doesn't consider her a WWE wrestler. WWE.com confirmed the contract renewal.
  4. I liked the screen name Michael picked. Dwight was also pretty good.
  5. Reggie is the hip NOA marketing VP that uses profanity and is down with what the kids want today. He usually gives pretty good interviews to EGM.
  6. What the hell is all this talk about tag titles being defended at WrestleMania? Frankly I was surprised they booked a defense for the world tag titles. A WWE tag title defense is something I don't see happening.
  7. How did he manage the C4 on Regal? That's if the C4 is the Backflip Uranage thingy. Probably the same way he managed to the previous SmackDown. Anyway, spoilers from WO with few more details (but not much different... has the ending to the main different (same winners) but is missing the mixed tag match): Velocity Taping Test beat Sylvan: Test was in good shape and seemed very happy to be back. Was a pretty good opener. Test won it with the big boot. Tatanka beat Big Vito: Tatanka was in better shape that I expected him to be and was one of the crowd favorites. Was a better match than you would've expected it to be. Tatanka won with the Penbrook Slam (Samoan Drop) after interference from Nunzio. Paul London beat Brian Kendrick, Jamie Noble, & Kid Kash in a 4 Way Cruiserweight #1 Contenders Match: London pinned Kendrick with a rollup, but they shook hands afterwards. There was not one dive to the outside in the entire match, and maybe 2 or 3 top rope moves. Very disappointing considering who all was involved. Gymini beat The Mexicools: Not even sure why this match happened. Gymini won with a weird looking double powerbomb type move. Smackdown Finlay beat Bobby Lashley in a Lumberjack-Money in the Bank Qualifying Match when Finlay hit Lashley with his stick (I don't know how you spell what it's actually called.) The face Lumberjacks were all little guys. The heels beat the crap out of Lashley every time he got thrown to the outside, but the faces never really stepped in and helped much. Lashley ended up cleaning house on the lumberjacks before it was all said and done. I'm not sure Lashley knows how powerful he is. I really don't think jobbing him out, even if it's screwjob finishes, is the right move. The dude has the explosiveness of Goldberg, with an actual legit background in wrestling to boot. He deserves a shot to run with the ball. Matt Hardy beat Animal by DQ in a Money In the Bank Qualifying Match: Animal originally won but they reversed the decision when the ref saw the brass knucks Animal had used hidden under his arm. Animal wore biker clothes and jeans, with no paint. Chris Benoit beat Orlando Jordan with the Sharpshooter. After the match, Bradshaw hit Benoit with a cooler and laid him out. The cooler was clearly a foam cooler and was empty, but Benoit sold it like he had been shot. Booker T beat Jeremy Young: Young got no offense at all. After the match, the Boogeyman showed up but really didn't do anything other than eat worms and dance around. Randy Orton, Rey Mysterio Jr. & Kurt Angle beat MNM & Mark Henry: Mysterio and Angle worked the entire match. Rey had just hit the 619 when out of nowhere, Orton RKO'd the dude Rey had hit the 619 on and pinned him. POST-SMACKDOWN MAIN EVENT Kurt Angle beat Randy Orton, Mark Henry, and Undertaker in a 4 Way Dance to retain the title. Angle pinned Orton after Taker had chokeslammed him. It was about a ten minute effrort. Taker was the fresh man out there, and he did his "Old School" bit, but other than that it was mostly punches and kicks. In the end, everyone hit their finishers, and Angle ended up getting on Orton while Taker was down. Passable main event.
  8. Just a reminder that Helms is out for 3-6 weeks with a nose injury, so a Mania title defense is probably out of the question.
  9. The best part about this week's SNL was that Rock's 2000 episode was the classic episode.
  10. And the flip side of that is there are probably other people still in that thing that are "from here", but for some reason your name stuck out. Amazing.
  11. Slayer - Defeated me and therefore is worthy of winning the whole thing. I also like the picture of Shao Kahn in his avatar (pretty sure it's something else, but since I don't know what, I just go with what I know). AndrewTS - He's losing, Zack's winning. Zack doesn't need my vote, and I don't want to see my Video Game folder rep go down without at least a few votes. Sass - Respect. Popick - No reason. Niskie - just learned recently how to pronounce this name. Dangerous A - the Stringer Bell of TSM. NYU - nominated me. Rudo - Ravishing. Meatwad - has an Office related signature. Krankor - mst3k reference. Carnival - don't know the other guy, but I also know this guy as "silly Jarrett mark". He is in the Fantasy league, though. Чэв - is running this tournmanet. Bob Barron - NewsRadio fan. Hoff - Mai Shiranui avatar = votes for Hoff. Good power play, Hoff. Vitamin X - Once said he enjoyed my writing. Kotzenjunge - Flipped a coin, could have voted either way.
  12. I wish I drew someone people didn't like for the 1st round instead of being defeated so soundly, but at least I didn't get zero votes.
  13. Andrew advanced to round 2 (by one vote!), Anya, Rando, and myself all were eliminated, so the VG folder is not represented very well in the alleged "best poster" tournament.
  14. Well it was a fun ride.
  15. At last, homage is paid to the brains and beauties behind the brawn - the most famous and infamous managers in wrestling history. The men and women you’ll see here are the architects of a Superstar’s success, and sometimes the designers of their downfall. These master manipulators will go down in history as the World’s Greatest Wrestling Managers: Captain Lou Albano Paul Bearer “Classy” Freddie Blassie Jim Cornette Miss Elizabeth “The Mouth of the South” Jimmy Hart Bobby “The Brain” Heenan Paul Heyman Sensational Sherri “Golden Boy” Arnie Skaaland Sunny The Grand Wizard And many more! This release takes a look at the art of managing, the evolution of female managers, and highlights some of the most well-known, colorful managers professional wrestling has ever seen, along with their biggest moments and matches. Special Features Capt. Lou Albano vs. Arnold Skaaland – MSG (19/12/77) Bobby Heenan vs. Greg Gagne – Weasel Suit Match, AWA (17/08/80) Jim Cornette vs. Paul E. Dangerously – Tuxedo Match. The Great American Bash 1989 Interviews, Vignettes, Music Videos Vince McMahon interviews Freddie Blassie & Nikolai Volkoff Tony Schiavone interviews Jim Cornette, NWA World Championship Wrestling (29/06/85) “Fuji Vice”, Tuesday Night Titans (07/05/86) Vince McMahon interviews The Grand Wizard & Bob Duncum, All-Star Wrestling (02/04/75) Mean Gene Okerlund visits the Hart Foundation Bobby Heenan wins the 1976 Manager of the Year Award, AWA All-Star Wrestling (25/12/76) Capt. Lou Albano wins the 1985 Manager of the Year Award, Tuesday Night Titans (27/09/85) Larry Nelson interviews Paul E. Dangerously, AWA Championship Wrestling (30/09/87) “Together” Randy Savage & Miss Elizabeth’s Wedding Video, SummerSlam (26/08/91) Sensational Sherri visits the Funeral Parlor, Superstars of Wrestling (01/02/92) -- Should be an interesting feature, anyway. I find it odd that Silvervision hasn't confirmed the rumoured Hogan DVD line-up yet, though.
  16. I liked to think of the voting explanation as a way to talk people up, not put them down, but however you two want to look at it I guess.
  17. Ortonsault is reigning champ and current leader "never kissed a girl". I am "The Real Ghostbusters".
  18. For the 4 people that care I added reasoning to my votes and changed a few as well (two, I believe - abowen and KOAB got the nod instead).
  19. It also sounds like they bleep French Stewart's name in the commentary as they were discussing AA, which is anonymous. Seems kinda pointless since the anonymous person they were discussing was a guest star working with Andy Dick in the episode, and the discussion happened while he (French) was on screen, but ok.
  20. Nope. Skipped right to that part to check - as with the previous DVD release of the episode, you see Bill's mouth move to say something but it cuts to a different scene.
  21. It depends, I guess. I wouldn't count on a new Xbox or Cube title, but if the SmackDown people aren't busy working on a PS3 game, I could see them putting out one more game this fall. I guess we'll find out in May.
  22. I nominated Drew and Anya for the "Greatest Poster IV" thing in HD. Good luck! So, after doing some reading, am I to understand that while Twilight Princess is technically a Cube title, Nintendo is looking at it as a Revolution launch title (since it will work in that system with some sort of possible upgrade)? That's not a bad strategy.
