This is a minor nitpick which you can feel free to ignore, but why do you date the news as the day you post it as opposed to the date the Observer has? It really threw me off the first week you started this as I expected a 2nd Observer due to the date you said it was from.

I may be in last now (not counting the people with zero, who I assume didn't bother making a roster) but I think I'll pick up some good SmackDown points this week and some more from the Rumble. Surprised how few people picked Angle when he'll most likely be getting PPV appearance, match, win, and title retain points.

Anyone watching the online press conference? Coach got a good pop coming out, then people did the C O A C H Spirit Squad thing.

"Off the air" means won't be on TV until a new season, as opposed to straight up gone forever, right?

It's sparkling peach, you're going to hate it.

Where is Hardcore Holly these days?

Woah, I called this thing a few days ago. I scooped everyone and no one believed me! The signs were all over the place... the power 25 page made a vage mention of Animal's potential singles run, he's teaming with Hardy in Japan... it was on the wall. Does anyone recall if the Ice Nazi was supposed to still be managed by Paul Heyman in some sort of "hilarious irony" deal?

I was grossly disapointed with the 11 years of hype when I finally played Sonic CD last summer.

I thought I read something about there being a rumour of a new dub (as you mentioned) but unless I am remembering wrong, I read a post on GameFaqs that not only was there no re-dub, but no dub at all. Maybe I misunderstood something or remembered wrong, or maybe 90% of posters on that site are idiots. Or maybe all of the above.

Legend of the Red Dragon being the game better known as L.O.R.D. on BBS door games? Good memories... I seem to recall reading something about the green dragon reading a LORD wikipedia entry. Maybe I'll check it out. Edit: "The game has spawned an unofficial web based clone called Legend of the Green Dragon, as well as an official sequel and a multiplayer tournament version"

Well with weapons you can come to your own conclusions... 1. They're not good enough for the new batch of robot masters (the typical way of new powers being gained while old ones are forgotten). 2. They take up memory and because they require power-ups to be restored are not worth keeping after peace is restored (because good guys are generally dumb and don't consider that they'll need those powers again). Outside of the whole "good is dumb" thing, I don't see why X would ever get rid of the enhancements from X1 (again, they were supposed to complete his design). But really, it's just a game. In regards to X4, with people mentioning that voice acting is gone, are they refering to the in-level cutscenes? I misunderstood people's whining and thought that through some error the animated scenes had no talking anymore but I was quite happy to see the horrible English voice acting Capcom was good for in the 90s. As bad as the Reploid general sounds (is he supposed to be French?), noting tops Dr. Light ("Dr. Wiwy") from MM8.

Just for the sake of being complete, it would have been nice if they offered two versions of X3, but it doesn't really matter. I just played a bit of all 6 as it has been awhile (and I never played 6 at all). Is there a point to being a non-armoured X in X5? Also, I have to admit that while X5 seems to be the one everyone hates the most, I give it points for the fact you can start with upgrades as opposed to them just vanishing. X1 even states those upgrades were necessary to make X complete, so why the hell does he ditch them before X2?

I went to the local EB and was told they were sold out of the PS2 version and had one lone copy for the Cube. Though I do love Nintendo, I just wasn't up to owning the Cube version of this game so I left. I walked down a few stores and went into Zellers (The CanCon Wal-Mart) and purchased the game. Buying games from department stores feels very weird... getting the clerks attention, having them unlock the cabinet for you, etc. It later dawned on me that of all the games I own (since game specific stores opened in this area in the late the late 90s), this is actually the second game I've purchased from a Zellers/Wal-Mart type deal... the only other one being the first Mega Man collection. It all comes full circle.

I've generally been happy with every Survivor Series and Royal Rumble event since 2001 (2000 for the Rumble) but I'm more or less a mark for those events. My top five... and this is putting minimal thought into it and it could change any day... WrestleMania 17, SummerSlam 2002, WrestleMania 19, Vengeance 2003, and WrestleMania XX.

Wasn't Armageddon also the name of the much rumoured but as of yet unproduced and non-existent MK3 movie?

Did WWE secretly fire Heidenreich and / or is he injured? I found it odd that Animal was in the BR on SmackDown but not John, and now I see this bizarre Hardy/Animal tag team. Even the WWE.com Power 25 has the line "Is Animal ready to prove himself once again as a singles star?". Is the return of "High Voltage" (or whatever character Matt played with a buzzcut and facepaint) upon us?

The old preview hinted that John Cena would be facing reprisals for getting involved at the end of Raw last week (Vince said if he did, he would lost his match at the Rumble). Lately if WWE.com removes something from the preview, it means it will be brought up as a surprise.

Stryker is back? SIGN ME UP! Seriously though, it sounds like a neat concept. I'm sure the game will suck but I'll end up being excited about it.

Off, yet on, topic, does anyone know if there is still a anything in the works to further the animated Clerks story? I thought I heard at one point that the animated version was going to be Clerks 2, but I guess not.

http://www.clerks2blog.com/teaser/large.html Well technically it's a teaser, my bad.

Double Post

That was one hell of a transcript. "Is Sid coming back?" "I hope not" And Vince loves Cartman and Chef! The part where everything goes down and he rambles to himself is gold, Jerry. Gold!

OAO NY Revolution Thread 8/1/2006
DrVenkman PhD replied to Team Angle Pusher's topic in The WWE Folder
Edge appears sincerely happy about the situation which is always good. Congrats to him. -
Another potential serious WWE injury [email protected] Early reports are that the injury to Batista at today's Smackdown house show in Verona, NY, was a possible torn triceps. We don't have any other details available. The injury appeared to be from landing wrong after Mark Henry jumped on him in their house show main event. The match had to be cut short and when they right to a finish of Henry using the ring bell for a DQ. Batista has suffered at least two torn triceps earlier in his career, and is still recuperating from a torn lat. The full extent of the injury has not been determined and it may not be a tear. We don't know if it is the same arm that has been injured in the past or not.

Actually I forgot all about the Edison and Shalet jokes. Good stuff!
