The Arcade involved Maura hanging out in a high school and smoking right? Good stuff. I always worried that maybe Seasons 1&2 were just released because they took time to record commentaries (it seemed to exist without a release date for awhile on Amazon) and there would not be follow up seasons. This pleases me quite a bit.

2006 seems like a very timely year to base a character off of a SNL skit that began in 1996. Maybe they can give someone a Steve Urkel gimmick while they're copying TV character gimmicks at the height of their popularity.

I'm glad this thread exists because inbetween Seth's religious rantings that I'm getting so tired of I forgot that there were some jokes on FG that I liked. American Dad (or as The Simpons refered to it, the "Plageriser of the Plageriser") soundly beat it this week though.

Just wondering, did Double Dragon The Movie have a cliffhanger ending? I ask because it seems to me that SMB, Street Fighter, and the first MK all ended promising a sequel. Of course, only MK got the sequel and it arguably turned out to be the worst video game movie of the 90s (though I have not seen all of Double Dragon, which I understand might be worse).

I can't really say anything bad since SKeith briefly had me writing on a site that people went to to read, not use a forum, and thus received e-mail and feedback and such. Really, I only find him good in small doses, and those doses are generally unrelated to match reviews. While I think my "review" of his second book in I think my first or second article here was positive, that was me selling out for a link in a Raw rant because the book was pretty poor, especially in light of real high quality books that come out these days (ex. Death of WCW). I also find spman and GQ's comments to be right on the money.

Interesting that in the Homerpalooza episode, Matt Groening mentions sitting next to Billy Corrigan at a WrestleMania and not recognizing him. He called it "World Wrestling Federation", though.

Well, the actual quote was JBL had mentioned telling Eddie Guerrero that he was "Wasting his time with that retard" but Eddie kept trying. The retard wasn't named but Meltz assumed it was Juvi.

Once when I was Angle and had a stored finisher I was prompted to press L1 when I blocked a kick. I didn't notice it immediatley so I didn't do it, but that leads me to believe it can be done.

Speaking of things that aren't shocking, when I checked EB's website to see if MMX Collection actually came out this week as previously scheduled, I naturally saw a release date that I had not seen before (now January 2006). Is this going to happen every month? I am beginning to think this game is heading down the GBA collections path of endless new dates without ever actually coming out (last I read for that game was February 06).

I too found it odd that this story has vanished from WWE.com. Did they change their minds again?

Oh, there was this really (and I mean REALLY) annoying lady in the "lobby" of basketball city asking everyone if they were a wrestler. When Samoa Joe walked by and said "Hey everyone how ya doin?" she asked "who the hell was that?".

I have just returned home from a trip to NYC and I must say the Nintendo World store (formerly a Pokemon Center) is very neat, especially the mini-museum on the 2nd floor. I also bought a block with a random miniature in it... I ended up with ROB. It has all these small parts that may or may not require me to do something, but the instruction pamphlet is Japanese so I just left them lying next to ROB with his 3 famicom carts as part of the "display".

I was at the show and Abyss seemed very over. Fun show overall. It was neat to be in a New York wrestling crowd and see Vladimir the superfan and Green Lantern Fan (who apparently is not well liked) wandering around and I assume this one guy wearing a Yankee's cap I saw was Bob Barron. I was marking out before the show even started with that sort of non-wrestling star power! Jack Evans is also insane.

Also, though I initally thought it was in poor taste... I don't think anyone ever will have a cooler entrance then exiting a burning casket.

I had a great time live... our section popped big for Boogeyman (which was kinda cool, I guess).

I wonder if Shantelle Taylor is the Shantelle that has been working BCW shows this year. I enjoyed her work. Edit: Quick research says "probably" (I found a picture on some website called "Ladysports" (first google result) of someone wearing a small pink outfit, which is what she wore in BCW).

I'm still assuming MNM vs. Mexicools will happen, whether as a late PPV addition or for the PPV channel / WWE.com Heat.

Shouldn't he be selling homes as Robert Rechsteiner or something along those lines? How can I trust this man to sell me a home if he's not even using his proper name?
