  1. Well, taking guesses at the card.... Benoit/HHH (HHH wins back the title) Benjamin vs Orton (Orton loses the belt) Edge/Christian vs Jericho/Partner (total guess) Tag title match. So, although it's total guessing, the Raw side looks good. SmackDown... Eddie Guerrero vs Mark Jindrak (please no!) Los Guerreros defending the tag titles Mordecai vs Undertaker Cena vs. Booker T (Bash rematch) Whether this card actually happens remains to be seen, but it looks like no matter what really happens, the Raw side should carry the show to decent - good levels, and should be exciting live. If Mordecai vs. Undertaker happenes, while the match will more than likely suck to the viewer at home, I'd be marking like a... um, mark for those entrances live.
  2. Yeah, I know, but he said "Canada" specifically was the problem, not travelling to different locales across the US. I'm not trying to make a big deal out of it. He said something, I chose to take it in a way I was pretty sure he didn't mean, he elaborated, I asked another question that I imagine the answer is no to again.
  3. I figured as much. However, I ask, if SummerSlam was at Jou Louis Arena in Detroit, would you go? Because it's like, 15-30 extra minutes to fly to Toronto.
  4. Well I was told the password is Toronto, and there are some not bad (in the corner) $75 seats available, but no $95 or $55 ones (I'm assuming due to pre-sale limits). This doesn't help me at all anymore, though, since my wrestling fan friend didn't realize tickets went on sale so soon (nor did I until I saw the ticker notice on Raw), thus he was not monetarilly ready for this. Don't make me wack you upside the head with a hockey stick, Rico. Canada rocks!
  5. I was all set to go until I found out tickets were already on sale (if you have a password, which I don't - tomorrow in that case). By the time I get around to picking them up, only shit might be left. I've never been to the ACC, so I don't know if it's one of those "Even bad seats are good" arenas or not. I'm also concerned that, this being Toronto and all, the excited fans will sell this bitch out.
  6. This one is my favourite... http://auction.wwe.com/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/...&aunbr=50446121
  7. Credit: PWInsider.com Note to Trivia: Notice how after cut and pasting a story, I put where it came from afterward? Not hard.
  8. Back to the Future Kill Bill
  9. Meltzer makes vague references in his Monday update about Benoit/Edge vs La Res "possibly setting up July". If you've read the Observer (or the thread about it), you know the current plan is Edge vs Benoit for Vengeance, so perhaps a title change is going down tonight. I was hoping La Res would get the belts when they were Conway/Dupree since I hate Grenier, but Conway has still done a good job of carrying the team, so I'm cool with it.
  10. Always Bossman or Hogan (for Rumble), usually Hogan/Warrior or Bossman/Jake or something similar or a combination of that for the tag teams.
  11. That's pretty spiffy.
  12. What the hell, isn't Angle supposed to be wrestling Eddie at SummerSlam? The latest WON said he wasn't getting that 3rd surgery, which one would think would help Kurt's hope of being ready by SummerSlam.
  13. The thread title says "ONE" but since everyone else broke that rule already... Futurama, Wonderfalls, Made in Canada.
  14. Rocky Kill Bill 1 Back to the Future Terminator 2
  15. Last week's WON said none of this happened.
  16. What the hell, they haven't dubbed Flair's 1992 music in since.. well, I think since Backlash 2003. That DVD had the most song dubs ever, I think.. so why start again now? When I heard that, I expected Kane's theme to be dubbed again, but that was still kept. Odd.
  17. You forgot to close a Bold tag somewhere in there.
  18. I actually think the TV special is the DVD, and the extras would be the matches, similar to Austin's. Actually, similar to every Superstar DVD EVER that wasn't the Ric Flair Collection. Or Mick Foley's Greatest Hits and Misses.
  19. Well, it seems Cena/Dupree ended tonight, and Booker/Taker is ending next week. It kinda looks like Booker will be going for the US title at GAB, so I'm just going to assume, unless we're "treated" to Dudleyz vs Undertaker as a feud, Mordecai vs Undertaker (as suspected from day 1)
  20. Gump got robbed! Raiders of the Lost Ark Terminator 2: Judgment Day Kill Bill Vol. 1 Goodfellas Rocky The Shawshank Redemption Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back Back to the Future
  21. Almost, but not quite.
  22. Shawn has, with some breaks / splinter feuds, been feuding with Triple H since April 2003. April 2003 - HBK starts wrestling with HHH on TV again to set up the Nash/HHH feud, the have a 6 man tag at Backlash with HHH and HBK on seperate teams. May/June - HHH/Nash has also created HBK/Flair. Evolution member Randy Orton helps Flair win, getting the ball rolling on their feud after SummerSlam August - HBK is in the elimination chamber for HHH's title. September - HBK is fighting with HHH's stablemate Randy Orton. November - HBK plays a major role in the Survivor Series match to eliminate Austin from the company, which Evolution member Randy Orton wins by pinning HBK with help from Batista, which leads to... December - HBK feuds with Evolution member / HHH stablemate Batista. HBK wins the match at Armageddon and is awarded a title match 2 weeks later on Raw. The no contest leads to another no contest in January, which leads to 2 triple threats, which neither man wins, which leads to them screwing over each other in their quest for the title, which leads to INTENSE HATRED~! hitting the boiling point on May 24, 2004, causing Eric Bischoff to book a Hell in a Cell match to settle the score FOREVER, or until the company feels they can feud again.
  23. Yep. Going purely by memory on the character's V presentations (never a good idea when the internet is right here to help)... Ken / Ryu: Teenagers, touring the world to fight. Essentially their animated movie selves but younger. The twist of this scenario is (and I don't know if Spoiler Tags are necessary for 8 year old things, but just incase) Ryu is the one who turns evil, and it is Ken that must save him from Bison's grip. Chun-Li / Dad: Chun-Li's dad is very much alive in this series and works for Interpol. Chun-Li, like Ken and Ryu, is just a teenager. I believe her job was being a tour guide, so she takes Ken and Ryu around town. M. Bison: Same guy he always is. Vega: Essentially his SFII Animated movie character, but not an employee of Bison, and more into woo'ing Chun-Li than killing her. Fights with Ken over her. Guile: Same guy, fights Ken and Ryu in a bar and schools the teenage punks. I THINK, and am not sure, that he works alongside Charlie Nash in the series, but it may just be a generic soldier, or never happened at all. Guile is hired to find Ken by Mr. Masters (the family is rich) at some point in the series. Fei-Long: Teenager, hangs out with Chun-Li and the guys. Chun-Li's dad is portrayed as his mentor in the series. Cammy: Hired assassin. Except for the ones previously mentioned as not being in the series, the rest appear as bit characters. Except Sagat, who I'm sure did something important, but I don't remember it. The story also tries to explain the origin of Bison's psycho powers. I didn't really care for their answer, but it wasn't awful or anything. It seemed simple enough, but I may have been reading too much into Bison being portrayed as someone who is only evil because his eagle head statue commands it.
  24. IIRC, the Animated Movie had some adult language (nothing extreme, maybe a few shits and god-damns), so it would suck to have that removed. There were also two versions released. The uncut one, which contains some pretty coarse language (but cut Chun-Li taking shower!), and the one without the bad language. Probably the SF series on the USA network. The SFIIV anime ended where it ended, with no real storyline direction to go on for another 26 episodes afterward. Obviously in the world of television that means nothing, but as already been said, it was 29 episodes, and it ended there.
  25. To answer your question, Triple H had instructed Batista to go check on Ric.
