  1. Was bob_barron consulted about the change to "Television & Film"?
  2. Should I make my nominations public to try and rally mutual support from people, or should I just tell everyone "hey I nominated you!" and not leave anyone looking at me with a grudge? Decisions, decisions.
  3. theone strikes me as someone who came here thinking it was 2005 or so. I could be wrong, but it seems like the day of a WWE Folder existing just so people can crap on every single thing WWE does is dead - things such as arguing whether Cena is over or not (a stupid argument but it seems to happen every few months) occur, but things like "OMG we'll get an awful women's match on Raw tonight, amirite? Cena iz GHEY!" are long since passe. This is why the TNA folder has so little traffic - going there just to say "this is awful" every single post proves nothing, so only people with an actual interest and willingness to enjoy the product make serious contributions there. The rest of TSM that doesn't like wrestling anymore (or those who apparently found us through non-wrestling means and never liked it all) don't come here just to bash things. Again, maybe because I try to be optimistic about things, that's just my personal view on how things SHOULD work taking over what actually happens here. There's nothing wrong with saying something sucks, especially if it does, but that's where discussion and points for argument can be used.
  4. This Raw was too damn long. I stuck it out as long as I could before I had to leave for work, ended up missing my bus anyway, which means I had to pay for a cab AND not see the ending of Raw anyway. Seemed like a good "dramatic" story though. Please don't tell me this thread is 5 pages due to 2 pages of theone arguing with people...
  5. I'd like to believe the former too, but he refer to me as TSM's most overrated poster in mid 2008.
  6. Note to no one in particular but possibly Enigma but for the sake of not making a big deal, no one in particular is who this is officially for: This is not "my job". This is a free volunteer gig for an internet message board full of sarcastic posters who live to antagonize. Yeah, some normal, "serious" discussion in the WWE folder is nice and it's definitely not something that would be discouraged, but at the end of the day, it's pro fucking wrestling. The Board~! is way worse than us when it comes to this shit, but yeah, you post something about The Wrestler a week after it was posted in the thread about The Wrestler - even though it's two different threads in two different areas of the board - you're going to be late slipped. Welcome to the internet in 2009, my friends. If you're not familiar with how it works these days, I'm sure you can find some heavily enforced rules and regulations forum that makes people censor their cursing. If this is too much for you to handle, and you need to send me PMs because someone is derailing a thread by making fun of you, then kindly fuck off, die, burn in the depths of Hell, and have no one attend your funeral. That said, let's try to not derail threads just to take potshots at people. At least not as many.
  7. Last Raw show of 2008! JBL vs. HBK vs. Chris Jericho vs. Randy Orton for a shot at the World Heavyweight Title at the Royal Rumble.
  8. I just found all of my archived columns on 411mania that I wrote in 2002/2003. I dread re-reading these, but I cannot look away.
  9. On that note, how can you tarnish the name of someone who once booked for WCW and still books now? The first name that comes to mind has done a great name tarnishing his own name. Now, Jimmy Hart is a guy that booked WCW and is a nice guy, but does he actively book today to be able to match that description?
  10. I checked the Sunday WO/F4W update and saw nothing about Maryse. However, you win some points by thinking someone with the real name Noah Fentz existed. And there was at least one very prominent Noah working for WCW.
  11. theone: Stop being awful and cite your sources (not so much the Sunny/Bulldog thing which is just you being a tard, but the above DH Smith / Maryse injury stories). Whenever someone lists their interest in wrestling as "knowing a higher up in WCW in 2001", it's time to consider whether this is a person TSM needs.
  12. This thread reinforces why I'm strongly backing Mattdotcom and mellow in the upcoming POTY tournament. I also originally read the thread title as "Is there any way to ignore list black people on here?", so way to be racist theone. Edit: Didn't even realize that was already mentioned in GTG as a parody title.
  13. Edit: I think I was mistaken about that. How odd.
  14. I believe Bret has also mentioned that the Flair was having an inner ear problem when they did the title switch, unless it was in Flair's book. I know I read it in a book.
  15. They actually have TWO WWE titles right now - one kept in pristine condition inside a suitcase used only on TV and PPV and one that the champ actually has possession of (and uses at house shows). This was a random note in the most recent Observer.
  16. Thanks, Vanhalen.
  17. Something I never managed to put 1 + 1 together on until reading Meltzer spell it out in a 1991 Observer, Savage's "wrestle with a shirt" era was a byproduct of the "get off the roids, everyone!" era. I think I always mentally remember Savage as wearing a top at Mania VII, but that was just part of his ring entrance attire.
  18. "We're told this match is under Raven's Rules which is why they weren't just counted out by Billy Silverman". Tony, they were on the floor for like, 5 seconds.
  19. From WWE.com: Jeff Hardy vs. The Big Show (non-title) Maryse vs. Michelle McCool - Divas Championship bout.
  20. I also thought the same thing 909 did as he clearly says "I, Sgt. Slaughter", but after processing it I came up with the scenario Bigelow presents. It's still weird though.
  21. The implication from Dave is the idea it happened at SummerSlam is pure kayfabe, not the injury itself.
  22. I twice tried to watch this in 2006 and twice fell asleep - I don't think it had anything to do with the show, I was just tired both times. I'll try and give it another go before it expires Monday night. I still need to watch Holiday Hell too.
  23. It's great man, load times sped up by up to 5%! Unless it's Halo 3, then it actually makes the load times longer. This is what I've read, anyway.
  24. It seems to me (and I could be wrong because much like I do with the news, I often just read a headline - in this case, a thread title - and fill in the rest of the story myself) that we've recently had threads in that section about Mole having intercourse with skulls, Brody killing a man on video, a mom giving her son fellatio, and an instructional thread on rape.
