No secret there. Some of the WCW guys (specifically O'Haire, I believe) were buried for not saying hello and shaking hands with Droz.

The OAO TSM "Happy Birthday, you!" Thread
DrVenkman PhD replied to DrVenkman PhD's topic in No Holds Barred
Happy Birthday to flithymcnasty. I'm sure we all remember your classic UPN sitcom. I'd like to wish a Happy 22nd to Cammo, but no one has seen him. -
I thought the weights were angels wings for a long time.

Any time Tim Horton's is referenced on an American television broadcast, it's a thumbs up from me.

A 20GB HD has like, 7 GB taken up by system stuff anyway so I'm not concerned about 128MB. I AM a bit pissed that I bought a system in May for my birthday that came with a 20GB HD only for them to drop in price AND replace the 20GB with a 60GB as the standard, but you can't win all your battles. At least I bought it before the Canadian/US dollar parity died a cruel death on Friday.

I liked that Johnny Knoxville sold one body slam better than Steve-o sold a beating by Umaga. Also, for some reason I can't remember I deleted a bunch of posts by accident. This thread was the same size as every week, people loved Raw, WWE makes folks smile, and this show won't draw a disasterous rating against MNF and the NLCS.

Wikipedia, of course (I'm just taking a guess, though). The source for that is the Pick Your Poison DVD (I seem to recall Meltzer ripping Jake's version of history apart).

Funny stuff all around tonight. I liked how 2009 Ted's ring-less hand was hidden behind something on the table until they announced they were going back to the apartment upstairs. Tell me I'm not the only one who immediately searches for wedding rings on hands whenever they do future jumps.

2007 was the first year in over a decade I did anything in a costume. Not a very good costume (a NES zapper and controller, a TMNT cartridge, my old glasses, and a white dress shirt with some pens in the pocket) but it was something. A buddy of mine had a good Dr. Mario costume:

I believe Mr. Keith gave Chono/Rude -***. I do recall being disappointed with Roberts/Sting when I watched this show in 2006. I knew it wasn't good, but up until that point I had only seen the build-up to the match. Roberts killing Sting with multiple DDTs on a chair was a huge deal for me in 1992 and I thought this was going to be a huge grudge match to settle the score. I almost ordered this PPV but my mom put her foot down, saying it was this or Survivor Series and I went with Survivor Series.

New, HD. Guest Johnny Knoxville confronts The Great Khali (Pro Wrestling).

God bless the Philly crowd going nuts for the heels in the opener.

No problem. Also, just to clarify, I wasn't trying to be a smartass or anything, it really was helpful (for me to answer your question) that WCW put the whole thing on screen.

1. Texas Bull Rope 2. Spinner's Choice (which Ross hinted meant Jake would make some match involving his cobra). 3. Russian Chain Match 4. Dog collar Match 5. "I Quit" 6. Babred Wire 7. Cage 8. Lumber Jacks with Belts 9. Prince of Darkness. 10. Texas Death Match 11. Coal Miner's Glove 12. First Blood Quite the helpful graphic WCW put up at the beginning of the show.

It's great when they list of every other mat stipulation that could be much more exciting than the glove match. Even PRINCE OF DARKNESS match, which I assume means "Blindfold", SOUNDS exciting.

These are the sort of things that need to be pre-announced so I could have DVR'd the HD feed of the show. Hooray for Tuesday replays!

The "Vent about not having Program X on 24/7" Thread
DrVenkman PhD replied to EVIL~! alkeiper's topic in WWE Multimedia
Cogeco seems to be updating their movie network on demand channels properly now (which is why I find it odd when they blame WWE for this - did WWE also screw up by not adding new shows and series to the proper sub-menus on The Movie Network?) which usually bodes well for 24/7. Case in point, I didn't expect Halloween Havoc 92 to be on time but here it is, available and on time. Of course, whoever is at fault can only seem to get their act together for week 2 and beyond programming, meaning the Raw I'm missing and REALLY wanted to see will not be appearing. The topper is no one even bothered to post a torrent of it. -
I believe this show is also the 24/7 debut of Fake Gary Cappetta (when it aired in 2006). He tries so much harder on this show.

Sting was the best booked babyface on Impact for weeks so him winning the title is a good thing, I suppose. Realistically it's not like a damned thing that happens in this company means a thing anyway. Can someone better explain the Joe dropkick spot? Meltzer's recap stated he went from "the luxury boxes to the steps", so of course I visualize that as Joe leaping about 100 feet above ground on some huge arch that made it all the way to the ring steps. That sounds like quite the jump for him to pull off and live.

Anytime you get Iron Sheik calling Mean Gene an intelligent jew, it's a thumbs up.

WWE General Discussion - October 2008
DrVenkman PhD replied to DrVenkman PhD's topic in The WWE Folder
The one where Wes Adams was fired and Ricky Ortiz was having problems selling (his merchandise) is the best. -
I don't follow how looking for illegal roms and owning a Wii go hand in hand unless this is an oddly worded question about the Virtual Console library. Available on VC. Available on VC as well as every GBA Mario port ever. Available on VC. As both games involve licensed characters, if and when they will ever appear on VC is unknown (and they will likely cost 100 extra Wii points if they do).

I gave you props on IRC. Happy Birthday to Dingus! -
Didn't we already get that when Vince McMahon had his first match? A Winner is You.
