  1. Hey KKK I just noticed your blog (I really don't click on links in sigs) and you have twenty eight fucking pages? Talk about a slow accumulation. Also noticed your top 103. I think I'll feel hurt if I'm not on there(no way I'm searching through it).
  2. Actually you beat me to the punch, as I was gonna get that green banana/eggplant curry on here. I'll find out sometime this week how to make it.
  3. I wasn't referring to the video, more to you bitching about dvdvr. Leave it at a one-line joke and let it be. Sorry, I should have made that clearer. Didn't know I was being a dick? I'm going to be posting much less after next week. I hope you guys all miss me!
  4. Well then don't use it to take attention away from the required viewing that is Fitch vs. Joslin.
  5. I don't really care, I just saw something about DVDVR and jumped on board. I didn't actually watch the vid, which may or may not be the most amazing HL ever.
  6. No he's right, DVDVR is the worst, and your lame picture/gag won't change any of that. http://www.megaupload.com/?d=ELUKT38T Fitch vs. Joslin
  7. By the criteria set by the list I guess it makes sense, but that's what I'm saying. I think the list itself is horrible because I don't agree with their criteria at all.
  8. That list is horrible. Brady at 54 wouldn't be so bad if Trent Green and Drew Bledsoe weren't ahead of him.
  9. Yeah, but I was actually published in middle school/early high school, some essays I wrote for some kind of collection. And considering I've gone over into screenwriting in college, and have subsequently rocked all my writing classes and whatnot, I think it's been validated. Hell, I can say that that's my one really great skill. I'm a natural storyteller. I don't think that changes anything. Attending a class and doing well is not necessarily a huge accomplishment. I'm talking about actually finishing a novella or screenplay and getting it picked up. While it's nice that your ability is validated, and I'm not trying to pick on you specifically, at the end output is what matters. My point was not that people here are misled to believe that they're good writers, but that no one ever seems to make something of it. Admittedly though, most of us are young and have a long life ahead of us (hopefully) to get something done.
  10. Is it just me or has everyone here been told they're a good writer? I'm not trying to single you out, but to me it seems like everyone has been told that they have writing potential here and is one break away from the big time.
  11. So it's your fault? Nah I'm just kidding. Don't care either way.
  12. Apparently the original grill was supposed to be endorsed by Hulk Hogan, but he chose Pastamania instead.
  13. Prude my ass. I'll piss on a girl's face before I ruin a good mortadell with ketchup.
  14. "I'll never know why Bill said you were such an easy sell." *Flashback* "Buy this vacuum cleaner!" "Okay." That Kids In The Hall skit is one of my favourites.
  15. Yeah I know, but that's just what I was thinking of. I can't imagine it going well with any kind of deli meats to be honest. I still like ketchup on fries. I'm not a big mayo guy. MAYBE on a burger, but probably not unless there's not really anything else available.
  16. Anyone here make any beats on their computer? The basic gist of it is this; I'd like to take samples from existing songs, take different parts of them (say just the vocals from one, the drumline of another, the synth line from something else) and mix and match to my heart's content. Also I'd like to create my own songs using a program that simply has a wide array of soundbytes of its own to use. Does anyone know of good programs on how to do this, or if it's even feasible? I don't know the ins and outs, so if anyone can explain where exactly to get started, because it honestly appears as if there's way too much information out there.
  17. That's actually pretty useful, and I have run into that symbol many times. I just haven't ever bothered to learn about it. So the feeds are the different websites that are being updated correct? Like the blog in question?
  18. What are they?
  19. No offense, but you don't know what you're talking about. Wrestling has very little to do with passing guard or holding mount. In wrestling you don't care to gain BJJ position so long as you gain the pin, so many a times in wrestling you hold someone down in "guard" or "Side mount" without saying as much. A good wrestler cannot necessarily hold down a good mount, because he's not taught to wrestle like that. How often do you see guys in wrestling lift their upper body completely up in the air and put all their weight down on their BUTT/hips? Never, because it's not a position that is really necessary. A lot of times you end up pushing down on the person. A good wrestler can adapt better than a normal person to BJJ because they're used to grappling sure, but certain things are still brand new to them. When Brock Lesnar became a wrestler, word is he was completely clueless on the ground, because once the guy was already down he had no idea what to do with regards to hand positioning, submission defence, etc. Passing the guard does not simply reflect him being a good wrestler. Control might sure, but passing the guard requires bjj specific technique. You can't simply be a wrestler and power your way past the guard. If the guy on the bottom is good (which Fickett is, as evidenced by the fact that he's choked out BJJ black belts), he does a really good job of keeping the guard. This is why Koscheck had a hard time keeping the mount in that fight, because he was a lot greener than then he is now. Still, the fact that he did what he did is impressive. I'm not really known for sweeps yet I've swept pan american gold medallist wrestlers and they've had a hard time passing my guard, regardless of their wrestling experience. These weren't submission noobs either, they have been doing subs almost as long as I. That's blown out of proportion, the idea that with a little bit of training a top notch wrestler can simply excel at sub grappling. Proof is Diego sweeping Koscheck the minute they got to the floor. You're wrong in your assessment here, there's no way around it. lol at Coleman doing what Koscheck does. I didn't know that putting your legs back IN guard was great BJJ passing ability. The only times he gains position is when he's fighting guys with horrible bottom games, or that one time with Fedor. I don't remember how he got that. Fitch only knocked him down with a headbutt, but my point was this: If you hold up Koscheck to this standard where all he did was score takedowns thereby making him one-dimensional, then how about holding Fitch to the same standard, considering it's the same opponent? Compare how Joslin and Koscheck did against Goulet. Joslin was admittedly robbed but my point is that once Koscheck had him on the ground he finished him and held the back mount, which Joslin couldn't do. How is that not impressive? Why do you not diss GSP considering he had a much worse performance than Koscheck did against Joslin when he fought BJ? Not only did he stall on the feet he got popped numerous times and well, "LOOK AT HIS FACE". He barely survived a gogo plata, and struggled with the takedowns. At least Koscheck got those at will. If you think you could give the fight to Joslin then turn around and tell me you thought GSP won that fight that just proves my point about your bias. Also, no matter how many times you say it, that wasn't a result of brawling. BJ Penn counterpunched GSP's jab to perfection, slipping it and popping him numerous times. That's a basic boxing move, and GSP was too slow to react to it, which is interesting because I wouldn't imagine BJ being a guy to be quicker off of his feet, especially at 170. I don't care if you use "brawling" as his weakness, that's a form of striking. He got outstruck by Matt Serra. I won't hold that against him, because I know of the circumstances surrounding the fight, but if anything it just shows how much you're hugging the dude's nuts. Why would Koscheck do something that goes against his bread and butter? What the fuck do you want him to do, pull guard or go for a flying armbar? So he ends up on top, that's his deal. He's submitted Chalangov, and pounded out Goulet. The only guys he hasn't been able to finish since he's started on his run are guys that are tough to finish like Diego and Joslin. What's with this "Pure bjj" bullshit? He's a fucking mixed martial artist. You know who uses pure BJJ? Guys like Matt Serra and Wallid Ismail. Who the fuck have they submitted in MMA? It's a whole new world. At this level, everyone is fucking good. He can't look good on the ground sometimes because other guys are as good at BJJ as he is at wrestling. It's the nature of the beast at this point. You're expecting more out of him, but that's not fair. As for his striking, his coach and world-renowned striker Javier Mendez said that it's one of the most technically sound out of all the guys at AKA, going so far as to say it was better than Swick's or Fitch. Yeah. I don't know, maybe really good is a little strong (I'm willing to concede on some points you see) but it's a lot better than you give him credit for. The only thing he really needed to work on was keeping his chin lower. GSP will take advantage of that awww day. Listen, the fact that you brought up the Fickett loss as an indication of his poor submission ability, and the fact that Joslin nearly tapping him, which by the way, wasn't as near as the SoOn sub grappling fanboys like to tell you(see this is why I dislike those nuthuggers, the same ones that picked Bocek to beat Edgar) is relevant to him having shitty BJJ shows your bias. I still can't believe you used him getting choked out by Fickett as a reason. I thought you were smarter than that.
  20. Yeah that's pretty disgusting. You're classless, but that's alright. I wouldn't get fine Italian cold cuts only to ruin their taste by drizzling ketchup on them. What a waste.
  21. I disagree, I like the fact that he's branching out and that they're giving him a life without Vinnie.
  22. What was so great about it?
  23. Triece and Computer are definitely the stars of the show. The episode where they make the grotto at the house to look like the playboy mansion is hilarious. The makeshift waterfall they used was awesome.
  24. Okay, now I know you're talking out your ass. He was tapped by Fickett because he was rocked by a brutal knee. That's not a knock against his submission acumen, it's a knock against his ability to set up the shot, which he's already learned from. He was passing his guard and getting mount. Fickett is an Abu Dhabi veteran by the way, so that's pretty fucking impressive. If you come out of that fight thinking Fickett is the better ground fighter you're watching it with extreme bias. He was already knocked out. Joslin didn't tap him, and the triangle wasn't tight as there was lots of space there. Diego Sanchez has world class BJJ. Legit. That's like saying Diego is a shitty wrestler because Koscheck took him down. Stupid. GSP was knocked out by Serra, and outstruck by BJ Penn. Hardly the best strikers in the world. Diego and Joslin are world class BJJ guys though. So if you're knocking his submission ability because he didn't look so hot against two world class jiu jitsu players (both matches he won by the way) how much are you gonna shit on GSP's striking when he gets outstruck by two world class...jiu jitsu players? You still didn't answer the question by the way. Is Jon Fitch a zero-dimensional fighter? Since he was outstruck and outwrestled by Joslin, and seeing as how he's not as good as Joslin at BJJ he must be incompetent in that area. It sounds like you assume one standard for everyone else, and a much higher one for Koscheck because you don't like him. Just admit that your biased against him. As deep as the WW division is, you think a one-dimensional wrestler would be able to dominate it? If that's the case than Mark Coleman should walk into the UFC and capture the heavyweight championship, seeing as how that's the most shallow division in MMA. Listen, can he work on everything? Yes, who can't? But his striking is far beyond what it was when he started, he's good at the standup. Will he outstrike GSP? Nope, but there's a good chance he can use it to OMG ONE DIMENSIONAL set up a takedown, and GnP his way to victory. If he was a white belt with no striking, you think we'd be talking about how much of a chance he has? By that logic fuck MMA, the best fighters in the world are olympic level wrestlers.
  25. I think that's unfair to say that he's only got really awesome takedowns. His striking is really good, he moved very well in and out against Diego, thanks to his athleticism. Striking leading to takedowns is important, but his striking is good enough on its own as well. Also, his ground game is getting better all the time. Ansar Chalangov is not an easy guy to submit. He's also the same level as GSP belt-wise, at this point anyway. I heard he was a purple who would have his brown belt by the end of the year. GSP got his brown belt after the fight with BJ so not a huge disparity there. In fact, the fact that he wasn't submitted by Joslin is impressive considering how good his ground game is. He didn't want any of Joslin standing but so what? Joslin is a really good striker, he outstruck Jon Fitch and pretty much outwrestled Fitch as well. Joslin is no joke, so I think that's unfair. He knew he was losing and was smart and took the fight to where he knew he would have the advantage. It wasn't a great performance. Matt Serra has been outstruck by everyone under the sun, will you hold GSP's TKO loss against him because he had a really bad outing? Josh Koscheck learned from that fight and bounced back very well, *winning the fight on the feet*. In fact I think it's absurd that you say he's pretty weak outside of the wrestling. His BJJ is actually really good, as he's adapted it well to MMA. He tries to pass the guard and submit people. What do you expect, anything less than a black belt is "pretty weak"? Anyone who is one-dimensional in this day and age will not get as far as he has and done what he has. Admit you're wrong here, because quite frankly I don't know how you can say as much with a straight face.
