  1. The funny thing is that was all grabbed from one post. It's not like he realized the huge leap he was making from the second to the third paragraph.
  2. I still think he'll lose, but he's got a much better chance than people are giving him. War Dirte indeed.
  3. Base: Fries covered with piping hot gravy, with cheese curds on top that are expected to melt quite quickly over the gravy. Becomes a sloppy, yet tasty mess. Now there are a variety of different ways to make them, La Banquise, routinely called the best poutine place in Montreal (I disagree) has about thirty different types. Personally I think the only reason it's known as the best is because of the variety, still damn good though. An example of a variation would be the Mexican poutine, which throws in black olives, hot peppers and ground beef. Another is the T-Rex, which has ground beef, smoked meat and sausage. Pretty ridiculous, especially because they only have two sizes, which can be aqequately described as large and huge. I don't eat much poutine for health reasons, but once in awhile it's good.
  4. I'm sorry, this was too funny to pass up. I'm sure Mike is actually a nice guy (which he is, judging by most posts outside of Current Events) but this was Slapnuts-level of Republican hilarity. Maybe I'll post more of these. The Pit is awesome.
  5. These names are almost as bad as the IFL ones.
  6. Stevenson's fight is already confirmed, I mean the guy's been on TV and stated he will be fighting Kurt at UFC 74, while Pellegrino's training partners like Hermes have mentioned how they are preparing him for this fight. THIS card is stacked.
  7. Tourists would be more inclined to try out local specialties. I think it would be locals with horrible taste who love fast food, aka plenty of Americans.
  8. Nope, there's one near York Mills and Don Mills.
  9. I'm not as big a fast food guy as I was as a kid, but I have to say I wouldn't mind having most of the restaurants mentioned in this thread. Being in Canada almost all of the ones mentioned we don't have. I don't know why people are defending Arby's; it's utter shit. Go to a deli if you want some good coldcuts, but there is a reason their sandwiches are like 5 for $3. Something I'd like to have more of around where I am is Lick's, luckily though there's one near my work. In Montreal, there's no Taco Bell or KFC (that whole conglomerate) but hey, late night poutine wherever you want!
  10. I think 170 would be a bad move for Leben as he would probably lose a lot of power at that weight. I agree that Leben is still a bad matchup for Swick, but he has developed as a fighter so I think Swick should pull it off. Leben is no Okami when it comes to, well, anything.
  11. I'll admit ignorance here, but how does that happen? You can legally take on the responsibility to absolve a relative's debts?
  12. Your dad sounds like the typical mid-life crisis. It's straight out of one of those sappy romantic movies where the guy realizes that he was wrong all along and his life is terrible and gets back together with his wife. Except here he won't.
  13. It's gone off really well in Toronto, but that's because our huge multicultural population loves soccer. Every world cup that comes around gets more play here than any other sport. Perhaps things would be crazier if the Leafs won a stanley cup, but that would be a smaller but more rabid crowd. Also, the fact that they haven't won in forty years makes a difference too. But a world cup win has EVERYONE going nuts. Anyway, the point is that it's successful in Toronto, but the rest of Canada, not so much.
  14. I don't think that makes him an idiot. A lot of people had that opinion. It's rare that a broadcaster criticizes a coach's decision. It's even rarer that a broadcaster admits when they're wrong, as Madden did after the FG.
  15. 85 Iraqis were blown to bits this morning in Kirkuk. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/6900553.stm It's kind of sad that this kind of story is happening so often that people barely take notice anymore.
  16. http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/columns/stor...&id=2937882 Nice to see not everyone hates on someone who makes a mistake. Ron Artest has a reputation for helping people less fortunate than him, so if you think is purely a publicity stunt, think again.
  17. Do you have names? TNA hasn't been around that long, and started long after the supposed change in "culture" when they went from partying all hours of the night to, well, whatever they're doing now. So I'm surprised that they have a few names.
  18. Going back to the issue about Colorado and their altitude, what about the Broncos? How much does it help in terms of lifting the ball? Does it help in terms of getting him yardage? If Elway was on a different team would his stats have been as gaudy?
  19. What exactly is the story of how he went from Beach Sting to Crow Sting, preferrably in video form.
  20. I look forward to the UFC Video Packages convincing us that Keith has a "Very good chance of winning this fight". Jardine by KO Rd 1.
  21. A one-sided fight doesn't make it any less great. Fedor vs. Minotauro I is one of the best fights I've ever seen and it was also one of the most one-sided. Couture's fight was one of my favourites of the year, mainly because of all the drama surrounding it and the fact that Randy Couture at 43 blah blah blah Randy is God blah blah ya feel me? I don't need to go into all that again. I can understand why a Tim Sylvia fan might not enjoy it though
  22. To make things even weirder Wanderlei has an announcement on his site that the fight is happening, although it's a week old, but still, what the fuck?
