I'm sorry if this has been asked in the old school questions forum, but I was watching the HBK DVD the other day and I saw Shawn's interview showing him revealing "his" IC Title after his suspension. I know Bruce Pritchard was interviewing him, but he had the most ridiculous outfit on. So my question was, who was he supposed to be then?

I'm a substitue teacher, go wherever they want me to for the money.

I almost forgot the only Cubs game at Wrigley I've ever been to. 5/22/02 Pirates v. Cubs - Sammy hits a HR and some kid named Prior makes his debut and in front of a ruckus crowd strikes out 10.

I knocked out a dog once, it was pretty pathetic. I was a freshman in high school and was walking through this huge park to get to my high school. All the sudden I saw a woman with a dog without a leash on. She held onto it as I walked by and then about 50 feet past her, I felt the dog starting to bite my leg, I just kept moving as the lady did a great "stop it, come here routine" that worked well. Finally I turned around and it jumped and tried to bite me, I shoved it down and when it lunged again, knocked it out with a right. The lady wanted my name because she was going to call the police, so I told her I'd give her my name after she told the police her dog was not on a leash and was biting me. A couple vulgarities later I was on my way. So watch out old ladies and dogs!

Wrestling Sunday Night Heat taping in 99 that lost video for 35 minutes due to "bad weather" Benoit-Regal at Pillman 2000 in Schmidt Oven ROH's 1st show in Dayton ECW Heatwave 98 Sports Last Bengals game in Riverfront Stadium (Bengals 52 Browns 24) First Bengals game in Paul Brown Stadium (Browns embarrassed them, don't remember the score ) 1998 ALCS Game 4 (Yankees v. Indians, I think its 98) Same Yankees v. Reds game in 2003 KKK went too. Marlins v. Cards May, 1998 (McGwire hit longest HR in Busch Stadium history & Piazza was a Marlin.) Cards v. Reds 9/9/98 (McGwire was at 62, got a 5 minute standing ovation) Cubs v. Reds 9/23/03 (Wood 1-hit the Reds & I caught a foul ball) 2003 A-10 Tournament (I'm the biggest UD mark, had to put it in.) And my most proud, the coldest game in the history of PBS and second ever in Cincinnati vs. Jacksonville in 2000. About 5,000 people were there and they had to spray paint red around the sidelines because the field was so shitty.

I got a question about Live & ESPN 2K4, what rookies will and will not be in those games.
-
Dayton Daily News gave it 0 stars too, but the trailers was sweet, and after hearing all your opinions, I'll probably catch at the cheapo theaters.
-
Actually, Fox will be happy as long as the ratings will be higher than last year's Giants-Angels. And these ratings will not be as bad as everybody thinks. And if I'm wrong I'll just quote it with my "Giants in 4" pick!

Tell me that after Florida drops four straight. I really don't think that's a safe bet. I think the Yanks will win. But the Marlins won over 90 games and have scored plenty of runs in each series. Plus both rotations are skewed going in so the series will be close.

Its WM, it will sell anyway, and XIX didn't sell as much as Vince thought Hogan vs. Vince would. So why pay Hogan a huge amount of money for about 4-5 appearances? WM XX will sell itself.

Isn't the sad but ironic part of all this, is that if this were a toally differnent show, this could easily be pitched as a new show. Ed, will double dip from Dragnet to be the first date.

except that they don't have as much money? Look up how much some of these owners are worth before you stand by that statement.
-
Agreed, plus the culture of the owners would not change, there should have to be a reasonable salary floor as it was suggested in the other thread.
-
Exactly, a salary cap would not work in basball because at least 6-8 owners would still not spend any money. NFL: everybody but Arizona fans goes to games. In baseball owners will only spend money AFTER peeps come to the stadium.

I must resist a joke of a top 10 best of the WWE 2003 joke, I'm outta here.

How would a crowd react to a move for move redo
Gert T replied to cynicalprofit's topic in The WWE Folder
I meant the "still" part, sorry! -
Not really sure, but I suppose the Harts-Steiners match is in the top 10. Love to see the Flair-Bret Ironman match show up as a WWE "George & Adam Fan Cam exclusive"

Well DDP probably has his match with Goldberg written down from Halloween Havoc 98 still, so I guess they could use that one. -
Great Article On Hogan And How He Benefits TNA And
Gert T replied to BoboBrazil's topic in TNA Wrestling
I'd love to see this work well for TNA, but I just have to be a little skeptical about Hogan's involvement. I just have a feeling it will not work out because of the money Hogan demands. TNA will not get a TV deal or get "big" over night. So who is going to pay for Hogan when the money is stretched a little bit, because costs will go up with Hogan around (wanting to get TNA to prominense) I realize money has to be spent to make your business bigger, but who will be footing the bills? -
I agree Bruiser, I despise the Cubs, but what's the point of coming in here and piling on? Congrats on the Central title, and we're coming for you bastards next year!
-
He might, and I didn't see the show today, but I heard him on Kornheiser's radio show, he already said it was over, almost sounding like trying to give it the reverse jinx feel. Oh well, didn't work. And I don't mean to start any trouble, and if I'm wrong I apologize in advance, but Mik, were you busy with schoolwork when the Cubs were up 3-1? I was on fall break in NYC for the weekend doing the tourist thing. I caught the Marlins dropping Game 3 at home before I went, then caught the bottom of the 8th in Game 4 at an Indian restaraunt in Times Square. Followed Game 5 (Beckett's gem) on gamecast after a day of shopping with the gf, have since bought it from mlb.com for $4, returned for Game 6. Cool man, sorry I know you had been pimping the Marlins on here during the season, just curious not to see you around.
