Yeah I know the rule about 12 teams, but I was just arguing the point that you can't take away everything Oklahoma did this year because they lost a conference title game which all teams do not have to play in. And with the less teams having a better chance to play everybody, the Big Ten has consistently shown how much that works.

WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT AJ WILL PIN NASH VIA SUNSET FLIP FOLLOWING 30 BAT SHOTS BY STING SORRY ABOUT THE CAPS. THE KEYBOARD IS FUCKING UP.

For me it was a few other reasons, besides those mentioned. Dumb matches like Glacier vs. Meng and Alex Wright vs. Fit Finlay (I guess someone should have told WCW no one cared about "impromptu matches" if they suck. The usual Steiner v. Steiner we got in 98. The Nitro girls taking up about 25 minutes of PPV time....... Which lead to the PPV being cut off right after the three count in the Hogan-Warrior match since WCW had the great foresight to tell all of the PPV providers they would be running 3 1/2 hours of air time. But besides that, the match did suck too!

Windham vs. Austin was also cool because Barry beat him in two straight falls too, which was pretty rare.

I still think since SD! has No Way Out, Benoit will be paired with a Raw guy as the final two and he'll get eliminated. Then Heyman can gloat about how it was his "last shot" and Brock can talk about Benoit will always be no. 2, but never the man. And it's pro wrestling, they'll figure out a way to get him a title match at WM (If's they're going that way)

Don't forget about complacency, that thing that makes a team that went to the Super Bowl 9-7 the next year. Or a team that won the Super Bowl to go 7-9 the next year.

There is no reason for everybody to be upset. If you're a USC fan you can go out an buy a "USC 2003 National Champions" shirt. There will be no asterisk or say "AP" in front of it. Same for the OU-LSU winner. Sure it would be great if the winner of the Sugar played USC, but we can't have it happen (which is bullshit) so let's all get along. As I've said to my Dad (who erroneously believes Jason White's one bad game negates his 40 TD's and Heisman win) that the NCAA is just as much as at fault at this. Make USC go up to Seattle and play a conference title game against Washington State, just like OU and LSU had to do.

New license plates to identify DUI offenders By Susanne Cervenka Dayton Daily News Tuesday, December 30, 2003 Ring in the New Year and bring in new traffic laws. New traffic code changes that reform parts of Ohio's drunken-driving offenses and driver's license point system take effect Thursday. Lawmakers approved the bill in 2002. The most visible change drivers will see appearing is a flurry of restricted plates — the yellow and scarlet given to those convicted of drunken driving. The law requires offenders with driving privileges to have the plates on their vehicle, said Julie Hinds, spokeswoman for the Bureau of Motor Vehicles. In the past, the plates were issued at the court's discretion. The plates are more of a deterrent for drivers, not a sign for law enforcement. "While the plates are distinctive, it doesn't give an officer probable cause to pull over the driver," said Lt. Rick Fambro of the Ohio Highway Patrol. Troopers look for signs of impaired drivers regardless of the license plates on the vehicle, he said. Under the law, a driving-under-the-influence offense takes a new name: operating vehicle under the influence. Mothers Against Drunk Driving Ohio stands behind the OVI name change and the mandatory plates, said the agency?s executive director Doug Scoles. "Any preventative action that brings a tougher stance, we?re going to support," he said. The law also creates a misdemeanor offense for "physical control." An individual could face a $425 fine and a one-year suspended license for being drunk and in control of the car — in the driver?s seat with the keys, but not actually driving. Drunken drivers aren?t the only ones affected by the changes; different parts will apply to different drivers, Hinds said. Some of the changes are more "customer-friendly," giving drivers a clearer picture of their punishment and flexibility in serving it, she said. The law modifies Ohio's point system, where drivers accumulate points against their license for infractions and can have their licenses suspended if they reach 12 points. It will be based solely on a driver?s speed over the limit, not past infractions, Hinds said. A driver with two prior speeding tickets caught traveling 20 mph over the speed limit gets two points on his driver?s license. In the past, he would have ended up with three points because of his record. "A person is going to have a better idea of what points they are going to get," Hinds said. To deduct those points, Ohioans will be able to retake remedial driver education classes five times instead of only once under the former law, Hinds said. Drivers would get two-point credits for each class, however they can take the class only once every three years. The new law also makes a number of administrative changes — including a revamped suspension classification that may not affect many drivers, Hinds said. "If you are a ?follow-by-the-law? driver, you aren?t going to notice a difference," she said. Driving while drunk is obviously stupid, but I don't believe for a second that this is for the people and not the cops to have probable cause.

I remember watching the draft, and as the annual Minnesota draft pick chaos was going down, all I was thinking was "Somebody please pick Terrell Suggs before the Ravens at 10!" Is the 12 sacks a rookie record, or franchise record?
-
Nothing wrong with that, imo. Good. Perhaps this might deter some drunk redneck from Middletown to not get in his old-ass pickup truck and speed down I-75 to Hustler Hollywood... I doubt it, F'n Middletown!
-
Maybe they've only watched the K-State game then, because if not they'd be fools not to respect White. It would be a fitting end to the BCS mess, but with so much at stake I think the losing team will be too emotionally drained to brawl.
-
I think Chris Perry will get drafted in a similar position to where Larry Johnson was (24-26th?) But I do think he'll be the third running back taken. Then again when he strips down and goes to the meat market (Combine) if he runs a fast 40, his value may go up.
-
I'm surprised Mike Doss did not get any votes at all. And I guess Arizona could have had the offensive and defensive rookies of the year if they didn't think Suggs was too small.
-
Yeah it was the "dropping the bomb, or throwing the grenade celebration", I don't think Symons was involved in that, but not sure. Damaramu, I also expected a brawl at the end of the Alamo Bowl last night. I guess a bunch of nasty words were even exchanged before the game at a dual team functioned dinner Friday night. If that wasn't Navy, it might have gotten ugly after that celebration.

The SD-Oakland-Arizona trio is an interesting one at the top, as I could see both Manning and Roethlisberger going in the top three based on team needs.

Cincinnati Bengals RB: Dillon is pretty much done, and I am comfortable with Rudi Johnson, but I would not be shocked if Cincy picked up a RB in the 1st or 2nd round since RB's seem to have the biggest turnover. WR: They don't really need a WR for offense, but they need a WR or some speed player that can give them some legitamacy on kickoff and punt returns. C: Richie Braham is getting old, but I could see him playing two more years. DT: This leads into whether or not the Bengals need better DE's. I still think Justin Smith can become an elite pass rusher, but they need a mammoth DT that can bring an extra defender to them for passing situations and free up the LB's for our terrible run game. LB: The Bengals LB core is getting old, and were not that good this year. CB: Secondary play is usually indicative of how the front seven is doing getting to the QB, but from top to bottom, this secondary is terrible from coverage to tackling. P: There will be a new punter in 2004.

The kids were speeding to your house to keep you from shooting yourself figuring out playoff tiebreakers. Sorry had to get a bit of inter-forum talk in!

I think Perry will be around for the Pats first 1st round pick. Maybe have to trade up if they really want Kevin Jones. If Stephen Jackson comes out he may be a good pick up with one of the two picks.

"They were just out joyriding, and a cop pulls them over, and here we have seven deaths." I don't want to take this out of context as these families are problem deep in grief, but JUST out joyriding?

Whoa whoa whoa, let's not forget about the Brian Adams & Scott Norton v. Jerry Flynn & Fit Finlay match. Classic tag team action. The six month build-up for that match is what really made it great. Road Wild 98 up until Starrcade truly showed that the "check was in the mail" in WCW.

Due to this I will never watch my tape of he and Bunkhouse Buck's WCW Tag Title win ever again. This is sad/pathetic news those.

What JR has done this year is wrestle too many times.
-
It's very simple why Dennis Green was not coaching this year. Why coach when you can still get paid by Red McCombs for the last year of your contract AND get paid by ESPN as an analyst. I believe Jim Mora Jr. (the great quotable coach's son) will be the next Raiders coach.

If I had to make a half-ass guess I would say Tiki Barber! Maybe Dave Krieg since he has the most all-time fumbles.
-
There was a Sting/Steamboat vs. Flair/Austin match from 94 I believe that was pretty good. Also, I don't remember how good it was, but I was shocked when Rhodes & Windham beat Gordy & Dr. Death for the tag titles as Doc & Gordy had just been beating the shit out of all their opponents prior to that.
