  1. Here's the quotes from the first time she brought them to Celeb. RONA You people are even crazier than her. XANDER Than who? RONA Buffy, man. I mean, taking us right into the bad guy's lair. XANDER Well, that's where, generally speaking, you'd go to find the bad guy. And I don't think you came here to fight plaque. RONA No, I came here for protection. XANDER Well, you signed on to fight with— RONA Look, I know, but... (sighs) this plan is trouble. OK, Buffy doesn't care how many of us she puts in danger— XANDER Let me tell you something about Buffy. In fact, you should all listen to this. KENNEDY Uh, we kinda were. XANDER I've been through more battles with Buffy than you all can ever imagine. She's stopped everything that's ever come up against her. (Buffy and Faith walk through the front door and overhear Xander's speech) She's laid down her life—literally—to protect the people around her. This girl has died two times, and she's still standing. You're scared? That's smart. You got questions? You should. But you doubt her motives, you think Buffy's all about the kill, then you take the little bus to battle. (Buffy tears up) I've seen her heart, and this time—not literally. And I'm telling you, right now, she cares more about your lives than you will ever know. You gotta trust her. She's earned it. Okay, they trusted her, what happened? All of them together, including Spike, couldn't lay a hit on him. Some Sits got killed and Xander became a pirate. Can you seriously not see why he wouldn't be thrilled about her plan of going back in? Xander was saying the same things that you're saying...... for the first trip. They always work on hunches, but that time it didn't work out, so now he wanted her think a little more. I mean, if they looked for proof and couldn't find any, they would probably go back in because they had no other choice. But it's silly to go back without even trying to get proof. That was too much to ask.
  2. Just what I said. She was going insane and needed a break. The lines I posted summarizes it. Can you honestly tell me that she sounds like a good leader there? Rambling about democracy and orders and trust when they just want her to think about what the hell she's doing? Again why should they listen to her? That would've been fucking dumb. She doesn't have anything to show that he has something, she just THINKS he does. They weren't being confronational until she start acting like a total cunt. Anya was the first one to say something confrontational, and she was right because Buffy just wanted them to obey her commands and not question them because she was Buffy. Usually when they attacked evil lairs, they didn't get beat so bad.
  3. She only said that when they were starting to gang up on her. Before that, she was saying that now was the time. Anyyay, here's the way the conversation went. Buffy: Hay guys, I have a great plan, let's run back to Celeb's and beat him up. I think he may be hiding something. Sounds good, am i rite? Everyone else: Wtf? We shouldn't go back without some kind of proof. Buffy: HOW DARE YOU NOT OBEY MY ORDERS!! WHEN DID THIS BECOME A DEMOCRACY? YOU DO WHAT I SAY WHEN I SAY IT Anya: You're not better than we are just because you have slayer powers. One of the SITs: Isn't faith a slayer too? They never said they wouldn't go back. Basically, they just wanted her to slow the fuck down. I think it's obvious she was going crazy in season 7 and needed a little rest.
  4. I have his nation theme with the voice overs, but it says "Do you smell what the Rock is cooking?"
  5. Please explain to me how Eddie/Rey is the 2nd greatest match in NA history. Hell, if you can explain how it's the greatest match in WCW history, I'll be happy. What is it with this match? Bret Hart vs. Steve Austin (WM 13)
  6. Jack Nicholson Clint Eastwood Al Pacino Edward Norton
  7. Yes it's stupid. Listen, they got slaughtered last time they went, and she wants them to go back and hope he doesn't slaughter them again. Without any proof whatsoever, just an idea. Why should they listen to her? Because she's the leader and never makes mistakes and if they do what she says there's nothing to worry about? Oh...Wait a minute. The common sense thing that would happen is that even if there was some power, Celeb wouldn't let them get it and would just tear them apart like last time. But that would go against the whole 'Buffy is right' syndrome. So Buffy went and beat his ass all by herself. Nice. Even though 20 of them couldn't get the job done before. It sounded like they were willing to go back, they just didn't want to go on some suicide mission. Although that's not the only reason they kicked her out. They were also tired of her bossy bitchy attitude. Who wasn't? I hate season 7 worse than you but I liked it when they kicked her out the house.
  8. That's just it. I hate how they always proved her right every time someone disagreed with her. Her plan was stupid. They just got slaughtered by Caleb and she wanted to run back and fight him. "Wow.. let's hope he doesn't do THAT again!" Of course Faith gets blown up for defying her though. That'll show her.
  9. Damn them for not wanting to go along with Buffy's "let's go in there and beat that guy up" plan.
  10. It just sounds like a waste of time reading something like DDP's bio when you could be reading a really good book. I'm telling you, buy SoIoF. After you read that, you'll come to the conclusion that no movie, nothing on TV (not even Buffy!), or anything to do with wrestling can compare to what you can get out of a book.
  11. Is wrestling the only thing that interests you? What novels have you read? Try reading Song of Ice and Fire. I guarantee you'll be fixed.
  12. ... Why? I read Have a Nice Day.
  13. Ok. I already heard about it, but other people in the thread might not have. Thanks. At least that's better than how I figured it would end up. They finally get to the Tower and reach the top floor or whatever. They open the last door to find.... Stephen King. Who then reveals to them that they're all figments of his imagination. The End.
  14. Yea, but the Willow/Xander relationship was the best ever and it was retarded how they killed it off after Season 3. Plus I think seasons 1-3 are better because of how the characters were more together, they seemed like really good friends. After HS, they drifted away from each other a little bit more each year.... to the point where they were kicking Buffy out of her house at the end. It made sense too because she had turned into an annoying super bitch, and the only one she was still real close with was Dawn. Another thing is in the HS years, the show was dark but it was light hearted and funny at the same time, which made it fun to watch. There were lots of bad things happening but they still managed to get past it and not go livejournal on us like they did in the later seasons. I mean Buffy was being stalked by her lover who was killing and torturing her friends just to get at her. How can running out of money and having sex with another vampire and fighting a bunch of nerds compare to that? The only great seasons were Seasons 2, 3, and 5. 4 and 6 were good. 1 was okay. 7 never happened.
  15. And especially American Beauty. Robert De Niro Jack Nicholson William H. Macy Clint Eastwood Tom Hanks Marlon Brando Harrison Ford Morgan Freeman
  16. Uh spoilers dude.
  17. Isn't that every Rocky movie? The man never keeps his gloves up to block the punches. He just hulks up and kills them. Well the main point of Rocky 3 was that he couldn't fight like that. Because Mr T was too strong, so he had to go learn how to dodge and be quick and stuff. The fight at the end was almost kind of a squash match. As for Rocky 4, the reason Apollo got his ass whooped so bad is because it wasn't supposed to be a real match. It was just supposed to be an exhibition. Apollo went in to have a little fun and Drago went in to beat him down as hard as he could. Also if you voted for anything other than Eye of the Tiger, you have no soul.
  18. Robert De Niro Russell Crowe Gregory Peck Jack Nicholson John Wayne Gene Hackman Bill Murray Clint Eastwood Al Pacino Tom Hanks Anthony Hopkins Dustin Hoffman Harrison Ford Edward Norton Morgan Freeman Gary Oldman
  19. What would you rather play? A sport or fighting game or mario, zelda, metroid, etc?
  20. Mark Henry was gone that entire time. He suffered an injury right before Series 96 (which is why he wasn't there) and didn't come back until very late 97 / early 98 when he turned on Shamrock to join the Nation. They hardly tried to get Tiger over. He won the Kuwati Cup but didn't appear on a regular basis. The mid-card wasn't so bad when you take into consideration Triple H, Ken Shamrock, Owen, Davey, Foley in all his incarnations, Goldust, etc. Though I agree there were some stinkers. With all do respect Cawthon Shamrock was pretty bad for most of 97 as he was honing his craft as a wrestler, and trying to learn not to be so stiff (Although he had been a pro wrestler off and on for nearly a decade) HHH was rather dull and had 0 heat for the most part.... It wasn't til Chyna Showed up in Feb, of 97 that HHH finally had a heat magnet Owen/Davey/Foley I'll grant you, but the rest was REAL Thin (Jesse James, Sultan,Rockabilly etc) I have many of the RAWs from that time....it ain't pretty HHH had good matches with Rock and Foley. In 97, there was Bret, Shawn, Austin, Undertaker, Owen, Mankind, Vader, Bulldog, Goldust, HHH, and Rocky. That's a huge roster. And you could probably throw in Great Sasuke, Taka, Scorpio, Furnas & Lafon, and Mero. Great year.

Is it still on? I'm too lazy to click.
  22. The thing is in 2002 and 2003 everyone knew no one had a chance of beating him. He never came close to losing and when ever he finally did, he would just came back and bury them in a few weeks anyway. That's why it was boring. Compare that to 2000 where people could buy Rock, Foley, Jericho, even Taka and Holly beating HHH. I wouldn't call Holly or Taka strong faces, but somehow HHH turned them into stars for one night and made people care about them. I don't know the numbers, but according to Meltzer, 2000 was the best year for business in the history of wrestling.
  23. The ratings only fell from a 5.7 to a 5.4 when they moved to TNN. It stayed there for 3 weeks and fell to a 4.8 while the Rock was still champion. Most fans found TNN, so I don't think you can blame the switch for the ratings drop. If you brush off the 7s because they were post-PPV shows, you have to figure out why didn't Rock's post-ppv shows get 7s. The day after KOTR got a 6.4. 6.2 after Fully Loaded. I forgot about the US Open, but post-Open numbers in 99 stayed about the same. The week before it was a 5.9, the week after was a 6. They did go down in 97 and 98, but it went right back up. 96 stayed the same. Anyway, for whatever reason, the decline in ratings started in August with the Rock as champ. HHH beating Foley on three PPVs and winning the two big matches against the Rock had no affect on ratings, unless it was positive. Like you said, they were still doing 6's in July, so fans didn't just leave because they were pissed that he pinned Vince instead of HHH. They stayed around for a month or two and then decided to stop watching. Well that's another argument for why he shouldn't have got the belt. 2000 had a lot more faces than heels. And when the Rock got the title in June, he didn't have anyone to fight. So we ended up having matches every week with him against Bossman or T & A. But even with strong heels, it's a lot harder to make it interesting if the heels are the ones chasing for the belt. Seeing someone sucessfully defend the title doesn't have anything on seeing them win it.. especially if they're putting an end to an unstoppable monster heel at the same time. It wouldn't really matter if they didn't win it because there would always be someone else there to try to take it. Rock wouldn't lose anything because he didn't get beat clean. I was kinda pissed when he lost it because I thought he'd face Jericho for the title at Fully Loaded. Then go on to drop it to Angle at SS. Makes more sense than how they did it.
