Derrick Thomas should get elected. His stats speak for themselves, and he was a good guy off the field as well. He was the best pass-rushing OLB of all-time not named Lawrence Taylor.

And I'll just agree with you.

You'd probably be knee-deep in Tom's throwaway pussy. And hell, pussy that Jones throws away is better than any of us will probably ever get.

Recommend each other some Pink Floyd.

I've never cared for Radio K.A.O.S., but I really like Amused to Death. And honestly, it's been so long since I've heard The Pros and Cons of Hitchhiking that I can't remember if I like it or not. I really recommend Amused to Death though. I love Syd's solo material. It's some of the weirdest music I've ever heard. There's no flow, no structure, no real feel to it at all, yet I too adore it. The music is such a reflection of the man at the time, and by Barrett was released, Syd was totally gone, both mentally and musically. It's a sad swan song. "Opel" is still his best solo song. -

Pink Floyd tracks for The Czech: "See Emily Play" "Interstellar Overdrive" "Mathilda Mother" "Lucifer Sam" "Astronomy Domine" "Careful With That Axe, Eugene" "Embryo"- gotta find the live version from their '71 BBC sesson "Echoes"- obviously "Free Four" "Cymbaline" "Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun" "The Gunner's Dream" "When the Tigers Broke Free" "Southampton Dock" "The Fletcher Memorial Home" "Marooned" "Sorrow" "High Hopes" "Fearless" "Jugband Blues" "Scream Thy Last Scream" "The Gold, It's in the..." "Sysyphus" I tried to stay away from Dark Side of the Moon and The Wall, as everybody knows those albums. Anyway, I hope I've helped you out a bit, Czech. -
That's the best story based upon idiocy I've read in a long time.

The album revolves loosely around the music industry and the effect it can have on a person. Syd Barrett factors heavily in the album with what happened to him when he started becoming a star.

Tiny Music...Songs from the Vatican Gift Shop is a good album. Alot of people were turned off by it simply because Weiland changes his vocal style. I think it's a fucking great album with some great tracks, like "Lady Picture Show", "Big Bang Baby", "Another Pop Suicide" and "Art School Girl."

I prefer Motorhead's version of "God Save the Queen" over the Pistol's.

Just more proof that Prince rules the world.

I immediately thought of the Ramones when I saw the thread.

Not really. The Russia/Germany battle was imminant, even had Hitler not started it. Stalin did not want a one on one battle with the Germans. So if the Germans were close to winning, Stalin would've joined the Allies. Plus, Germany and Italy did an empeccable job of not communicating with one another, and Mussolini was an incompetant military mind. Germany had to clean up Italy's mess during that period, and it was more of a problem in 1941 than most people think. Had Mussolini not been a total dunce, Germany would have won the war. They were why Germany got blasted by the Soviets in 1941 and 1942. Not to mention Hitler not being informed of the Japs plans to bomb Pearl Harbor, which brought the strongest military country into the war. Communication. I didn't say that he would have won, but would've been close. It's basically impossible to fight a three front war in a country the size of Russia in the winter. All Adolph had to do there was read up on his history and Napoleon's attempts at Russia. Of course, the entire mission was delayed, so that didn't help. I'm just saying that he would've been closer if it ended in '41 or '42, that's all. And by the way, Hitler married Eva Braun just before they killed themselves in 1945. She was his mistress before that.

Hitler was close to winning if the war had ended in 1941 or 1942. After that, most of the higer-ups in the Nazi regime knew that by mid-1943 that the war was unwinnable. That the Germans even stuck around 'til 1945 was a bit of a surprise. But at that point, Hitler had anyone who could hold a gun defending the Fatherland, and we know the rest...

Prince average? hardly.

I give Hitler credit for being the greatest public speaker that ever lived. How else could one man convince a nation of millions that his ideas were correct? And yeah, it took a whole lot to run through Polnd and France. Two weak countries with not much as far as military was concerned, and France was beginning their division at the time (Free France and Vischy France). It also takes a genius to fight a THREE FRONT WAR AGAINST RUSSIA now, doesn't it? Oh, most think that Goebbels, Goering and Himmler were evil as well. Goering was the one who signed the documents FROM HITLER to open the camps and carry out the "Final Solution," though he claimed that he never read the documents and just signed them according to the Fuhrer's wishes. And Hitler was no military genius. Sure, the blitzkrieg worked well, but it was all downhill from there, starting with the Battle of Britain, the Russian front, North Africa, etc. The only real genius in the Nazi regime was Erwin Rommel, who managed to win battle after battle despite being outnumbered most of the time, even nearly winning at El Alamein, even though he was outnumbered and out-armed 8:1. And Rommel wasn't even a Nazi, he was just a general.

My favourite Sly Stone track is "Don't Call Me Nigger, Whitey." Great take on racism.

The only tribute album I own is Working Man: A Tribute to Rush and it's fucking great. I actually prefer Devin Townsend's cover of "Natural Science" to the original.

Ishii was the Japanese general in charge of the "expiriments" in Manchuria, was he not? I'm working my way through it. It's not the easiest read, but it's interesting to say the very least.

I'm clueless on that one too.

I just celebrated my two year anniversary. It was nice. I took myself out to dinner, then got depressed. -
