  1. Speak for yourself. Six Gumby quotes just aren't enough!! Keep them coming, Drury!
  2. What is Batista doing over there? He just had a match with Tajiri in the ring.... ......wait...... .....what?
  3. Jackie's Bukkake Hour - Every week, a new member of TSM bukkakes Miss Jackie for an hour. We start off with RRR, then go on from there. Insta-ratings!
  4. Yeah, I'm screwed. The only question is whether or not I shamelessly vote for myself... 5. I refuse to nominate myself. I can't sink that low..... Lord of the Curry The Czech Republic .....and if someone has an empty spot on the list, I'm still open. Whoring myself is fine. Nominating myself is inexcusable.
  6. New York Mets: Watching AL Leiter sadly walk off the mound Game 5 of the 2000 World Series against the Yankees. You could tell that he was already way too tired to continue pitching, but he desparately wanted to be the one to keep the Mets hopes alive. Then, Luis Sojo drove those two runs in, and Leiter heartbreakingly walked off to the bleachers to a standing ovation. Ugh, I couldn't sleep that night, I was so depressed.
  7. Agreed. But this quote: is going to look pretty silly when you start heaping praise on them in a couple of days.
  8. Well....until tomorrow. Upon which, you will start praising the Yankees, pleased that they have finally turned the ship around. Your outbursts would have way more of an effect if they weren't based on individual games.
  9. What a ridiculous line of thinking. Moderators should be there to do exactly that - moderate. When Tim Russert is moderating a debate between two presidential candidates, does he try to control the debate with an iron fist? If Geroge Bush uttered a negative comment towards Al Gore during their debate, did Russert chastise the both of them and demand they take it backstage? If Al Gore went off-topic in a discussion about lockboxes, did Russert say that the topic was locked and absolutely any further discussion on the subject would hereby be banned? Nope. Like most moderators, Russert is there to control certain problems in the debate, but still let the discussion take place. Just like I feel nikjohns should be there to control certain problems of the WWE Folder - like multiple threads, out-of-control flaming - but still let discussion take place, even if it may not seem like the greatest topic in the beginning. I don't see how ruling the board with an iron fist will improve anything....the slow disappearance of fun and spontaneity in the WWE Folder will, in fact, start to drive people away.
  10. No, I'm not. Examples, plz. Okay. Well, just to go over the topics you've closed: Big Name Rappers to appear at WWE PPV - Definitely should have stayed open. For what reason was it closed? Being off-topic.... Randy Orton Earning Respect Backstage - Turned into a discussion of Randy Orton's wrestling skills......in a thread about Randy Orton. Just because one person was acting like a tard doesn't mean the whole thing should have been locked. Picture of WWE Logo - Not an overly intelligent thread, but not one that deserved to be closed. Why not leave it on its own, and see if it could go anywhere? WWE Character Development - Yes, the constant topic starting of gearhead can be annoying. But this thread did actually seem somewhat valid. The previous thread that discussed gimmicks was a news thread, and it was basically centered around the Booker T name change. This topic was talking about a whole bunch of gimmicks being brought back, and where WWE could go with it. Didn't need to be closed. Bradshaw's Push: Why are you complaining? - Er......which thread was created to specifically talk about Bradshaw's push, and the positives and negatives of it? Plus, there are WWE topics that have been closed without any specification of who actually locked them. The thread about Stephanie McMahon planning the Jackie push, for one. I'm not saying most of these threads contained brilliant discussion that would enrich everyone's lives, but there wasn't really a reason to lock them and stifle any further conversation that could have continued in the threads. Once again, sometimes you just need to let things be. I would hope discussion of Randy Orton's skills in a thread about Randy Orton isn't one of the major problems of the WWE Folder.
  11. Right, but was this story written BEFORE or AFTER they announced Chavo will be facing Jackie with one arm behind his back? Because, I mean......that could change things.
  12. Nik, from what I've seen, these aren't the only threads you seem to be closing. You're locking practically any thread that manages to get off-topic from the original post, and this is doing more harm than good to the entertainment-value of the folder. Yes, some of the threads should obviously have intelligent conversation, but there should definitely be room for the occasional joking thread as well. Wrestlers Upset Over Coach/Vince/Ross Fiasco Bane & Seven from OVW Vince McMahon's Ladder Legrop 100 Reasons Why the Big Bossman is Better than Goldberg These have all been WWE Threads that went off topic in a humorous way, and wound up in the Classics folder as a result. If you were moderating the WWE Folder at the time, how many of these topics would have actually stayed open? I'm wagering none. In my opinion, you're way too much of a dictator in the WWE Folder. Nik, you just really have to let things go sometimes. Be a little more loose. Let threads run their course - even the off-topic ones will eventually die out in a few days. If minor flaming happens to occur in a certain topic, there's no need to rule with an iron fist. Just let it run its course. Nearly every time, the flaming stops on its own and the conversation continues as usual. Most of us are mature people, and I'm sure we can handle insults from someone over the computer. You also seem to have this notion that the folder should just be filled with non-stop serious conversation, and that any sarcastic comment could tear away the fabric of TSM. Calm down. TSM is supposed to be a place to relax in your free time. Instead, the WWE Folder has recently acquired an eerie feeling of high school, with the dean waiting around the corner, just itching to send people to detention. I understand the obligations that you have as WWE Folder Moderator, and I know that the title may carry a lot of pressure. But I would think that the main problems of the WWE Folder are duplicate threads....exceedingly hurtful flaming.....insanely stupid posters that add nothing to conversation.....these are the problems that need to be tackled to improve the quality of the folder. Attacking sarcastic comments and locking off-topic threads will only hurt the folder and dampen conversation, which is something I'm sure many of us don't want.
  13. I think I'm wondering the same thing everyone else is: ...... When did William Hung become a policeman? I mean, same face and everything....
  14. What's with all the ***+ ratings around here?! Heenan used WAY too many chops as transitions This ToF gets * and likes it!
  15. Let me just say that I was ecstatic Jasmine didn't even get put in the Bottom 2 tonight. The judges really treated her terribly last night, to the point where she started crying on stage despite attempting to hold back the tears. At least tonight, she got SOME kind of validation for the verbal abuse the judges gave her before. You could tell that Simon, Randy, and Paula had this preexisting idea of who the Final 3 HAD to be. Hell, it was obvious that LaToya/Fantasia was the Dream Final 2 for them. I'm glad it didn't work out, because it was never more obvious than last night that they're trying to push this preexisting judgment on the voting crowd. Maybe next time, they'll actually let the audience decide who should go home, rather than tell them that a certain contestant should be packing their bags.
  16. Jasmine wasn't nearly as bad as the judges made her seem tonight. It's obvious they already have this preconceived notion of who they want the Final 3 to be, and they're doing their best to make sure that Jasmine isn't a part of it. The negative comments she received tonight were bullshit, because she really didn't deserve them. It's one thing to think negatively upon her performance - it's not a crime to compliment SOMETHING - but it's another thing to completely break her heart on stage. However, all things considered, the fact that they made her cry on stage could get her A LOT of sympathy votes. Maybe even enough to last another week..... Performances: 1. Fantasia 2. Diana 3. LaToya 4. Jasmine Bottom 2: LaToya Jasmine Boot: Jasmine -But again, it's VERY possible that she might not go tomorrow.
  17. Dama, you need to realize: Rupert DID NOT play the game. Sure, he was able to survive in that environment. Yes, he could fish well. Yes, he could find coconuts. Yeah, he could drag wood across the beach. That's all well and good if the theme of the game is to see how long one could go camping on their own. But that's not the game. The game of Survivor isn't really about surviving. It's about using intelligence and cunning to make sure that you last the longest on the island without being voted out. It's about using strategy, and making sure that a plan is in place so you won't be going home that night. THAT'S the real game. Rupert didn't play that game. Which is why he went out so early in Pearl Islands. And which is why Jenna and Rob wound up dragging him to the Final Four. He has absolutely no concept of what Survivor is actually about. Can Rupert survive on his own? I'm sure he can. Can Rupert survive the GAME OF SURVIVOR on his own? Absolutely not. Rob knew how to play Survivor. Rupert still has absolutely no idea. (By the way: Again, you're turning a blind eye to this conversation and refusing to listen to what people have to say. Even if you might not think he could measure up to the great contestants of past Survivors, Rob should be commended for at least taking advantage of the idiots that surrounded him. He was a great strategist this time around, and I don't see - AT ALL - how that can be denied)
  18. I would guess it would be pappajacks, who did indeed ask the question. Perhaps it was just a general WWE-related question he was wondering about, and he felt he could inquire here for the answer. There you go, Coffey. Glad I could answer your questions.
  19. Pizza covered in pubes. At least you have the sauce and cheese.... Would you rather be both blind and deaf (but with all your limbs) OR have no arms and no legs (but the ability to see and hear)?
  20. Fairplay would have beat Lil in a jury vote 4-3. Sandra would have voted for Jon because she would have been PISSED at Lil for voting her off. Along with Cesterino and maybe Hatch from season 1, Fairplay had one of the best played games of Survivor in the history of the show. Mariano was pretty damn good this year, too - just dominating in the challenges. Don't forget that Lil was an Outcast - and, in nearly everybody's mind, there was no reason for her to even be there. Lil would have NEVER won Survivor last season, regardless of who she was put against in the Final 2.
  21. The only thing you need to know to see that Amber didn't deserve to win: ALICIA: In one word, describe how you played in order to get into the Final 2. ROB: Competitively. AMBER: Luck. Honestly, how could the jury members reward someone who ADMITTED that they got into the Final 2 purely on luck? This show is starting to get ridiculous, simply because the best players just aren't getting the million dollars in the end. How many times are we going to have the coattail-riding, under-the-radar people win the game? A supposed jury of "All-Stars" and only three of them were able to put their personal feelings aside in order to vote for the best player..... However, it did make me happy to see Lex, Tom, and Jerri try to give their bullshit "It's not just a game - it's personal" speeches, and get booed as a result from the MSG Crowd. Rich's comparison to playing a simple chess game and not letting your friend win was dead on, as was Shii's "People in glass houses should not throw stones" comment. It's about time that somebody takes away the delusion from Lex and Tom that Rob owed them something because they were friends before - IT. WAS. A. GAME. And if it took a capacity crowd booing Lex's bullshit, then so be it.
  22. Ah, better return that money to the person that had Amber.
  23. You are COMPLETELY forgetting about the strategy aspect of Survivor. Rupert was an absolute dumbass when it came to plotting and strategy. He let Jenna make all his decisions for him, and was then carried by Rob to as far as he was. He didn't take advantage of several opportunities in the game to put himself in position for a better chance at the million dollars......and he was moronically dumb when it came to the relationships with the other people on the island. Not only did he reveal his alliance - FOR ALL TO SEE - when he handed out the food after that Reward Challenge, but he did his best to piss off everyone on the island after having a hissy fit over cleaning the fish. Rupert was nothing more than luggage during this game. Sure, he was able to fish and carry wood, but that's only one aspect of the game - and not the most important one at that. Besides, Rob was able to catch fish just as well as Rupert. And Rob looked like he could build a DAMN good shelter....unlike Rupert, who had the grand idea to build a cabin undernath sand. Rupert didn't earn anything.
  24. I think this was the last episode of Survivor I'll ever watch. There's no point in watching four months of a series, just to finally have the wrong person win.
  25. Penis for a nose. Would you rather have sex with a woman with a penis or a man with a vagina?
