  1. Poor JR. He has to be worried that Eugene is going to steal his announcing job. It's only a matter of time until someone in the back realizes who's more talented....

    Hello Good Sirs!

The 5th symphony?! Damn the absolute uncouth and lack of musical knowledge of Tony Danza. Lemmycake needs to stay.
  3. OAOAST Puerto Rican Championship: The Mad Cappa© vs. Drek Stone
  4. Good: Woody Paige, Jay Mariotti, Mike Wilbon, Tony Kornheiser Bad: "Stat Boy" Tony Reali, Mike Lupica, Christopher Russo, Mike Francesca
  5. PRL/The Mad Cappa - Unfortunately, I think the match was cut off with Abe Vigoda coming out as Colombian Heat walks to the back. At this point, I'm assuming the Cappa won.......either way, from what I was able to read, it was a great contest and a good way to end the PRL/Cappa feud for now. The PRL/Cappa matches have always been among the best-written I've seen since joining the OAOAST, and this was no exception. It also really dealt with the Colombian Heat Referee spot well, and it put over just how high the stakes are and how much of a bastard Heat was being. Once again, from what I've seen, it was a great ending to an amazing feud. Skull Mask & Skull Kid vs. The Global Party Exchange - Nice match. It successfully put over Skull Mask and Skull Kid as threats for the Tag Team titles, but it still remained competitive enough to make it a good match to read. Good job with this one, Dama. While the result was obviously predictable, the match did a fine job at leading up to the result. Ryan Smith vs. Cuban Wall - Very fun match to read. I enjoyed the battle for the advantage at the end, and the chain stipulation was dealt with nicely. It wasn't used TOO much, but it was used enough to have a large impact on the match ending. Well done. Axel vs. Gunner Sharps - Another enjoyable match. I loved the way Axel snuck out of the crowd to surprise Gunner Sharps, and that this would have such a major effect on the match ending and, basically, the entire match. The attacks on the knee were well done, never becoming too repetitive, and Gunner's comebacks really did make the match more exciting. I especially enjoyed the "ONNNNNNNEEEEEEE... ...TWOOOOOOOOOOOO... ..THRRRREEEEEEEEEEE... ....FOURRRRRRRRR.....FOUR?!......HA FUCKING HA" commentary. I wish you wouldn't have used the Ringpost Figure-Four right before my match, but what can you do? Hoff vs. Gibraltar - Very hard-hitting, hoss-type kind of match. I really liked the fact that it was more brawling and punch-kick type of stuff, rather than being technically-sound, since it set this match apart from the other matches on the card. The ending also genuinely surprised me, since I figured Hoff was going to pull this one out. Really enjoyed it. Panther vs. Chris Bryte - For me, this was the Match of the Night. It really had everything. Lots of back-and-forth action, humor with the Triple H cameo, a lot of drama with Tina and who's side she was on - everything just really worked for me with this. The ending was also very unpredictable, as everything leading up to it made you second-guess just what Tina's motives are and which guy would wind up having to retire. I just can't say enough good things about this one. AJ Flaire vs. Dan Black - Had to deal with a tough spot, being another 2-out-of-3 falls match and following what Panther/Bryte had just put out, but I think it turned out successfully. All of the well-placed technical moves and different combinations made it a LOT of fun to read, and I liked the psychology of Black using the brass knucks between the two falls. It really did live up to the reputation of a X-Division type of matchup. Zack Malibu vs. Sly Sommers - Dramatic match. It really showed just how much each guy wanted to beat the other, and how desperate they were to get the final fall. LOVED the ending. A few weeks ago, there was a thread asking what could turn Zack heel, and the action with the brass knuckles planted the seeds perfectly. The foundation of a double turn with Zack and Sly was done very well, and I wouldn't be disappointed at all to see them have a rematch at School's Out with possibly the heel and face roles reversed.

Hermit, if it makes you feel better, I'm sure this thread will become a Classic.
  11. I think the fact that "Bringing Down the House" was nominated for not one award....not two awards.....but THREE awards.....is the most insulting part of these nominees. And, if I said it once, I'll say it again: Colin Farrell was screwed over by not getting a nomination for "Phone Booth." Such an underrated performance.

    Ask Dr. Frigid

If I had any intelligence, I would note the irony in this statement. But as it stands now, I believe This d00d sux0rs!!!!11!

    Ask Dr. Frigid

I would have thought that intelligence was a foreign concept to you. Well, to be fair, it's not like I ever said I actually had any.

    Ask Dr. Frigid

You should have just said the spelling mistake was an ironic twist. Would have made you seem MORE intelligent. Then again, it's still not too late.....
  16. Damn, I called the surprise booting, but I picked the wrong black girl. Still, I deserve SOME credit for calling her in the Bottom 3. What makes that any more different than usual? George must be the first mentally retarded American Idol performer.
  17. Those damn glass-ceiling Seniors finally get to you?
  18. I think Jasmine picked "Lilo & Stitch", with the whole Hawaiian thing reminding her of home or something....
  19. Fantasia has that "fuzzy caterpillar lips" thing going for her. No reason why she can't be successful as well.
  20. Then you may not like the changes made to my sig.
  21. Yeah, I think it was. Either way, the quote stays. It just describes me so well.
  22. I'm disappointed by the lack of people falling off 20-foot platforms. It just doesn't feel like Smackdown. And I'd be disgusted if I paid money for a Smackdown ticket, and the Main Event was Eddie Guerrero vs. D-Von Dudley. Christ, talk about those people getting screwed.....
  23. Damn, looks like I'm getting snubbed. Even after I took out the time to post TWICE at your forum. Friggin ungrateful.....
  24. Well, right. Because that Ruben Studdard is a hot piece of ass..... Anyway, I enjoyed LaToya's, Jennifer's, Diana's, and Jasmine's performances last night. All very well done. Fantasia's was alright, but the whole "soul-church" style just isn't my preference so I couldn't get into it. George was absolutely terrible, just as he was last week. I've never liked him and his whole "Gosh, I'm happy for everything." act he has going. Yep, it's definitely an act. If the voting was fair, he would go NEXT week. John was better than usual, but I want him out as quickly as possible. He's a one-trick pony that knows only ONE style of singing - and he's not even very good at THAT. He puts me to sleep with absolutely every performance, and he definitely doesn't deserve to go past any of the people left on the show. Common logic would say that John, Diana, or Jasmine will be going tonight. John because he sucks, Diana or Jasmine because they don't seem to have a strong audience for them. But, for some reason, I'm sensing an upset booting tonight. One of those "nobody voted for them because they were so sure everyone else did" kind of upsets. With that being said, I'm going out on a limb and saying LaToya might get the boot tonight. If not the boot, then bottom 3. Just a feeling I have....
  25. Perhaps it was Orton flying shirtless into a pile of thumbtacks... .....or getting thrown off the stage through a table..... .....or doing a great blade-job..... .....or getting his ass kicked throughout the match..... .....all while selling some actual FEAR of Mick Foley and the punishment he could have planned for him..... ...... .....but then again, that could have all been an illusion. And you could just disregard the hard work and physical sacrifices Orton made in the biggest match of his career thus far. And still getting his precious win after all that and can gloat about it the next day. Oh Give him a bandaide for the booboos What an absolutely terrible point. There was no other LOGICAL way to end that feud without Orton going over. And Randy, knowing that he was going to be coming out victorious at the culmination of the feud, still decided to take the bumps that he did. He did it to increase the quality of the match, and to make Foley look like he's still a badass. Just because he went over in a feud - a feud that the WRITERS decided who won and a feud that he obviously SHOULD have went over in anyway - doesn't take anything away from the bumps he took in that match. There really comes a point that people have to put personal preferences aside and just recognize a wrestler for doing a good job in a match. Regardless of whether or not you like Orton, he should still get credit for taking the bumps he took - bumps that Vince probably tried to talk him out of, but he wanted to do it for the benefit of the feud. But no, instead, we can make asinine comments like "Oh Give him a bandaide for the booboos".
