Oh, the gimmick is unbelievably terrible. Regardless of whether or not it gets Dinsmore on television, it is still an amazingly horrible idea. But, once again, I think it's the bias of people that are getting in the way of realizing that the idea goes beyond idiocy. When it was the writers they came up with this garbage, people around here couldn't stop throwing blame on them. Now that's it Dinsmore idea, automatically some seem to find it tolerable? No, it's still pathetic, regardless of who came up with it. However, some people enjoy Nick, so they're willing to actually convince themselves that it will work out in the end. If you thought the writers were stupid for coming up with the idea, then you HAVE to think that Nick's stupid for coming up with the same idea. It's only fair. This is like the Brock Lesnar situation all over again. Some TSMers tried to pretend as if his walking out was completely justified, and there was no problem with it whatsoever. But they based that on the fact that they liked his wrestling BEFORE he left and on the basis that they enjoyed his character on TV. Yet, when someone like Steve Austin "took his ball and went home", it was unacceptable and some couldn't stop taking pleasure in badmouthing him. Why was it acceptable for Brock to leave the company that made him and sorely needs him, yet it wasn't acceptable for Austin to do the same thing? The bias of people get in the way. Same concept here. I don't really see how this character can be defended. What kind of marketing is available? A shirt that reads "You're not retarded if you believe in yourself"? A large foam finger reading "I'm Special" that points to yourself? Who's going to buy Nick Dinsmore merchandise? Better yet, who's going to buy a PPV on the basis of seeing Nick Dinsmore wrestle. Who's going to believe that Dinsmore actually has a shot of becoming the Intercontinental Champion? It's a DEAD-END gimmick. It makes the new guy look like a complete joke, it takes away any credibility he could have in a serious feud, and his audience is based on hoping that middle-aged men and angsty teenagers will say "Hey, let's rally around the retarded guy and hope he wins!" The angle is trash. It was trash when we thought creative come up with it. It's trash now that we know Nick Dinsmore came up with it himself. Anybody that changed their opinion of the gimmick along the way are just delusional.

Hmmmm....the Mets have managed to blow a game again..... Color me surprised. Optimism is an unreliable thing. Just look at Yankee fans for the past 3 years.
-
Mets up 6-0 now after Furcal messed up a simple grounder. Is it possible?? Could the Mets end ANOTHER day with a better record than the Yankees?? *watches Anglesault immediately drop his A-Rod jersey and run to buy a Kaz Matsui one instead*
-
Mets up 5-0. Piazza with a 2-run homer. Cameron with a solo homerun. 8 hits off Mike Hampton. Not bad. Not bad at all.

Nah, I wouldn't put this topic into classics. It's a good thread and all, but it certainly isn't great. I would rank "Trish Stratus as a 50 year old black woman" above it, but I wouldn't put that in classics either.

How has the image of Eugene NOT been implanted in your head?! Talk about a GENIUS IDEA!!

So, just to go over the Backlash card.... There are only five matches AND We still don't know if the Main Event will be a ladder match..... ....well, yeah, at least they're planning ahead.

WWE Notes: Orton, SD! Rating, Mexico Show, More

What an absolutely terrible card. Besides the vague interest factor in the World Tag Titles match, there is absolutely nothing else on that card. -
Amen! I'm more likely to laugh at something on The Sopnranos than just about any comedies. While I like comedy, something gotta hit me hard to spark any kind of laughter from me. Completely agree. I was laughing for a good five minutes when Junior kept repeating "He was never a varsity athlete" at the dinner table, with Tony finally snapping. It was so simple, yet so funny. The Sopranos are one of the few shows that actually make me laugh. If I had to make a list of shows that actually make me LAUGH OUT LOUD: Family Guy, The Sopranos, South Park, The Daily Show, Seinfeld That might be it. The Simpsons get more of a grin or smile rather than an actual laugh.

I enjoyed the Dama/Northstar confrontation in the back. Although I admittedly don't know much about their history, that segment seemed to sum up the now-tense relationship between them. And though I may be looking too much into it, I'm wondering if that smile from Skull Mask is some type of subtle hint towards a turn......possibly......maybe. Now, Dama, I do have this interesting idea for a possible angle between Drek/Dama. It doesn't necessarily have to be this month, but it could wind up becoming an exciting feud. Hit me up on PM if you might be interested..... Sweet PM me about it. No problem. I'll try to get the PM to you sometime tomorrow.

(Thanks for the compliment, WHAT?) Great show. I liked the interaction between Cone and CWM, and the Hoff/Crystal match was actually a lot of fun to read. The Gibraltar/Hoff feud is already looking like it could be one of the more interesting feuds this month. And, of course, when talking about positives, I would have to mention the concluding Zack/Sly segment. I'm sure it's going to lead to an awesome match. It was just a very entertaining show all around. Especially that new superstar, Drek Stone. That guy has some SERIOUS potential in the OAOAST! Feel free to give more positive comments if you'd like Now.....if only he could find someone to feud with.....

Name: “Reckless” Drek Stone Age: 26 Height: 6’2 Weight: 235 Hometown: Brooklyn, New York Alignment: Cocky heel Stable Affiliation: None at this time Wrestling Style: Pretty much an all-rounder. He enjoys using different styles of wrestling when the time comes for it. He has no problem using high-flying moves, technical skills, or brawling tactics if the situation requires it. He’s also, at times, able to overcome his opponent with power. He’s not particularly the absolute best at any of these styles, but he does have good knowledge of using them to his advantage. Theme Music: “Woke Up This Morning” by A3 (The Sopranos Theme Song) Entrance Style: WHEN NOT WRESTLING: There are no flashy lights, fireworks, or anything else interesting happening. Only his theme song plays as he struts down to ringside. He wants everyone on the crowd to be centered on him, and him alone. WHEN WRESTLING: The arena turns a slightly darker shade as “Woke Up This Morning” plays over the loudspeakers. Walking down to ringside, he poses for the fans, practically smirking the entire way. He knows the fans dislike him, but he doesn’t try to invoke that hatred by being overly aggressive. Instead, he prefers to be amazingly smug and conceited. Once he gets in the ring, he pounds his chest non-chalantly with a grin on his face. At this point, fireworks suddenly rise from the four corners around the ring. Finally, Drek is ready for action. Ring Attire: WHEN NOT WRESTLING: Whenever Drek comes out for an interview, guest commentating, or anything that doesn’t require him to wrestle, he likes to wear an expensive-looking suit. Complete with both silver watch and silver chain, he looks incredibly arrogant. Style is something that is very important to Drek, and he conveys this idea any way he can. From his polished, black shoes to his neatly gelled hair, he attempts to look as professional as he can. WHEN WRESTLING: Shiny, black long tights. Imprinted on the left and right sides of his attire are small Italian flags. They’re noticeable, but not big enough to be a distraction. The word “Drek” is emblazoned on the back of his tights in a golden script style. He also wears polished black boots, neatly taped gloves, and a silver chain whenever he’s wrestling. Finishing Moves: The StoneCutter (Implant DDT) The Recker (Dragon Suplex) Signature Moves: Impact: Running Powerbomb, Side Effect, Diamond Dust Submission: Corner Figure-Four Leglock, Texas Cloverleaf Aerial: Moonsault, Somersault Leg Drop, High Cross-Body Basic Moveset: Punches, wear-down moves, various high-impact moves, occasional aerial spots, and posing. Trademark Gestures: Arrogant smirk. He’s known to stop and fix his hair in the middle of a match. During a match, he also likes to pound his chest or hold his arms out wide, awaiting boos from the crowd. History/Background/Career Highlights: Drek Stone was born in Naples, Italy in 1978 to two Italian parents. His father was the head of a local mob unit in Naples, and was respected among the people in central Italy. However, when Drek was three, his family was forced to flee to the United States after a rival gangster family put a hit out on his father. They moved to New York City, where his dad quickly established new connections, starting his own restaurant business. At the age of eight, Drek began to run simple favors for his dad. Sometimes he would have to deliver important packages to “family friends.” Other times, he would be asked to prepare drinks for his father’s more important business partners. Drek became enamored with the mobster life. However, at the age of 17, his father was assassinated by two men representing the rival family from Naples so many years ago. It became a mission for Drek to find the guys that did this. He wasn’t stupid enough to go after the Don, but he felt he had to get revenge against these two men for his own sanity. Within a few months, he found them in a bar, quite content and unarmed. He quickly attacked the both of them and beat them until they were absolutely bloody. Yet, at this point, something snapped inside Drek. He began to enjoy this ruthless beating of the two men, and became more excited with every punch. He couldn’t stop himself from smiling. Never had he felt such a rush before. Not wanting to deal with a full-blown war and the “fucking reckless” ways of Drek – one of the new main members of his family - the two families came to a tentative truce. Drek was invited to become a main capo of his mob family, but he politely declined. He knew he had a new career waiting for him. A career in professional wrestling. For eight years, Drek Stone has been wrestling under the name of “Reckless” and meeting resounding success. Upon winning the WWCF Hardcore Title in his first match, things have gone uphill for Drek Stone. As Reckless, he won secondary titles in two different federations, and was actually the Heavyweight Champion in THREE different federations. With each passing win and title capture, his ego has continued to grow larger. Not only has he become much more arrogant, but he’s now completely consumed with his appearance as well. Between his previous success in the mobster world, and his current success in the world of professional wrestling, Drek is beginning to feel as if he’s unstoppable. Running roughshod over any federation he’s entered, he’s confident the trend won’t end anytime soon. With his self-proclaimed “untouchable wrestling skills” and “unbeatable handsome looks,” he feels he’ll be a success anywhere he goes. Why, in fact, he’s already planned his next career move. His next stop? The OAOAST.

It's impossible to know the answers to such questions. Personally, I've always found the last person you mentioned to be a bit of a douche.

Sure, I'd like to be an attention whore. Grade me.

Face it. Mentally retarded people love to talk about FrigidSoul. Whether that's a good thing or a bad thing is open to interpretation.

All of these "What do you think of me?" threads...
NYU replied to justsoyouknow's topic in No Holds Barred
I'm not going to get into a "my social life is better than yours" argument with you, since that would be pointless. I'd tell you about my life and you'd just call me a liar or say that you don't care, so I won't bother. Since all I've seen you do is float around here and insult people...poorly, might I add. "You all look like my ass...BEFORE I SHAVE IT!" Oh! Ha! MAN that's rich! You're a third-rate Chave heel turn, and nothing more. I'm gonna go get some coffee with the wife, have fun talking about me while I'm gone. I'll start. Man, fireball games are for pussies. -
Did you miss the armpit folds? The woodchuck-size choppers? The slightly scaly skin with the oddly placed birthmarks? Kylie DOES look good in some pictures, but she's a mess in this one.
-
Now, I understand that TSM members have different tastes and all, but.... Click with caution..... Kylie needs to make sure her make-up artist and airbrusher never leave her. Otherwise, we may be left with this mess.

Well, no......my dick goes into hibernation when it sees Nidia's caterpillar lips. And as for Molly..... Yeah....not for me either.

I've always thought she looks like she has Down's Syndrome.

Time for me to get my A+...... .....er....B....?..... um......C-........ ....... .....ah, fuck it. Grade me anyway.
